Yeah, you pretty much have to save up dust or be extremely lucky. They say it is a 1% chance to get a legendary in a pack, and that % goes way down if you want a specific one.
Evusy I got Velen, Captain Greenskin and King Mukla. In about 4-5 months of active ladder climbing. Granted Greenskin is really cool in a Pirate rogue deck, of which I only miss the 2 epics.
15:01, what a play :D i almost always forget the possibilty of vol'jin being able to target friendly minions. good note to keep in mind when playing priest.
I Actually love playing priest but i always miss some cards to fulfill at 100% my deck. I am missing sylvannas voljin and BGH, any tips on cards that can fill up and do as great as those? I could fill it myself but i'd like some outer opinion. Cheers
If you feel that you encounter a lot of large minions that could be killed by BGH, then I suggest Shadow Word: Death as a replacement. As for Sylvannas and Vol'Jin, I would probably put in Ysera and Ragnaros.
Mini Goat I agree with Mini Goat, SWD is a good substitute for BGH and Ysera and Ragnaros are solid legendaries all round. For something a bit closer to the cost of Sylvannas and Vol'Jin, you might consider Cairn Bloodhoof. Also a damn solid card.
Use sw:d instead bgh, loatheb instead vol'jin and you can use a mindcontrol instead of sylvanas or pretty much any high-eng legendary you have. You could also add more late-game options instead of 1 sw:d/bgh, 1 naaru and 1shadowpriest. It also works perfectly. I play boom, ysera and a mindcontrol over 6 mana.
***** I know i is difficult to cut anything from a priest deck. It's just because the card worked soawesome in that one match where hw stole it. Maybe if people manage to play around shadowmadness and cabal shadow priest better, than they do now, one of those can be cut in the future.
Priest is by far my least played class so this seems rational. I had never considered the synergy of Light of the Naaru with Auchenai Soulpriest. It's a better holy smite that summons a minion so long as the spell doesn't outright kill the target. Very cool.
Well... 27 out of the 30 cards are in 99,9% of all other priest decks... So I wouldn't really call it something "You came up with" the only additions are Shadow Madness and Holy smite. Does this directly qualify as 'anti-aggro'? This is the exactly the thing that I don't like about hearthstone. To do even somewhat well, 3/4 of your deck will always be from net-decks, leaving nothing up to the imagination (ever after GvG launch). This is my opinion, I don't really care if people don't agree...
Top net decks dont really play priest and i dont think light of naaru, smite, two thought steals and shadow madness and then circle is like an eeeeh maybe too.
You're half right. He most probably didn't get this decklist from the web, but It's basically the old priest deck with naaru and voljin. What he 'came up with' was the idea of putting this deck back into practice due to the current meta. That's not something a net deck does for you, they're usually a day or 2 late so that the creator can get to legend first ;)
27/30 of the other cards are run in average on other decks, but not always together. This reminds me of the anti-agro priest deck he ran over the summer vs hunter and zoo a lot though
I don't understand why every druid runs Shade of Naxxramus. It's like, ONLY druids, but every single one! Why? There's no synergy in their deck for it that other decks don't have.
Stephen Anderson it fits well in the druid deck, especially ramp in some cases. Druid can afford to put down a shade on turn two or three more han other classes can by dropping druids and swipes. They don't really care. You can't do that in mech mage, you need turn three to drop minions that will attack. Things like that.
Stephen Anderson its a pretty slow card for most decks, but in druid is awsome because you can afford to drop it since you have things like innnervate and wild growth, plus its a big burst of dmg if it just sits there and you use it on top of fon+sr
9 mana is way too slow for a deck like this which is primarily focused against anti-aggro, trump already talked about the curved topping at 6 mana. Ysera works in a slower control priest that has limited ways to end the game, but would also run rag, dr boom etc.
