Jamie! Buy the CT bronzer in Tan, I had medium and then I bought Tan! It makes the world of difference super pigmented you need the smallest amount and the colour looks so good with a tan 😻
I admit, I feel like it's a no brainer that if one shade is not enough no matter how much you build it.... you get a deeper shade..I think beside these being a massive lot of product, and now refills are available for the beautiful packages I would say they are worth the hype and the price.

For those who the Laneige lip mask didn’t work for, I suggest giving the following a try: Summer Friday’s Lip Butter Balm. It’s thicker and pretty much stays on my lips all night and for me it really heals and replenishes my lips where the majority of other lip “conditioning” or “moisturizing” products just don’t cut it for me. Of course, everyone’s experience with ingredients can differ but the summer Fridays lip butter is what I expected the laneige to be. It’s pricey but it’s lasting me SO long and I love it. Definitely a “luxury” item for me. ⚠️ WARNING though the packaging for the summer fridays balm can REALLY waste a lot of product which sucks (even though I find it so aesthetically pleasing). I barely apply any pressure to the tube or else it will ooze out with no way to stop it. Very pleasant and soft vanilla sent (to me). I also LOVE the Hanalei lip treatment (which I never hear anything about, but I first got a mini size from ipsy a few years ago and have repurchased ever since). I get it on amazon. I find it similar to the summer Friday’s lip butter in terms of texture and effect, but less expensive (around $15) and better packaging (functionality wise). Also comes in some different color options which give me really good color payoff and acts as a dual product. Pink mauve is my fave. Also comes in clear. These are my go to’s all year when my lips are dry and cracked and in need of serious moisture and healing. I also apply them at the beginning of my makeup routine to prep for any lip product I might use. HGs Both of these are also thicker than the laneige so if that’s not your thing I wouldn’t bother. I feel like the smell of the Bum Bum cream is a very love it or hate it thing! Personally I love it, but their other scent (in the teal tub) I really don't like. I do find it's a really good cream overall though - very moisturizing and non-sticky.
The other scent is SUCH a no go for me. I slathered it on for the first and only time, took a deep breath, and then ran to the shower to wash it off lol
You are so stunning! When I first smelled the Bum Bum Cream, I fell in love with it and even bought the jumbo version during the Sephora sale. Upon actually using it more, I felt that the fragrance changes when you use it (which makes sense) but it became so overpowering that I got sick it of really quickly and now am struggling to use it up! I think the scent would be much better as a candle haha.

It’s most just for a super long wearing and sweat proof base tut, but some fun eye makeup and a funky lip would also be a nice addition!

I felt the same way about the bum bum cream! I mixed it with the body shops almond milk body cream, the really thin one I believe they call it a yogurt, and it was incredible. It really toned down the scent while keeping the nice sweetness to it. I happened to have both at the same time, but I've def considered buying bum bum cream again to have the combo

drugstore sheer lipsticks are HITTING these days - loreal colour riche shine, maybelline shine compulsion, revlon super lustrous glass shine are all great and I've heard people say they are very similar
there are def a ton out there that are very similar! with sheer formulas, it's hard to make something thats super different, you know? the loreal shine lipsticks are pretty close
Totally agree with your take on the bum bum fragrance! I think if I’d known what to expect *maybe* I wouldn’t have been so put off by it, but beauty influencers always describe it as “smelling like summer” so I expected sunscreen/coconut/saltiness, but got marshmallows instead.
Omg yes!! I was disappointed by the new CT bronzer too. The Filmstar bronze and glow bronzer is soooo much better. That one as a single (without the highlighter) in more shades would be 🙌🏼
About the CT bronzer, I agree that it is very sheer, so the way to make it work is to go one shade darker. I'm around your skin tone and got the shade n.3 (Tan I think) and trust me it's perfect: not too yellow but still warm enough to bronze the face without looking muddy. Also since it has the texture of the pressed powder it never looks cakey, and also the darker shade allows you to use less of it.
I want to try out the Fenty lipstick, Laneige mask, and Slip hair ties now! I love the scent of the bum bum cream and went through my last one fast but haven't quite repurchased yet. Have to finish other body creams I still have. I love the Ouai wave spray- works for my naturally wavy hair and love the smell of it!

Here for the Dyson Airwrap review! The attachments are cool and all but I think I would get the product just because it doesn't cause as much damage as other tools. I had the revlon one step styler and it burnt my hair so badly that I had to return and cut my hair as well.
Jamie try the Charlotte tilbury in the tan color ! It gives me so much pigment and gives me a sun kissed/ sun burned look and I love it ! The lighter shades didn’t do it for me either
LOL I love the scent of the Bum Bum cream so much that I went to their site and purchased the perfume, the hand lotion, the sunscreen oil, and the body wash! Haha! It’s funny how polarizing it is. The main note is Pistachio. I just adore it! My husband wants to eat me up every time I wear it! I hate hate hate sickly sweet scents, powdery scents, heavy musk scents, and most florals......and most of the time get headaches when around most fragrances. I don’t know what it is about this Sol de Janeiro, but it is heaven for me.....and no headaches! PS: the Fenty Lip Slips are the best lipstick balms of all time!
i love the anastasia brow wiz. it’s probably my favorite makeup product ever. sometimes the spoolie comes off but the pencil has never fallen out and i’ve repurchased it so many times
“A coconut throwing up creme brûlée” is the PERFECT description of the bum bum cream! It’s a good moisturizer but nothing magical. I too do not understand the hype and obsession with that scent.

