I think this song was showing that he felt like he didn't have a career choice. At a young age he was forced to sing with his brothers. But they soon realized how good he was. The people wanted more from Michael and wanted him to be perfect. He was only human. I believe he was very broken inside, but tried not to show it. Poor Michael. RIP. You will always be in our hearts. 💕💕💕

I surprised, how deep the lyrics are in this music. It's actually telling a story of woman who is never appreciated by her husband or her boss at work even after working so hard. As she becames a slave to the rythm (love), she thinks it as her duty to look after the family. Once she got fed up of all of this, she ran away from home "She danced to the beat of her own" means that she wanted to live by herself with her own decisions. But she soon realizes what she has done and thinks about the family and cries "She swallowed her pride. She knew she was needed back home" and she continues her slavery life again...
when you think about it the song also talks about how Michael as a young boy never had any freedom. everyone expected the absolute best from him and he could never change it no matter how much he wanted to.
