- The rate of stolen guns from cars climbed nearly every year and spiked during the coronavirus pandemic along with a major surge in weapons purchases in the U.S., according to the report, which analyzes FBI data from 337 cities in 44 states and was provided to The Associated Press.
No doubt you let 8 million thieves into the country
25+ million.
Better than 70 million fascists.
This was a problem before you were told to worry about migrants.
@@noahbirdrevolution yes now times it by 8 million illegal aliens and its 8 million times worse close the border stopped giving money to all of these War mongers across the planet and let's take care of American citizens right here at home after the major deportation
@@aes0p895 LOL so American citizens are Fascist and all the illegal aliens are just fine huh so are you a chatbot an immigrant or a Democrat
Happens because the law abiding citizens follow the law and have to leave in vehicles because of not being able to carry on our person because of no weapons in everywhere we enter and then becomes a habit of leaving in vehicle.
Happens because idiots think they need to carry guns for mundane purposes to feel tough. The founders never intended for untrained idiots to carry guns around for mundane purposes. You weren't even allowed to carry a gun in public unless you were on your way to militia training.
Hey, how about this. Give gun owners the right to carry their guns freely, without harassment and watch those numbers go down.
But homicides will multiply like rabbits
@@emjay2045 by definition... ish. But justified by just as many laws
You already have that in Florida and it is part of the problem. If you were in 1780 USA you would not be allowed to just willy nilly carry a gun to town for mundane purposes, because the founders knew that guns were for defending the nation, not trying to look and feel tough in public.
@@noahbirdrevolution This has nothing to do with the founding fathers, they didn't have cars 200 years ago.
@@Xx-po1fu The exploitation of 2a by the gun lobby and faux-patriots has everything to do with what the founders intended. In fact the regressive/conservative justices routinely say they base decisions on what the founders intended, but then do the opposite because they are puppets of elites who want a destabilized and divided US.
Everytown, you can stop listening whenever you hear that name. Pushing their agenda. 😢
Stop leaving deadly weapons where people can just take them, maybe?
The question should be, why are people leaving their guns in their cars.
Gun free zones , you can't enter with a gun so you have to leave it in your car
Maybe because they can't bring their gun into "gun free zones"?
They can’t confiscate your guns if they got stolen and you have police report.
Mainly because their employers don't trust them to carry a gun into work around their boss.
@@paulconner4614 so leave it at home genius. all you are doing is arming criminals.
Thats no bullets its pellets 😂😂
Keep it on you at all times.....gun free zones and buildings cause people to leave in theur cars....change carry conceal laws and where you can carry and this problem would be minimzed a bit
Also....the credibility of this "story" is highly suspect as soon as we were told that "Everytown" was involved in the creation of this news media story.
0:07 They must be talking about pellet guns according to the picture in the background 🤣
Sounds like I lost my guns in a boating accident.
Blame everyone except the idiots who leave their guns in their cars.
What kinda fool leaves fire arms in their cars?
Dem Criminals
Because 1 in 5 , thats 20% are armed . Police are after the act . Then beat and arrests the victim usually.
Check out lost & mossing guns of the FBI & ATF !
This is for all the Homeowners and parents to figure out
They got to get them some where.
A tethered vehicle security box is cheap and will prevent theft of a firearm in a "smash and grab" style theft, which is probably the majority of vehicle break-ins. Negligently, some of these thefts occur from unlocked vehicles. If you aren't responsible enough to lock your car door, then there is a high probability you aren't responsible enough to operate a firearm and you probably should not own one. Also, don't put firearm company decals and pro-firearm messages on your vehicle. This makes it too easy on criminals to determine which vehicles are likely to have a firearm inside. Just common sense stuff can prevent a lot of these thefts.
As states intensify and restrict a persons ability to carry firearms they are forced to leave them in cars. It is better to leave them in a car than risk having someone see you carry it and get you arrested. Connecticut now has destroyed open carry and made it a crime. Outrageous!.
Criminals know where the gun free zones are, and they hit the parking lots nearby.
When our nation was founded the founders didn't carry guns around on a daily basis. Many towns and territories outlawed the carrying of weapons. 2A was intended for members of the militia who would report to training with their guns - because it was their right to bear arms to defend the nation, not to act tough with a gun in their carriage (like idiots with them in their cars). There was never a right to carry a gun for mundane daily purposes like grocery shopping, going out to eat, or to church. The far right is obsessed to the point it puts LEOs and our communities at greater risk. Time to start with smart regulations and back to requiring licenses to carry a gun.
Coming from New Jersey as I do where you keep your car LOCKED so your grandmother doesn't steal it ( That's a joke people!) there's certain rules I live by which have served me well.
1) Keep your car locked when you're not in it!
2) Even if it's locked NEVER leave anything "tasty-looking" in plain sight in your car! A potential thief should see absolutely nothing in your car worth wasting his time on. Thieves are opportunists.
3) Never, EVER keep a gun where you're not in control of it. By this I mean never in the car if you're not in the car yourself and if it's at home and you're not lock it up!
4) Don't put any kind of sticker on your car that might induce a thief to think there's something in your car worth going after. For example NRA stickers, computer club stickers, or any kind of high-end club stickers. Best to leave your car "slick" with no temptation stickers at all.
This is America of the 21st Century folks. There's no hiding place from crime anywhere anymore. Act accordingly.

Why would you leave your firearm in your car in the first place. It does you no good leaving it behind. That’s completely your fault.
gun free zones and thats everytowns fault
What they are not saying is the important message, perhaps the cars are those of the off duty ? Not enough information on this report.
@@alsatful Then at least lock your car doors and put the pistol into a tethered safe if you can't bear to leave your gun locked up at home. (it is possible to survive without it)
@@whyareyousoangry7322 Very doubtful, off duty law enforcement are much smarter than that.
