They could just go back to being themselves -- The Usos. And if you remember, Jey even initially scoffed at the idea of being Tribal Chief when Heyman said he was "Looking more and more like a Tribal Chief everyday". So with Jey deciding go after the Tribal Chief ranking, that was essentially him going against the entire sentiment and plan that he and Jimmy both fought so hard for. Tribal Combat wasn't Jey avenging Jimmy, it was Jey betraying Jimmy and leaving him behind for something they agreed they didn't want any part of anymore. At least in Jimmy's eyes.
This makes sense but it ignores the fact that Jey was apparently reluctant to go after the title of tribal chief. Remember Jey said at tribal court "you making me do this" he felt he was forced because Roman hurt Jimmy. Jey even says the idea of tribal combat was their elders idea so it's not even really Jeys fault, he was doing what the elders suggested.

Time constraints... if Roman walked like a normal person during his entrance, we would have 10 minutes free. I spam the 15-second skip button when he enters because it is so bloody long. The Jimmy/Jey thing could be several things; Jimmy is pissed that Jay went after Roman instead of caring more about his brother and given the context of them splitting from roman it seems sort of understandable. Jimmy believes he's helping Jay by preventing him from becoming the head of the family and stopping him from becoming Roman and knows Jay won't stop just because he asked nicely. Jimmy actually has amnesia caused by restricted air flow from the spike and now suffers from amnesia. Jimmy was instructed by one of the elders to ensure Roman wins, with the promise of them stripping him of the mantle of Chief and restoring order to the family, which ties in to the second option.
Jimmy gets told by papa Rikishi to choose wisely or else get disowned from the family and written out of the will - IRL, even, to sell the threat. That's about as simple a reason as you can get and it would make sense, since Rikishi IS supportive of Roman in kayfabe.

We tried to sit and watch the Rhonda /Shayna match . We sat camera side and we couldn’t tell what was really going on in the ring as the big screen was blocked by the sound rigging . That type of match just didn’t translate well with the crowd and the smoking area was packed
