- I am going to take it upon myself to rate the massively dismissed game titled" One Piece: World Seeker". A game that not only has an original plot, but an open world chalked filled with Cameos and easter eggs. What better way to do this than to go for the Platinum Trophy of One Piece World Seeker, i get to try out Luffy Gear 4 Bounce man and more. Sadly this game came out before Gear 5, but it should still be an interesting playthrough
I really don’t get the hate on this game I personally loved it. Great graphics, decent storyline, satisfying transportation, ok combat system, and a very nice skill tree. Also here before you blow up surprisingly. You deserve at least double the subs you currently have.
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you to say. I agree with those criticisms, combat system had potential to be so much crazier. Transportation was an essential feature i feel like they got really well. Honestly if they made a second version of this game where they expanded on EVERYTHING it would be insane. The core is there though.
to me the combat is better when i use observation on extreme difficultyc
What about the empty world? The combat is awful at the end of the game I just have to spam Jet Pistol and win every fight

I salute you for platinuming this game. I couldn't stand playing it and dropped it before getting all the crew together. It feels so wonky, unresponsive, and sluggish. I wanna play One Piece, not Fortnite. Why tf is the best way to deal damage aiming down sights and hitting their head? World Seeker feels like it was built to look pretty and not much else. The combat is same-y and doesn't allow for any kind of creativity. I quit pretty early on so I don't know what the skill tree could have offered, but probably not much to change up the fights. Enemies go from dumb as rocks and blind as bats to aimbots that haunt PvP lobbies.
You’re right it didn’t offer variety. These inputs of yours are pretty accurate to the game you seem to have gotten a good handle on what the game was pretty early on lol. For a bunch of people the features that jt had were enough for them playing screenshot luffy and exploring was enough. I think it could have been significantly better with more love into the game

My only problem was how slow luffy w is when he’s doing combos and it’s time to dodge. I’ve heard that changed a little with the DLC.

Honestly, a rpg kinda like eyuden chronicle where you play a new crew set lose on the world and have to do gestion gameplay of your ship money and ressources while travelling and picking the crewmates you recruit then doing sort of 6v6 turn based rpg battle in a sort of alternative one piece world without the stawhats or something, that could be one of the best games ever
But instead we just get games that do give some good fanservice but don't scratch a tenth of that univers potential

I beat the game and its DLCs last year. I remember my expectations being low because many people said the game was trash. But I was impressed after playing it. No where near perfect of course, but I'm personally a sucker for original stories. I thought the prison designs were cool, especially the underwater one. Thanks for giving the game a chance. Also, the DLCs are definitely worth playing.
I intend to get the DLC's and maybe even try them out on the channel in the future, if i were to ever start making money off of the videos, i can pur it all back into the channel

No way people hated this game! I had no idea! I loved it from beginning to end. A bit grindy to platinum, but I had fun doing it. Gameplay was super fun!
I had a great time myself, could have had more detailed fighting but overall a good time!
It just had super generic missions and bland world design. I really want them to expand on this formula in the future.

I think by the time I finished the game I only needed like 3 trophies, the open treasure, the flying around for 30 seconds and 100% completion. Running the sides mission from the beginning speeds up things a lot, also makes the game more enjoyable, I personally liked it overall

They borrowed spider-man web zipping, made their own open world, there is basically shooting because 'Gum Gum Pistol' and added One Piece into the mix, that sounds like a good game, right?

I got the platinum trophy for this and honestly enjoyed the game a bunch. Not the best OP game (Unlimited Adventure, my beloved 🥺) but for what it's worth the game does have the making of a solid base for future games to where they could build upon it and refine things.
I did get the season pass for the DLC and finished the campaign for Zoro, but only got to play a bit of the one for Sabo and I haven't had a chance to do the Law DLC yet but I'll get to it eventually.

I hope one day someone makes a one piece game where you can customize your own character, your own devil fruit, missions, boss battles, and a good storyline

Unless you learn to program and recreate the game yourself you aren't making your own devil fruit. Our best hope is the developers creating like 5 or more unique devil Fruit abilities for your character. Or being able to train your haki and stay devil fruitless with a choice of different fighting styles to choose from. A customizable character, create your own jolly roger, a ship builder, and a ton of original and OG OP character's you can possibly get to join your crew. Or the other possibility is the option to be a marine and work your way up the ranks and you get to assign other marines to your squadron. Of course I would like it to be a story where your actions matter, and marines shouldn't be considered good or bad. The option to be a good or evil marine is something that would take the game next level. A 3rd option could be joining the revolutionaries but I feel like that would be a little to close to just being a pirate. Obviously the piece of resistance would be being able to explore open world versions of the famous islands of one piece. But that would be way to massive to be feasible unless a real game studio was working on it. Japanese studios male fantastic games but open world rpgs don't seem to be that popular there so that's a pretty hard sell from the jump. But a man can dream
That will never happen because studios are afraid to branch off from the typical anime fighting game because of the negative feedback from this game. People should of been happy the game was different. If they just did the combat a little different this game would be amazing.