I think shadow word: pain is much better choice than holy smites(specialy when u not own vojin), same us secound SW: death instead of BGH. I use Kolento idea of not including injured blade masters. Instead u use shade of naxxramas and sec holy nova. Also u add two shrinkmeisters and u can exchange one circle on silence. silence works with pyromancer and disallow to use secrets on scientists and spawn hienas, etc.
the whole point of this deck is anti-aggro, so you replace the injured BM for shade? That slows the whole deck down. also, most of the time holy smite is exactly what he needs as he will be killing low health creatures.
I was mainly saying that his draws were fantastic for the situations he was in, I mainly play magic and I call that topdecking but I think in HS it is called RNG.
I don't know if it's just me but my Mech mage deck has a really hard time with Druid decks. half half with warlocks and hunter.. and just dies to warrior and paladin
shadowform with priest, the mana cost should be majorly reduced to make the card even worth it. i mean... lol come on How many people actually use Shadowform in constructed? Trump even believes it's a bad card when Soulpriest pretty much is a limited time Shadowform e.e makes me sad.
havocgr1976 yes but that means you cna make a COMPLETELY different type of priest deck :D you can pretty much be like.. a more interesting type of Mage but doing 2-3 damage for 2 mana! So much value for a control or rush deck, i would make a very... Thief like Control deck. i heard stuff about Blizzard giving each class a list of new hero powers to select from after you unlock it. maybe we'll see an uprising in Shadowpriest when that happens. But we still need the two Hero classes that are missing :P Our monk and DK before blizzard even does that. So here's hoping one day shadow priest will be a thing.
Flora the thing is if you make your deck synergize with shadowflame, what happens when you don't draw it? You are just a bad priest playing cards that don't work with your hero power.
Shadow Priest was a thing when Hearthstone was in Closed Beta but whenever you add more cards to a card game the meta shifts with it. A lot of decks are either Mech because of GvG or some form of Druid. I myself run an Aggro Mech Shaman with Mech synergy and very few non-Mech cards. The advantages of Soulpreist is that yes you can deal damage with it but its also a minion on the board and if the meta calls for it you need minions on the board. A lot of the preist synergy comes from healing and that's why Shadowform is bad at the moment because the meta in constructed is like I have said very heavy on aggro/mech decks. Also I always run in most of my decks at least a BGH because Dr. Boom is a hugely popular card right now.
I don't really think Priest is the best choice against Mech Mage. Mech Mage has a TON of 4 attack minions which are the bane of Priest. (Piloted Shredder, Yeti, Azure Drake, Tinkertown). It's not the CRUSH them victory he wants. I generally mulligan pretty hard for the 4 attack minions vs. Priest and removal for the Northshire/Injured Blademaster. (Frostbolt, Mad Scientist, Tinkertown/Piloted Shredder). He's right about Mech Mage and Ramp/Combo Druid being all over the ladder. It does create a real problem. Both control War and Handlock are the strongest they've ever been, yet are in a weird place because of the strength of Druid and Mage. (They get rocked by them). I really think this is a result of the loss of Undertaker and agro in general. Mech Mage is really the only agro deck left that's competitive. And Combo Druid is the only wombo combo deck left. What's missing from the meta that would keep these decks honest is a strong mid range Hunter and old Miracle Rogue. Sadly, Hunter has seen so many nerfs 1) to their card draw 2) to their wombo combo 3) to their agro, that it's no longer a threat. Rogue is facing a similar fate, and for very similar reasons--lack of card draw, not fast enough in the early game--Rogue also has the problem that it takes too much face dmg to do what it does, although Rogue does fairly well against Mech Mage (if it doesn't take too much face dmg clearing the early stuff). The problem is midrange decks are largely dead. Blizzard gave Control decks a TON of ways to combat agro, making Control much stronger and quicker to react. With the Undertaker nerf, Blizz has pretty much eliminated the threat of most agro decks, but left Control with all its faster acting tools and massive backend benefits (Even as strong as Hunter was--hit turn 6 against Priest or War, and you were dead). This means a bad start for Control doesn't get punished. It also means that the slot where midrange thrives is between turns 4 to 6 -- which is tiny. (Midrange used to be the champions of turns 4-9). P.S. Mech Mage is much stronger than any Hunter Undertaker deck was. It counters more decks. It's just not as fast or as easy a win as the Hunter decks were when those were favored. (It's also not as fast as Zoo). But it's way, way stronger against everything in a way Hunter and Zoo weren't. P.P.S. I do believe if there was a true Shadowform Priest, it would combat Mech Mage pretty hard. (A very aggressive, spell dmg Priest). There's just not enough cards to support it.
