Agree..., Bought my third 530I over the various years last summer. I enjoy the straight 6. Found a mint 530I (E39) with papers from a lady. Took me 5 years to find it. What a treasure. BUT beware, Maintain yourself or can be very expensive...,
Thats nice mate! The straight sixes are just fantastic engines. Maintenance can be expensive, but do lot of precautions and change oil+filters every year/10k km and you should be fine with engine wise. Engines are solid, but on cooling department, that's a whole another story. Plastic pieces over time gets brittle, so yeah, those arent that good.
there will never be another 5 series looking this amazing, this is just pure class the epitome of style! incredible!

BMW really designed something special with the E39. Honestly, I'm not sure if they will ever be able to design something that looks so perfect in everyway. Sure, modern BMWs look awesome but the E39 is a timeless design. It is like the perfect example of how a German sports sedan should look.

I tried to buy a e60, e90 and e83 but they just... Suck so much. I test drove them and they feel like a Honda and very plasticy
Thats a shame. The F10/F01 build material and generel quality stepped up the game from E6X and E9X)

I´ve had my 2003 530i since 2013. My first BMW was a E34 525i -94. This was in -02. All my cars after are E39´s. I am 57 years old. I have a economical plan to keep my black sedan alive for the rest of my life.

Any one who dislikes are people who don't own an e39. Get them while you can because they are becoming rare.
Not in Europe, countries like Bulgaria, Latvia, Norway, Germany etc. are filled with them

No disrespect, I have the E39 and the E34 but the E34 is still the King to me. Its got the masculine look,the E39 is more of a Queen. A very beautiful one no doubt.

Still the best Sedan in the world! And the m52/m54 6 cylinder engines are great, in my opinion better than the m62 v8 engines. Some really nice Cars you got there 👌🏻

got the same wheels but 17' ....so beautifull proud...!the 2.0 lt with 150 hp was a fail cause it doesnt give u a shit...but its an amazing car to drive...!!proud about it ❤
Yeah, since we got huge taxes on cars in Norway, the 2.0 liters are hugely popular since, its economical, and same luxury as 540. Norwegian often goes for lot of options but "weak" engine. I really dont like that, but I understand why, im not an ignorant.

E39 are fantastically beautiful cars in my option, but I wish I had more power on my M52B28 (2.8liter), maybe a supercharger solves the problem? :)
+Zymh no way man!u will solve the acceleration problem..but u will destroy ur engine...!i dont know ur age or ur what u can afford...but in e39 u could go to the bmw official which guarantee u one improvement without taxes...the 2.0 lt goes to 2.4 and the 150hp increazes to 220hp i think...dont remember exactly..

Im after a E39, a 525 infact 😃 but a 525d in the UK £2K for a decent one is good money for me to buy 😃 plus that Bravarian quality 👍 I'd love a Sport 2002 or 03 preferebley also keep the vids coming there great!

Nice, you should absolutely get the facelift models (01-03), they are with most features and just generally better and many things and quirks sortet out. The prices in UK seems cheap compared to here in Norway lol.
Try to find one with the lowest mileage and properly maintained with OEM quality parts. Good Luck
