      Hey Fujioo001:) terrific, great to meet you Fuji :) thank you so much for commenting and being the first comment !!! gratulation‘s, yeah a lot of work went to this one but it was worth it it’s a really nice build beautiful Board great solid company very happy to help people make the right choices …man this board 😁 I’ve got to be careful on what I recommend and what I don’t actually review a lot of Boards went back this year to Vendors already without even making it to the channel, but this is a keeper. With that solid looking deck, how does it do with vibrations and bumps on the road? Is there any flex in the deck? How is the turning circle vs DKP?

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад +1

      Hey hey D Driver ;) Man good to hear from you, what a great question or should I say two questions, first of all there’s not a lot of flex in the deck agreed but that’s as you know I don’t like a lot of flex. Having said that I’ve been riding the Beast board today with the little dog and I do like the reverse camber bouncy bounce flex on that reminds me of the Boosted Board’s… so I am now enjoy both feels more .. however, I like this with the strong rigidity as solid as … doesn’t flex as safe as, in terms that Teac APs they do carve pretty g at high speeds …good at medium to high speeds carves like crazy slow maybe 5 to 8 k’s an hour tight circles not as tight as a double kingpin obviously…but if I’m going to do that kind of stuff and use a different board this is a perfect group ride night ride Board super Save super solid and super stable at high speeds but also you can carve pretty tightly around any boardwalk walking Trail footpath even tighter than 90° no problem… my major concern was the squeakiness of the 2 part deck that was it would have been be a dealbreaker for me but it doesn’t make any sound at all which is crazy… hope that helps it’s a lot of money but it’s worth every cent when you compare it to say they didn’t you getting bigger motors much Hadean it’s way more powerful more torquey more top speed solid build remote no dropouts … that batt … geez .. no range issues this will be dynamic range Board for sure ;) hope that helps cheers Andrew ⚔️

    average speed 7.8kph, it's no wonder you got that range buddy, but I guess with the *cough* extra weight, compensates a little hehe. how long to charge and how warm does the battery get on pushing it hard, hot batteries means shorter life. I like scary, I'll take it... if I could get rid of my eovan.

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад +1

      Hey phzsikcs ;) Great to hear from you, yeah I know this happens every time I don’t pause it when I have lunch or dinner and we sat around for awhile so then it stuffs up the whole average speed but yeah we were pretty much sitting on I suppose 28 k’s an hour most of the time except around people, but yeah bloody pause button must remember to do that otherwise are completely corrupt average speed stuffs it all up… I kinda like the button on and charge port on top because there’s no chance we’re getting sprayed with dirt and rubbish as I said in the video you can put that blue tack over and if it does pour down completely seals it has the effect of completely waterproofing the area technically LOL well to what degree they can be …these Electric Skateboards… all in all a pretty amazing Board the Osprey Uber super powerful really solid feel too safe riding at high speeds great for big group rides in a carve dept is pretty nice but more stable than sketchy agile which I kinda like these days with shitty roads lol ;) have a awesome day thanks for the comment brilliant cheers Andrew ⚔️

      Hey Ryn ;) thanks so much for watching and reaching out, apparently there's a new version coming out bigger Battery and Esk8unity is going to review it check that out as well you'll have to check with the company Vestar shipping to Europe and I'm not sure if they use seafreight or freight but I've no longer sort of dealing with the logistics of how they get sent but I can honestly tell you it's the most waterproof Eboard you can get it's beautifully designed it's a solid piece of well-made flawless engineering I love my Osprey Forged carbon I use it every day is my favourite Board hope that helps check out Freddy's review coming up at Esk8 unity RUclips with a bigger battery the same Board awesome cheers Andrew ⚔️

    awesome vid! From what I understand, one could buy the smaller battery config and then upgrade to the bigger one? I dont see a 13S8P product to buy on the page?

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад +2

      Hey Velebrz ;) thank you so much for awesome feedback made my day, great to meet you and welcome aboard the channel. Yes this is extraordinary piece of engineering the Osprey 👍 I’m a big fan of the quality control and component builds of Vestarboard‘s boards … now been taken over by new management new ownership lots of money behind it lots of backing it really is a pristine high-performance piece of kit
      this Osprey Carbon :) I seriously just love the lights it’s just integrated beautifully high-quality, one of it’s great features super stable truck system the carves like crazy especially good at high speeds just love this TKP but also the awesome as I said watertight deck design with lights really makes for a great night ride :) i’m riding it every day is my number one Board to ride the moment highly recommended. In terms of Battery yes the website has a drop-down menu for the optional battery’s or second button to click for the 13S8P version .. you’ll see two boxes and they highlight black when they’re selected ✅ the second battery is under the first bath choice the one by default… The price increases when you click the upgrade bigger batt by AU$500 but that’s understandable and is still extraordinary value for a such a high quality big battery the Samsung M50Lt’s @ 1,920wh :) hope that helps let me know how you go have an awesome day cheers Andrew ⚔️

      @@zulupenman thanks for such an exhaustive response. Much appreciated!!! Regarding the battery comment, I worded it poorly. I can see the selection for the board config. I was asking if lets say I buy the smaller battery, and then after a few months decide to buy the larger one, I dont see the larger batter in the accessories tab....

    Hello i have this board and also the same problem with the front wheels being loose. So just removing the spacer will solve the problem? Would the bearings move around without the spacer?