Mind control really defeats the purpose of an anti-aggro deck. Wouldn't make that swap. Probably replace them with other 5-ish cost cards like... well can't really think of anything that good. Loatheb and a Temple enforcer?
So, i have a similar deck but run Cairne in it... but everytime i play him i get the feeling hes too slow for the current meta. Am i right or is it just me?
U probably should play northshire cleric if ur the first player it usually forces the coin from him to deal with it and if its zoo the current meta then u might even get a 2/1 freebie or just make him pass all together kinda shows u dont play 2 much priest this is very effective specially against lock and druid because of the fear u might buff it out of killing range and start drawing cards very early
it is not a turn one play. Occasional exception when you have power word shield, or when you know you're facing something stupid like a mill deck. Generally, there need to actually be minions to heal before playing cleric is the right move.
I think it is critical if you are a rush deck. I guess he couldn't know for sure if it was zoo or handlock though, but I don't know if that is a reason for not keeping it in mulligan.
Fair point, the turn 1 northshire is pretty good against something like mech mage rush or shaman, maybe other priests... But most of the time it isn't going to hurt your opponent to wait until they have 3 damage to deal with your 1 attack minion. Especially in arena.
"Stylish finish" fancy way of saying "BM" lol also why no dr. boom in this deck? Is he not good enough to warrant in this deck, or Is it better to keep your curve at a max of 6
It's the only thing that would get BGHed and it looks like seven mana would be a bit much for what he's trying to do with this deck. Aside from that, Dr. Boom doesn't do anything on that turn, like cabal, so some times an agro can just ignore Dr. Boom with a good board and hit you for fifteen, then you could be really screwed.
lol in the first game after the druid played Dr.Balance. Why din't trump at first shadowmadness the boombot -> run it into the shade -> see what happens with the bombs -> pw accordinly -> then first run cultist indto dr. boom and then the blademaster leavers him with a blademaster with good health and the opponent with a boombot depending on rng even way better (boombot hits dr. boom for 4), but not much worse (boombot hits boombot which hits cultist for 4 the chance of that happenings is also way lower the the first possibility) this line of play seems way better then trumps...
Trump. The bottom left corner or your right hand (when palm is facing you) is definitely red. Probably from using a mouse all day long on a hard surface. Protect that shit, It's your career! Use a comfy mouse pad!
I think I'd take Trump's remaining board state and not risk it over that play though. The chances of the bombs killing the Blademaster aren't -that- low really.
Am I the only one who thinks Bloodmage Thalnos should be mandatory in almost all decks with an AoE? The first Druid game, Bloodmage + Swipe would've been glorious.
I my opnion that legendry sucks its basicly azure drake for 2 mana. I don't see y people would craft him as first legendary. I like my legendary to be big bad like regnoros or king krush
shuvo rahman I never really said that it should be a first craft, that should be saved for the likes of Ragnaros, Tirion, etc. What makes Bloodmage so special is that you can usually play him on the same turn you cast your spell, which can be a pretty big deal for some boards, such as the one I mentioned in my comment. Then after he's done with that he gives you a card, which is fantastic, since you can keep up momentum. He's not flashy, but he is definitely one of the legendaries with the most utility.