I’m so glad you said that about the Bum Bum cream, because I thought it was going to smell like sunscreen + orange juice + sea salt! (I’ve never smelled it lol) So I’m glad I’m aware I might not like it like I thought!
I think I have maybe five of those lip mask pots in different places. One on my nightstand, one with my makeup, one on my desk, one in my backpack, and one in my purse lol. I have chronically dry lips because of medications that I take for a chronic pain disorder and it's the only thing that has ever helped.

Hey Jamie, I am so glad that you mentioned the CT bronzer! I have the same feelings, it does not show up on my skin and it actually applies quite patchy. It is too smooth for its own good. I am really trying to make it work, I have been trying different brushes and applying cream bronzer underneath, but so far, yeah, not a fan..
i know some are commenting that yea the scent is so strong. i don't mind it personally but they're out of their mind if I'm paying that much for a body cream. No sir. Hype don't pay my bills.
This wss a great video ! Have you tried the Sol Janeiro Coco cabana cream? I like it better than the Bum Bum cream It smells amazing & sinks right into your skin.
I actually looove the Briogeo Scalp Revival Shampoo. Maybe the exfoliating beads don't feel as satisfying as other products, but I was suffering from pretty bad dandruff for over a year and the Scalp Revival Shampoo completely got rid of it! :)
I do that with the fair shade at the moment, it’s my slightly tanned pale shade, when I go back to white in the winter I think fair will be a great bronzer shade
I think what you'll see about the BumBum cream is that a lot of the people who got into it and went nuts weren't people who generally need a ton of moisturizing for their body. One thing I will say is that as someone prone to breakouts, it doesn't break me out which is a huge plus. It also have a very tropical sunscreen kind of smell. Like, growing up we had sunscreen that smelled like coconuts and mixed drinks and that's what this smells like. If you like how the PF Butter Bronzer smells, you'll love this. If you don't, you'll hate it. I will say, its good for someone who *wants* to apply body lotion but doesn't necessarily need the hydration. It's good for oilier or younger skin.
I FELT THE EXACT SAME WAY ABOUT THE BUM BUM CREAM! I wanted to love it but I couldn't even finish my sample size because the scent was so offensive to me. Glad I'm not alone!

I agree regarding the ABH Brow Wiz, I used it for years then found the same thing to be true, less expensive brands are doing brow products so well, like Covergirl and Colourpop. Charlotte Tilbury eye shadows are worth the $$$ for me because they make my mature lids look so good and are so easy to apply, however everything else is overpriced.
So, I watched tons of reviews of the CT Bronzer, so when I bought it, I bought a shade that could (& should) have been terribly dark on me. I am a pretty fair skinned human (Like- In the lightest 4-5 shades of foundation almost always)... but, I bought the "tan" shade of the CT bronzer and love it. If I had gotten the ones that were recommended for me, you are so right, it would've taken 15 layers to show up! Crazy how weird that bronzer is. I love mine... but it is so weird.
The Sephora Lipstories balms are such a great dupe for the Fenty ones! And they're only$9! Plus, since we're wearing masks everywhere, I'm not spending $22 on a sheer lip product 😂 bc very, VERY FEW ppl are actually seeing it.

Ahhh I LOVE the smell of the bum bum. In my opinion it’s more of a warm, sweet, delicious smell. I only use it when I’m showing my arms/ legs when going out because there is a beautiful sheen when the sun hits. I also have the unfragranced version and the texture is phenomenal with no smell!

About the CT bronzer, I agree that it is very sheer, so the way to make it work is to go one shade darker. I'm around your skin tone and got the shade n.3 (Tan I think) and trust me it's perfect: not too yellow but still warm enough to bronze the face without looking muddy. Also since it has the texture of the pressed powder it never looks cakey, and also the darker shade allows you to use less of it.
I want to try out the Fenty lipstick, Laneige mask, and Slip hair ties now! I love the scent of the bum bum cream and went through my last one fast but haven't quite repurchased yet. Have to finish other body creams I still have. I love the Ouai wave spray- works for my naturally wavy hair and love the smell of it!
Came here for the Bum Bum cream opinion! I’ve never tried it but have been super tempted. It’s hard to drop that much money on body lotion. I LOVE Hempz lotions. They have a more “mature” scent. The Body Shop has nice products, too! Thank you for your honest opinion! Love your videos.

