$9.99 at WFs for me. I wasn't a big fan back in that brief moment when black IPAs were more popular. Fast forward to today and this is tasting sooooo good.
Over the years I always come back to Firestone walker. Never disappointed with anything they do. Along with Great Divide, they are the most reliable brewery I’ve come across.
I picked this up yesterday. I payed 13 for it in VA. It was the first time I had it and it is really good. It didn't blow me away like Sublimely Self Righteous did back in the day but that rarely happens with me anymore.
I think Sublimely Self Righteous is a bit more over the top with the hops/bitterness like Stone does. I drank them side by side l think last year. I’ll have to check that video out again to see if my memory is correct 🍻
My favorite non-barrel aged beer from FSW. That rye spice really sets it off for me, honestly. As someone who doesn't absolutely love Black IPAs, this is one I always seek out. Fantastic stuff. Totally agree with everything you said. Great review, sirness. Cheers!
Silly goose, I reviewed this one last February. I'M AHEAD OF THE CURVE! Truthfully, it showed up for the first time in years early last year, so I grabbed it to review.
I live in California and haven't had it myself in a long time it seems. Although I have tried some of their BA releases now in the last year and a half
Haven't had this yet, I think, and you're right that a 6 might be too much. Stone does a mixed 6 for their delicious ipas, so I think FW should do a mixed 6 w/ union jack, mind haze, and a rotating ipa like this one. Hope to find at trader Joe's where I can pick a can out a pack to purchase as a single.
FW has a mixed 12 that has Union Jack, Hopnosis, Luponic Distortion and another IPA. They just don’t date the box it comes in so I never buy them in fear they’d be super old.
@@jsenigaglia I think most people, me included, are weary of 12ers. I get this is a great value for the customer and the long-time breweries can afford to sell that way but I'd rather get 2 different 4 or 6ers or one pack and some single bottles/can options available at a store.
Whaat?! Did not know this was happening. Easily one of my all time favorites. Definitely seeking this out. Bring back Black IPA!
Go grab some! 🍻👊🏼

WF = Whole Foods?

Hey Joe, you love em
Sho nuff
I wish we could still get FW in Mass...I'd like to try Union Jack again...

UJ are in FW mixed packs here but they don’t date the outside of the cases so I’m always hesitant to spend the $ on them.

I get the citrus, orange, tangerine in rye whiskey, and high rye bourbon. 🍻
Speaking of.... its almost Wednesday ;)
I think I like WJ slightly aged! It's still hoppy, but that rich roasty backbone character comes more forward.
WJ, like Celebration, ages beautifully :)