shuvo rahman Besides the fact that there is only one Bloodmage Thalnos, if he was an epic that would mean each deck could run two of them, and there would be little to no reason to run either Loot Hoarder or Kobold Geomancer, since it is better than them in the only way you'd want to run either of them, and that's their effects; you sure as hell don't run them for their stats. Bloodmage is just too efficient of a card. In fact, he is so efficient of a card that I bet you if it was an epic, each late game deck with an emphasis on spells would run it because there would be a greater chance of drawing into it. Obviously, I love this card to death, he was my second legendary (after Deathwing) and even though he isn't Sylvanas or Cenarius, and for a while I lamented that fact, as a person who used to play Shaman very heavily he was a great combo with the cheap spells. And once he's done with what I wanted him to do, he draws a card for me, or eats a silence. He's a value card if there ever was one.
21:44 he doesn't attack whit the 4/6 :o
Playing around Molten Giants Kappa
Sool Deen But later he said it was a mistake =/
Sool Deen Laban6112 Oh, sorry, my english is really limited, I didn't understand what he said.
It's ok
Playing against molten giant is a thing against Warlock, not Rogue these day.
that anti-aggro pep talk was pretty epic
It seems like everybody has Dr. Boom, but me.
Same with me, never get any good legendaries.
Yeah, you pretty much have to save up dust or be extremely lucky. They say it is a 1% chance to get a legendary in a pack, and that % goes way down if you want a specific one.
I dont have it too relax, got 4 legen and all 4 are crap ones ;p
Evusy
I got Velen, Captain Greenskin and King Mukla. In about 4-5 months of active ladder climbing. Granted Greenskin is really cool in a Pirate rogue deck, of which I only miss the 2 epics.
I have 3 legendaries .. including Dr Balanced xD (other ones golden thalnos, king krush :L)
I swear the first 2 minutes of this video are the longest Trump's been that energetically excited about anything since I've been watching him.
"How dare you draw that card that I drew from your deck"
Such poetry...

15:01, what a play :D
i almost always forget the possibilty of vol'jin being able to target friendly minions. good note to keep in mind when playing priest.
great vid :)
The sexiest, sweetest Asian American I have ever seen on YT and a damn fine HS player to boot..
I Actually love playing priest but i always miss some cards to fulfill at 100% my deck. I am missing sylvannas voljin and BGH, any tips on cards that can fill up and do as great as those? I could fill it myself but i'd like some outer opinion. Cheers

***** Ofc it's rare. No aggro runs her. :P
Priest is my favorite class! So happy trump played it!
With all those imps spawning at 15:55 I was just on my ass laughing xD
trump's evil laugh at 15:57
That game against zoo was so good. Mad me smile.
Is it just me or is the 2nd game "discards all cards" shocking ? That looked like a really strong openning hand.
Awesome video man keep it up!
this deck is the new meta. Sjow climbed to like level 7 in a day with something similar the beginning of this season.
That second game was highly amusing :)
That Violett Teacher looked amazing in his deck - maybe he should have included one or two of those.
***** I know i is difficult to cut anything from a priest deck. It's just because the card worked soawesome in that one match where hw stole it.
Maybe if people manage to play around shadowmadness and cabal shadow priest better, than they do now, one of those can be cut in the future.
AHH
It actually happened!
Using Vol'Jin on your own minion was the RIGHT PLAY FOR ONCE

It summons a Lightwarden even if the target gets killed. I guess that's because technically everything below full health counts as damaged.
"I feel like stylin'" Trump is an undercover gangster.
I read the title and was like "aggro priest omg! trump's finally going to try and make an actually new deck!" but then it was like "ah.. nvm"
RUclips subtitles are hilarious! Turned them on by accident and had to leave them on!
Vol'Jin is "unplayable Jim" Lol.
"Shadow word: madness" :D

Is adding a "Gazlowe" to this deck be a good idea ? maybe replacing one cabal shadow priest ?