I agree with you on the slip hair ties. I picked up a pack at Sephora recently and have been obsessed ever since. I have super curly hair that tangles easily and before bed I like to put my hair up loosely with a slip hair tie. Definitely worth the hype. New subscriber here, fellow Canadian, love your channel

You are so on point with every makeup product you spoke about. I cracked up when you mentioned the scent of the bum bum cream. That is the most sickening sweet scent and I almost gagged the first time I smelled it. I went in hard because of all the hype and regretted it fast LOL
Here for the Dyson Airwrap review! The attachments are cool and all but I think I would get the product just because it doesn't cause as much damage as other tools. I had the revlon one step styler and it burnt my hair so badly that I had to return and cut my hair as well.
Jamie try the Charlotte tilbury in the tan color ! It gives me so much pigment and gives me a sun kissed/ sun burned look and I love it ! The lighter shades didn’t do it for me either

LOL I love the scent of the Bum Bum cream so much that I went to their site and purchased the perfume, the hand lotion, the sunscreen oil, and the body wash! Haha! It’s funny how polarizing it is. The main note is Pistachio. I just adore it! My husband wants to eat me up every time I wear it! I hate hate hate sickly sweet scents, powdery scents, heavy musk scents, and most florals......and most of the time get headaches when around most fragrances. I don’t know what it is about this Sol de Janeiro, but it is heaven for me.....and no headaches! PS: the Fenty Lip Slips are the best lipstick balms of all time!
i love the anastasia brow wiz. it’s probably my favorite makeup product ever. sometimes the spoolie comes off but the pencil has never fallen out and i’ve repurchased it so many times

“A coconut throwing up creme brûlée” is the PERFECT description of the bum bum cream! It’s a good moisturizer but nothing magical. I too do not understand the hype and obsession with that scent.

I’m so glad you said that about the Bum Bum cream, because I thought it was going to smell like sunscreen + orange juice + sea salt! (I’ve never smelled it lol) So I’m glad I’m aware I might not like it like I thought!
I mix the Estée Lauder double wear with the It cosmetics CC cream and ERMAGAD. Best combo ever!
The Laneige lip mask in Grapefruit is my holy grail - love it.
I think I have maybe five of those lip mask pots in different places. One on my nightstand, one with my makeup, one on my desk, one in my backpack, and one in my purse lol. I have chronically dry lips because of medications that I take for a chronic pain disorder and it's the only thing that has ever helped.

I know what you mean about the CT bronzer, but as a very fair person, shade 1 is perfect for me without having to build it up-it looks realistic since everyone who knows me knows I can’t get a tan. But I agree about bum bum-gag!
Hey Jamie, I am so glad that you mentioned the CT bronzer! I have the same feelings, it does not show up on my skin and it actually applies quite patchy. It is too smooth for its own good. I am really trying to make it work, I have been trying different brushes and applying cream bronzer underneath, but so far, yeah, not a fan..

I actually looove the Briogeo Scalp Revival Shampoo. Maybe the exfoliating beads don't feel as satisfying as other products, but I was suffering from pretty bad dandruff for over a year and the Scalp Revival Shampoo completely got rid of it! :)
I wonder if I could use the CT airbrush bronzer in place of the setting powder because you do end up with more product for a better price. 🤔

I do that with the fair shade at the moment, it’s my slightly tanned pale shade, when I go back to white in the winter I think fair will be a great bronzer shade

I think what you'll see about the BumBum cream is that a lot of the people who got into it and went nuts weren't people who generally need a ton of moisturizing for their body. One thing I will say is that as someone prone to breakouts, it doesn't break me out which is a huge plus. It also have a very tropical sunscreen kind of smell. Like, growing up we had sunscreen that smelled like coconuts and mixed drinks and that's what this smells like. If you like how the PF Butter Bronzer smells, you'll love this. If you don't, you'll hate it. I will say, its good for someone who *wants* to apply body lotion but doesn't necessarily need the hydration. It's good for oilier or younger skin.
I FELT THE EXACT SAME WAY ABOUT THE BUM BUM CREAM! I wanted to love it but I couldn't even finish my sample size because the scent was so offensive to me. Glad I'm not alone!

I agree regarding the ABH Brow Wiz, I used it for years then found the same thing to be true, less expensive brands are doing brow products so well, like Covergirl and Colourpop. Charlotte Tilbury eye shadows are worth the $$$ for me because they make my mature lids look so good and are so easy to apply, however everything else is overpriced.
So, I watched tons of reviews of the CT Bronzer, so when I bought it, I bought a shade that could (& should) have been terribly dark on me. I am a pretty fair skinned human (Like- In the lightest 4-5 shades of foundation almost always)... but, I bought the "tan" shade of the CT bronzer and love it. If I had gotten the ones that were recommended for me, you are so right, it would've taken 15 layers to show up! Crazy how weird that bronzer is. I love mine... but it is so weird.
hmmmm maybe i need to get the other shade - but since i already have two, i feel like it's too little too late for the CT bronzer for me hahaha

The Sephora Lipstories balms are such a great dupe for the Fenty ones! And they're only$9! Plus, since we're wearing masks everywhere, I'm not spending $22 on a sheer lip product 😂 bc very, VERY FEW ppl are actually seeing it.

Ahhh I LOVE the smell of the bum bum. In my opinion it’s more of a warm, sweet, delicious smell. I only use it when I’m showing my arms/ legs when going out because there is a beautiful sheen when the sun hits. I also have the unfragranced version and the texture is phenomenal with no smell!