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад

      Hey Eric sorry for late reply, yes I think they fix this now because of spacer was a little bit too big (hence you couldn’t tighten the hub nut properly as if it home … it would have a slight rattle because it was hitting home) but if you’ve got one like mine just remove the spacer…. you don’t need it there. The reason you have a spacer normally is because your normal Urethanes wheels flex and are soft then you need to have a metal spacer on metal to solidly hold it tight … and solidly, but these wheels have a metal insert in the metal wheel rim …. The rim recess holds the bearing in place solidly …it just sits in that in an area recess it’s the same way of like having a spacer in there … so no you don’t need the spacer in it, so the bearing pushes into the metal recess of the wheel rim … and that will hold it in solidly no need for any space, also my Osprey long-range distance test goes up this week …have a look at it I took about the bushings it comes with …I removed those standard black bushings and put nice ones in much softer spongery 80a green and 78a roadside cones … they are a lot quieter and I don’t have any rattle or clunkiness now … it makes a big difference. It’s a fantastic Board the Osprey I am absolutely blown away with it and it’s my number one Board ….watch the Long Range Distance Test video and it comes out next week long-range got an incredible record nearly for a 16 amp our battery, have an awesome day chat again cheers Andrew

    Great review! Its a great looking board to be sure, but id be scared to take it offroad and get it all bashed up on firetrails!. And I love the TKP's.. Ive recently taken the middle stages out of the DKP trucks on my AT board which makes them TKP and way more stable, and the turn is about the same with softer bushings.

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад

      Hey Mike E great to meet you and fantastic comment, that’s what I wanted some more back up for this whole issue of TKp’s first DKP’s …look I like carving like crazy as you know but now I’m starting to really feel much safer at 63 years of age sitting on a single kingpin just has a real nice stable feel at high speeds. Wow thank you so much for your feedback. I totally agree it’s such a nice board to be a shame to stuff it up underneath however one good Andrew Penman classic modification hack is just put 2 Velcro hook sided on each end on both sides only …and get a thin 2.2mm stainless plate with slightly rounded the front and back cut to fit exact on the base and that would then take completely all the hits (The Forge carbon will certainly hold underneath there no problem) protect it … but it will just still protect the bottom for that sort of stuff then when you want to go riding on the day somewhere in the city you could take velcro it off it all off it looks pretty cool .. you would just have 2 strips of Velcro at each end .. you never notice it…a couple of velcro skateboard logo patches over those Velcro ends to further hide it … pretty cool idea ;) have an awesome week thanks Mike cheers Andrew ⚔️

    • @mikee5822

      @@zulupenman Hey yeah, an awesome idea to make a bash plate for some undercarriage protection! Id prob go for about 1mm aluminium instead, and im thinking I need that on the board im running now just to save the hits to the battery! Thanks for the tip and stay tuned for my shiny one the bottom mod! Anyway, keep up the awesome reviews and I might see you on the beaches one day!

    • @zulupenman
      @zulupenman  Год назад

      Hey Mike, so you are Northern beaches or Sydney Dude … fantastic, definitely organise a meet up for sure coffee I’ll be down at the curl curl netball courts a fair bit doing some SmoothStar stuff should come and have a go so much fun I’ll organise that with you 👍 , I’m off to Europe for 3 weeks soon and when I’m back so organise something in August, look, absolutely t’s a great idea of mine😀I did it on my folding travelling ShakaBoard z1 board and you’re right 1.5 mm stainless steel is better … and I cut it to fit exactly the bottom of my board and then I put two Velcro strips on it which left a bit of airation ventilation and cooling which is a brilliant also idea and then when I take it off you got two little tiny Velcro strips of the hook material which you can’t see on a black background.. which doesn’t get dirty and then you just put Velcro patches of vans or Sims or kryptonite whatever over those when the protection plate is off ie get material skate patches online and your Velcro those by sewing the smooth soft velcro on the back of the patches .. and then they just Velcro on it to hide the other velcro … looks so cool when you’re not got the bash guard on, it’s a brilliant concept I’m full of these ideas that’s why my channel so good lol … for these kind of modification hacks, awesome like that look really good and you can bash all you want stone hit you can do what you want take it off and that’s pristine underneath except the two little bits of Velcro… it definitely worked a treat for me on my folding travel board in Europe I bottomed out six times on it and then I took it off and it was pristine stainless underneath… have an awesome week thanks for the support and awesome good vibes thanks mate cheers Andrew ⚔️

    Off the top: DO NOT BUY! This is the worst customer service you can hope to never experience. More on the actual board down below. But this is more important. So ... Did I pay $300 for 5-7 day shipping? You bet I did. Did I receive my board in 5-7 days? No I did not. 2 weeks? Nope. A month? Negative. Well it turned out (according to them after it took them 30 days to "figure out" what's happening) the container was stopped at the border and returned. Did they return my "Fast Shipping" money? To their credit they offered to, but me being the stand-up citizen that I am, I told them I will not accept it since it appeared to not be their fault. Did they think to add some bonus swag, like idk some cloudwheels or something to make up for their f-ck up? Ha! No way. Okay so I finally get my board 40+ days later, summer is running out: The remote breaks on DAY ONE. I had travelled 200 miles from home to ride trails in Tri-Cities, got a hotel for couple nights, and the first morning of the first day of attempting to ride it, the remote stopped working after 2 miles. So now my $800 weekend is toast. I sent them a video of my broken remote, asked them to send me a new one at the fastest shipping possible. The remote weighs like 30 grams, it would not cost them much to send it by air. Maybe $30. I know because I regularly buy stuff from China for my resale business. Well these a$$holes sent it by a f-cking SHIP! It took 47 days to reach me! What a bunch of self centered a$$holes with no regard for customers. I even bought the $2k version with extra battery, I literally spent the most amount of money you can possibly spend with them and this was how they treat treat you for doing business with them. Just a full frontal F-CK YOU to your face. I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy.
    As for the board. It's great. It does 33mph. The range is 45 miles.
