Very nice... did the Stelivio in Sept. but came up the Umbrail pass. Umbrail is also good nowadays, back in the 90's there was only gravel on parts of it.. aand.. did you miss a gear when downshifting at 10.09??
yes, Stelvio is mainly for the views. But every mountain pass in Northern Italy is worth riding. I didn't really miss the gear, instead the gear popped back. The CBs gearbox is not in the best shape any more. I've abused it thoroughly.

hab per Zufall entdeckt, dass ich mit der CB beim Kehren anbremsen schwarze Striche ziehen kann, wenn ich manuelles Anti-Hopfing betreibe. Das hat mich inspiriert, wieder mit ein bisschen mehr Gefühl einzukuppeln.

Did this in august. But IMO. Stelvio is just for the views and the bikes at the top. The road is not that fun if you compare to other passes =)

So leer habe ich das Stilfser Joch noch nie gesehen... Vielleicht muss man da doch mal im Juni hin.
das lag leider in erster Linie am Wetter. Auf der anderen Seite war Nebel und viel Regen. Da ist kaum wer hochgefahren.
Have you ever done anything or had ant problems with the rear drum brake? Do you use it while riding fast and is it any chance for overheating?
zero issues and yes I use it a lot, often ride using the rear brake only