Yea, i wish i knew that at the time. I wasn't familiar with the perfect dodge and block system mechanics very early on lol, that's why i suffered from Kizaru alot lol
I remember I played this game because I got it for free as a christmas gift then when I finished it I decided to look up some reviews and I was astonished by how low they were. The story was written by Oda himself and I thought the combat was well designed. at least 6.5/10 imo probably higher

Yea, i agree. What pirate warriors does though is give a little more accurate feel of the power of each One Piece characters, especially when you play as an emperor of the sea and jus destroy everybody
I personally love this game from the art, the story, and the freedom of exploration it gives you. If you could dish out combos like you can in pw4 itd be a 10 for me. If you ever decide to go back to this one I recommend getting the dlc with karoo who is without a doubt the best addition to this game, the song that plays while riding him is great and he allows you to scale walls for some reason so getting around is wayyyyyy quicker. There's also a hidden Katakuri fight in the city (might be dlc, I dont remember) and kizaru is skulking around inside the prison at all times so you could always fight him there again with a harder difficulty. Great vid, hope to see more.

Chapter 1: You begin in one of the three unused Blues (North, South, and West), your choice determines your starting crew and class choices. Your starting crew is one character unique to that Blue, as well as another that turns up later in the Grand Line for players that start in the other Blues. Each Blue has a unique 'prologue' story that sets your journey in motion and assigns several long and short term goals, like 'Free your father from Marine capture' or 'learn more about a special type of Poneglyph.' Your companions will also have their own long term dreams, like, 'acquire plans for a ship cannon that can sink any other ship in one shot' or 'defeat the head of a major crime family.'
Chapter 2: you and your crew head up Reverse Mountain and past Crocus, to discover you're hot on Luffy's heels. The Straw Hats will make cameos in between the canon events, but will never be a major enemy or ally until the end. Depending on your personal dreams, you may square off against Zoro or Luffy once, however. Chapter 2 also sees the development of your main plot: Your father was meant for Impel Down but suddenly was sent to Enies Lobby at the last second for some reason, or the special Poneglyph is written in a different language than the others and you need a way to translate it. You also meet both of the other 'starter' characters from the Blues on their personal journey alone, and one joins you while the other becomes an enemy.
Chapter 2.5: you take on your unique crew mate's personal story, culminating in a massive upgrade to their abilities. This is specific to each.
Chapter 3: You head deeper into the Grand Line, and there's another unique story split based on your starting Blue. You try to intercept the Sea Train as it takes your father to Enies Lobby, or raid a Marine base for forbidden books on language and history. You also meet even more potential crew that join up or are made into enemies, depending on your demeanor and choices. You cannot recruit them all!
Chapter 4 is the breaking point: you're put in a situation where the crew has your main goal in sight, but things went awry: your father wanted nothing to do with you and was actually working with your enemies, or the book of languages was incomplete. In addition, your crew have their own goals they wish to accomplish. If you go for their ideas first, you could lose out on the rest of what you need, but theyll be happier, while going for your own goals will invert the scenario. Regardless of what you pick, you are separated by an admiral or rear admiral, who breaks your ship and sets the crew adrift or captured. You wash up on an island and have to re-collect your crew, with the help of another new friend, and get stronger along the way for the rematch! The final crewmate is trapped on a ship headed for judgement, so at the end you assault the judicial ship and free them. Luckily, they found out crucial information regarding their dreams while captive, and promise to follow you faithfully because they feel like their insistence on their own dreams first is what helped split the crew. However, if you've treated them poorly, they leave you and become the under-boss of the enemy crew. This sets you on a more sinister and selfish path.

I actually also love One Piece Unlimited World Red, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 and One Piece Odyssey as well, even though I wouldn’t give any of these a 9 or 10… they’re all hovering around 7 or 8/10 for me…
But they’re fun to play, they look decent, they’re interactive One Piece adventures, which is a huge plus already, but yeah… ✌️😁

I don't get those who LIKE this game. It is an unoptimized mess, the combat is janky and not fun. How have we reached this level of low standards? Game looks amazing but it is NOT a good game. It is unacceptable to release a game in this state and should not be normalized.

The ONLY complaint I had with this game was that I couldn't play as more characters, and when I did, the world felt more limited, and the skill trees not as fleshed out.
The skill tree definitely needed more variety in moves. It needs smoother convos and the combo system in One Piece Pirate Warriors 4
I respect that you 100% the game, I did not like how the combat felt especially after playing burning blood and pirate warriors, so far I've only beaten the Sabo story he felt better than Luffy

I feel like one of the big reasons it did so bad is the lack of voice acting. They really thought that 2009 style of loosely including “voice acting” by having the characters say one word and then you read the rest of the dialogue was gonna work.
Woah, yeah you are totally right. I mean they had alot of cool cameos there but to not include prominent voice acting will really throw you out of the immersion of the game for sure
Even in 2009, I don't think this would have flown. If your game wasn't 100% voiced even as far back as 2001, you were seen as lesser. I still remember reviews for Grabbed by the Ghoulies docking points for not having full voice acting in the cutscenes.
That was one of the reasons. Other main reasons were Luffy as the only playable character and the game’s world is mostly dead outside of a few areas. That’s the last thing you want in a One Piece game.
