I havegave the Small Steps for Catholic Moms book and it's awesome. The story The Boy who Became Pope is one of my children's favourites...St Pope John Paul's story is so inspiring.

I've taken a leaf out of your book Heather and am pretty much all done with my shopping. I even bought myself a gorgeous statue of Madonna & Child online, wrapped it up (before opening the box) and labelled it to me from my husband. I told him he can relax as he's already got me my present and that he wouldn't have thought to buy it for me - he just laughed!

I was just looking at Theology of the Home and saw reviews saying the houses were way too “upscale”/discouraging for those of us with simple houses. Did you feel that way?
I was curious about this book. It looks beautiful but do you feel you will go back to it year after year? Or is it more of a "borrow" book. Where it's nice to read through and look through. But if you had to buy it again you would skip the purchase?
Actually I felt like it was mainly homey, I think to have a book it probably has to be a little upscale for people to buy it but honestly I could find a lot of the things at thrift stores or ikea. I don't think it is over the top:)
I have been wanting to make space by donating toys that the kids use but the issue is that I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Eventually the toys that the 3 year old doesn’t use will be used by the 1 year old. How do you deal with that problem?
