    One of the best waves I've seen break ever. Incredible, length of ride, pace of wave, size of swell. Like cartoon. Wild.

    As you can see, you need a swell from the Southwest (New Zealand) in order to make the wave. There was a swell twice this size back around 2009 from the Southwest, and you could take off near MacGregor Point. There is a DVD you can get of that event, and it is spectacular.

    How many hours per day and how many days per year does it look like this?

    • @hocuznomakeladat4974
      @hocuznomakeladat4974  Год назад

      Maybe once every 10 years…. You’ve got a few days here and there where it gets about 3/4 ft but that’s not the true maalaea

    Why is the water so murky?

    • @hocuznomakeladat4974
      @hocuznomakeladat4974  Год назад +1

      This break wakes up every 10 years or so… runoff from the mountains during rain creates this layer of debris over the reef! When it gets rough, it churns up that layer of crap in which creates the “murky” water

    It would be a lot more fun without 200 more out. All talking surfboard design. Oh... More drones. More cameras, more claims! Ahhh...ooh.
