I think with instant locs you can wash day of or any time. Well, at least that's been my experience and what I've found from research. I won't wash them for another 2 weeks though which is when my retwist appointment is.

I waited a week but only because I had to wait for an appointment but you can wash it the same day

+YATO275 Personally I would wait 4 to 5 weeks, because anything before that could cause them to come down or anything along those lines.
