This is how you respond to criticism
Max Media Company facts bro
If you want to see how NOT to respond to criticism, watch KD in interviews.
Youd think a 148 million dollar contract would motivation enough
Matthew M if anything 148 million isn’t motivating.
Matthew M would you be motivated with 148 million? Lol
Embiid has handled it really well. A lot of people are very proud of him right now.
A lot of us are proud of him. He has the potential.
Who is us?
He need to keep up
Are you his mom? Proud of him lol
Really handled the constructive criticism, unlike most youngins his age but that's how you get better not whine go to work and get better, really liked how he handled things.
"a lot of people call their mama and try get people fired" ahh Javale McGee
😂😂😂😂😂
Zangelo Mlilo 😂😂😂😂
😭😭😭
You meant “JaVale McGeeeeeeeeeee” 😂
Chill with the Javale slander
S/O embiid! You gotta take criticism just like u accept a compliment
Well most times yes. People need to learn how to take insults sometimes. I dont mean like evil insults
JayInHisPrime_ *constructive criticism
Javale McGee!
@@addisonhinson6290 criticism is nlt an insult necessarily. I get what ur saying tho
Well said 💪💯
Kenny looking like an unfinished head in "create-a-player" mode in 2K
😂
😭😭
Hahaha so much 😂😂😂
I hate u so much for this 😂😂
@@drphot6050 I had to say it though 😁😁
Instead of crying about how there hating . He responded like these . 💪
criticism isn't hating. Criticism should be taken well, and used to improve ones skills.
He stepped up big time
Trump could learn from this, how to respond to criticism, although it would be nearly impossible since he can be criticized for breathing.
They gave him good advice thou they didn’t say he was trash
@@elmalloc facts but that's discussion for another time
Love when elite players can take criticism. Even if he doesn’t get any better but the fact that he took it like a man speaks volumes. I wish u the best young fella. 💪🏾
Lebron can`t. Remember when he got all personal about Chuck, when Chuck criticized his game? Brought up Chucks gambling problems etc.
Martti Hänninen lebron don’t like criticism
Martti Hänninen as a sixers fan that’s a major concern, not for embiid but for Simmons, he listens to Lebron so much ben thinks he’s already great
Chuck and Shaq have been there before so it was constructive criticism that Joel took to his heart. Interesting that there are still many prima donnas who go ballistic when criticised by ex ball players.
@@mursuka80 Stop lying, that wasn't criticism of his game, it was about how Lebron, the most carrier player of all time and that had to prepare to face the greatest superteam of all time of KD Warriors, didn't want to compete just because he was talking about a playmaker, an off moment by Sir Charles so.
the guys gonna address Kenny's "hair comeback" ? lol
Kenny been hanging out with Deon
they did already.
His hairline came back down in the 4th quater
he definitely tattooed his hairline, no hair in the ink
his hairline came back from being down 3-1
This is why Joel Embiid will have a Hall of Fame career. I feel like this moment will be looked back on as a real turning point.
MatthewFolger 76ers are a good bench player away from a ring
Darius Clark he definitely can’t he was questionable for every other game in the playoffs last year 😂😂
@Darius Clark i agree. He did hint that he was afraid his body would give up on him in the pre game interview. We'll see. If that happens let's hope he goes down swinging
@@joeylaker724able meanwhile your saying last year 🤣
Amen
This aged incredibly well, now Joel has been an MVP level player in the NBA the last 2 seasons. He is currently averaging 29 and only improving in all aspects of the game. This man is a Legend!
Did you google that lol
30.6 now gang🤝
Got that scoring title too! 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
And not winning a thing because he settles for jumpers
MVP
Shaq referencing Javale on "people calling there mamas" killed me
Him and Draymond
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Shaq acting like he was encouraging Javale McGee. He was jailing off that man weekly,McGee said something back to defend himself Chuck jumped in.
Could be a KD reference too
This felt like a therapy session.
For real
Yeah. Very true.
But Embiid handled very well, the guy is probably just shy and nice.
I like it, a gentle giant.
Awkward and unnecessary at times but interesting conversations
Loll
david lopez he definitely needed that speech bro who better then Shaq and Barkley to school u as a big
“Tomorrow we playing Minnesota, I’m getting 40”
Jesus, my man SHAQ was wired different in his prime...it was BBQ Chicken for him during the early 2000’s
Jack Abah most of the 90s aswell
I read that as disrespect for KAT. Maybe he just randomly chose Minnesota, but Embiid and KAT have a thing going.
@@lemongavine I don't think it was disrespect, Shaq is saying he wants Embiid to go at all-star matchups to prove his dominance, the same way Lebron got up for Kobe, he wants Embiid to have that same fire.
shaq could drop 35 too but he let kobe also score a lot. kobe+shaq were tremendous.

The best criticism is constructive criticism
Absolutely
it should be the only criticism
2:38 shaq took shots at MCGEE. LOOOOOOOL.
4 🤣🤣🤣 he low key took a shot at Karl Anthony-Towns before that too
Glad someone else caught it 😂
Some people call their mommas, but not us.
Jaaaaaaavaaaaaaale Mchaaaaaageee
@@baileyhall3362 what was the shot at KAT?
I feel like over the few years, Joel has grown to become much more mature and humble. It's great to see him grow as a basketball player, but I think it's even more wonderful to see how much he has grown as a person.
Watch him troll people the next month ....
Kawhi and the raptors humbled him greatly too.
Humble and mature? Every game he makes antics like only a man child would do.
The only name he hates is "Gasol"

this aged like fine wine, embiid is absolutely balling man huge MVP push this year
His response cemented him as one of my favorite players now. It was really heart felt.
Jalen Rose and Paul George criticized Kenny's hairline. It responded.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Bwahaha!

