@El Hopper so you can raise a flag even before Shy Guy does it? and if by chance it's actually the correct flag you will be okay? I never knew that and I'm not sure you could do that in the original N64 Mario Party... and can someone explain me how does that trick work exactly? not sure if it's a legal mind game or Luigi was just cheating/hacking the game there, or maybe a bug....?
@@vados8500 no it's true. If you raise your flag and he's still in his animation, if he ends up on the one you put up you still get credit for the round. I doubt it's a bug, as I have found a lot of this game to be pure dumb luck lol

Yeah... Don't people get tired of playing the same minigames over and over with total randos that change every round? I dunno, I always thought the fun of Mario Party games was playing a full game with actual friends.
Yeah, the strategy and the risk/reward makes it much more compelling. Plus there's a goal.
This mode has zero risk other than losing a run that you can promptly start again with no goal. And enough of the games are whack after a couple plays. You wouldn't play most of these games more than twice if they weren't packaged within the whole Mario party theme and the other good stuff. Oh wait, it's like SMM2 endless.

Personally I find board games more interesting to watch bc you keep playing with the same people throughout that game and you can sorta start to bond and feel how they feel by how they play, like that Luigi being on point with stickers and you swapping places twice with him in clutch moments! That shit was tight
The perfect combination would be a Mario Party and a Mario Kart video per week.

There are several mini games (like Bill Blasters and Mush Pit) where if no one does anything, all players win. The times when the players realize this and spin in endless circles until the timer runs out is both hilarious and awesome😂
Honestly between board and this, board is so probably a bit more entertaining, but both are very fun to watch.

I was playing this game yesterday. Woody woods. On the previous turn I had bought a golden pipe. It gets to my next roll. I have a triple dice and I am within a reasonable amount of the star to use it. So i go for it. I use the triple block, get a good number traverse to the star. Once I have the star, it moves back. But it only goes a little bit behind where it was. So I kept moving on my roll, and got a second one on the same turn. Then the next turn I used my golden pipe. 2 turns, 3 stars. It was nuts. I wish i had video. Also... Boards!

That final loss honestly looked like lag. I don't think there was enough to even respond.
The level 99 cap is way too low though. If you just play this mini-game mode and are decent at it, you'll reach it in 2-3 or so hours.

I’ve seen people saying on Reddit and other outlets that they don’t like the game because there aren’t all the extra gimmicks. Honestly, those gimmicks are what turned me away from the series. THIS is the Mario Party I’ve been waiting for. Stars actually count. No more getting 20 stars in one round, which diminished the meaning of them to me. You have to strategize and work for them. And the mini games are just…awesome! This is a return to home.
This is more fun to watch than I expected. This or boards, just keep playing this game!

I like the boards. Maybe you can edit them a bit tighter. I know you don't really do voiceover in the edit, but I can see that as a possibility, like just play their moves on 3-4x speed and do a voiceover to summarize what happened. "Peach rolled 8, bought a star and went to steal some coins. Mario rolled 6 paid the toll to the thwomp and reversed the star location, lucky for peach. I rolled..."

I think mathematically you lower your win chance by disqualifying other players in the mushroom game.
The reason is that the less players are left, the more likely the shroomed player will charge toward you. And it since every survivor wins, you don´t have to finish anyone.
PLEASE DO THE BOARDS. Do a video for each board in order of difficulty since you started on Yoshi's. Those videos are the best

I prefer the board game by about 15% more but I like the mini-games as well. I wouldn't mind if you mixed it up between the two. I think going for PBs in the minigames would make for a good series.

Hey Ryu, there are bots in the game so you dont have to wait too long for a game. So when you get the same person twice or 3 times in a row with a generic name, it's a bot. Loving this series tho, one of my favorites.

I love Ticktock Hop, it's one of my favorite minigames! I remember when I played MP3, I would choose 2 controller and play this to see how fast the pointer could go!
And it makes me happy that this game is fully translated/dubbed in my language, about time Nintendo! 😄

I prefer the boards, the minigames are fun, but boards make the experience feel more intense and engaging.