Yo this made my day 💀💀💀

Loved this segment tonight...young great player getting knowledge from 2 legends 💯
DeMarcus Murphy let that had been kd. He would just call everyone haters
Edward Nigma 313 no lie KD to great for the critique
MoneyBandz no one is too great for that.
And kenny XD. By the end of Kenny's words joel was like thank you... Whatever your name is
This is how a grown man responds to constructive criticism 💪🏾
My god has this aged well. Dude is a walking 30 piece and should be leading the MVP conversation
Shaq: "A lot of people cry and call them mamas to try and get people fired."
Javale McGee left the group.
Hahahah I caught that too! 😂🤣😭
😂😂😂😂 real
and now, you are the MVP because you listened to your mentors. Congratulations!!
Finally someone doesn't let in to the criticism and listen as a learning experience
Barkley: Keep it going man
Embiid : I really listen to you and Shaq..
Kenny: * inserts advice *
Embiid's mind : I said I listen to Barkley and Shaq..
LOL
2:38 Shaq with the sly jab to Javale McGee😂😂😂
As a fan.. this is an all-time segment. I hope to see more of this from Embiid in the future
A lot of people would label “criticism” as hate. I respect Joel for what he did tonight 💯.
Yeah sensitive .
I mean sometimes media just makes it that way, look at the clowns on espn
Joel is African, so he probably takes it in a different way.
@@hassanshahid2279 ESPN is trash!
That's the problem with people today: no one wants to be held accountable. They're quick to criticize things, but call people haters if they're being criticized. Everyone is so sensitive. I'm glad Embiid took it well.
I can’t take Kenny serious with that haircut
Dude he looked like he's animated.
@@DruMUSIC06 thought it was bad CGI
Only a shadow from not shaving proper
JOEL Embiid!! This Guy is a real one. Not sensitive like some of these weak NBA players today. Great Game.
Donte Gist you can’t judge a mans character off of this video alone bruh😂😂 didn’t you see the KAT Instagram antics
He was the MVP of our NBA Championship on Nba2k20 playing on Hall of Fame
Kenny freaking me out with that hairline bruh...
Why did he go bald if his hairline isnt even bad
@@getbuckets5718 its cuz he doesnt have a hairline he did what doc river did some treatment lol..
r u sure its not just bad lighting?
Look up microscalp pigmentations
Maybe it's the beginning of his grow back treatment, in a few months he will be looking like Jalen Rose lol
joel finally ate some humble pie and listened to the HOFs who have been there.
You sound like a professional idiot. Is this his first 30 point plus game?
Revisiting this after it was just announced he won MVP. One of the most special things in sports is watching these athletes grow as professionals and people. Joel has had the right attitude and kept working for years and it has paid off and he has achieved greatness.
fraud
This man is the real deal listen his older blood and back on the court make them proud 🐐
This is African home training, ain't no babying in African households.

Joel is nice guy. I was critical of him but he proved me wrong. nice going and claps for Chuckster and Diesel too as they guided him to a right path.
This is beautiful and humbling to watch at the same time. Salute to all parties here, especially Embiid.
Who’s here after the Sixers got the one seed and embiid is the runner up for MVP race
This young man has shown huge character! He makes me want to become a fan of him
"It's a process" not only with the team, but the journey of who he is as a player and a person. In a day of huge EGO'S that was good stuff. He didn't use it to hate, he used it to motivate.
This game changed Embiid’s career forever. I am rewatching this video the day he won the 2023 MVP and I have nothing but respect for this man. Greetings from Mexico.
Love that Joel takes criticisms by heart and use it to be better each and every game. Philly has a lot of potential to take it all this season, Joel and Ben just needs to take their game to the next level and I think listening to the greats who have done it all and won it all is a great step to be better
I love it and we need our OG's to talk to us like this.
Wow, what an absolutely goated video. From watching him get drafted, to missing those first couple of years due to injuries and seeing where he is now as the front-runner for League MVP in 2022. He’s had such an amazing journey. I wish you all the best Joel Embiid.
More rookies need to eat humble pie & listen to the constructive criticism OG's & especially successful OG's, share with them. Nobody knows more about what it takes to be the greatest & get to the top, than fellow athletes who've done it at the highest level. If Embiid plays like this for the rest of the season, it's a wrap for the Eastern Conference.
Stilez 😂😂 bucks in 4
This response to Shaq and Chuck really changed my views on Embiid. Hes stepping up the plate and isnt taking it personal, rather, using it to fuel him to be a better player. Gotta commend him, keep it up man.
Authentic Personality 💯🔥🔥
Didn't miss that low-key diss on Javale 😂😂
This is dope. OG’s actually giving advice & not hating.
i love that Embiid took their comments to heart and didn't cry about it.
What a dude!!! Love this scene. A great example of humbleness

A lot of respect for how they genuinely care about Embiid’s success and how Embiid didn’t get sensitive, but instead accepted the challenge to be greater. That man got heart!
2:41 REALNESS
Africans listen and respect their elders.
Indeed it's in the culture that's why there's hierarchy and balance in African societies.
Erick Socgfack i dont fully know about that chief. But elder respect and ancestor veneration is common there for sure and its a good trend.
@@LyftraS sometimes, it's better to keep quiet, proving that you're a smart individual; specially when the point you're trying to make is weak.

Classy response from Embiid. He was modest humble and respectful and went out there to proof himself.
Real good interview!!!
He’s killing it now !
Shaq and Chuck compliment Joel loud and clear
But Kenny is like the hurricane is more direct than his words
I'm now a fan big man! I wasn't before, but the way he listen and took that advice! Run big man, run!