25:40 Shadow sadness
I don't understand why every druid runs Shade of Naxxramus. It's like, ONLY druids, but every single one! Why? There's no synergy in their deck for it that other decks don't have.
Doesn't need synergy. Three mana 5/5-8/8 is good on it's own, which it is in a druid.
Okay but why druid? Can anyone give me a real reason for it to be in every druid deck ever?
Stephen Anderson it fits well in the druid deck, especially ramp in some cases. Druid can afford to put down a shade on turn two or three more han other classes can by dropping druids and swipes. They don't really care. You can't do that in mech mage, you need turn three to drop minions that will attack. Things like that.

No synergy? Innervate? Savage Roar?
wow that druid game in the end.
mid range warlock player had an awesome screen name; shout outs to GOT reference!
Of all the decks this one might have the nastiest use for Chow with those aurchenais.
"My answer against handlock is a really low win rate"

That holy nova top deck!
Is the second game Trump's first ever BM? :o
The amount of stealing that went on in this series, maybe Rogues can learn a thing or two from this Priest.
Can I replace the bottom 3 cards with Boom, Alex and Holy Fire ? :D
hey people of youtube, i have all these cards except Vol'jin. any ideas as to what card would be a good replacement?
-2 light of the naru + 1 holy nova + 1 shrinkmeister and you have the priest deck i have been running since gvg came out
21:45 Playing around Molten Giant, are we?
I think you should run dr boom, since its such a good card. Maybe indtead of 1 smite?
Hey Trump, how about running Ysera? Is she forgotten due to the new meta established by GvG?
9 mana is way too slow for a deck like this which is primarily focused against anti-aggro, trump already talked about the curved topping at 6 mana. Ysera works in a slower control priest that has limited ways to end the game, but would also run rag, dr boom etc.
anything you can replace voljin with in this deck?

the whole point of this deck is anti-aggro, so you replace the injured BM for shade? That slows the whole deck down. also, most of the time holy smite is exactly what he needs as he will be killing low health creatures.
How can I replace the both legendaries and the second cabale?
with this amazing deck to counter druid and the current meta handlock will have a comeback which is great for me b/c i love handlock
priest needs a presence in meta. All classes should be present but good luck playing shaman consistently without a hard fix to their hero power.
The damned stand ready.
Please play this deck more often
That second game was ridiculous. The RNG loved trump.
No.RNG just don't like zoo.
I was mainly saying that his draws were fantastic for the situations he was in, I mainly play magic and I call that topdecking but I think in HS it is called RNG.

Shrinkmeister + Shadow Priest combo?
So if you swap Sylvanas for a mind control what should be reasonable to swap for Vol'Jin?
Mind control really defeats the purpose of an anti-aggro deck. Wouldn't make that swap. Probably replace them with other 5-ish cost cards like... well can't really think of anything that good. Loatheb and a Temple enforcer?
Tried to rebuild the deck as good as I could, replaced vol-jin and sylvanas with loatheb and dr. boom
Do you think there's the possibility that this deck can also stop the Huntards?
Most good deck can now stop huntards
Light of the Naaru - Sandstorm
Love this deck
So, i have a similar deck but run Cairne in it... but everytime i play him i get the feeling hes too slow for the current meta. Am i right or is it just me?
I've stopped running Cairne in my decks for a while now, with the popularity of silences and Aggro decks, it's usually too slow.
21:43 Y U NO attack with the blademaster? :(
cause he is injured
Missed lethal with that as well
Jan Herfs Holy shit that made me laugh out loud..
why not include Gazlowe? :D
Double Thoughtsteal seems kind of odd for an anti-aggro deck
U probably should play northshire cleric if ur the first player it usually forces the coin from him to deal with it and if its zoo the current meta then u might even get a 2/1 freebie or just make him pass all together kinda shows u dont play 2 much priest this is very effective specially against lock and druid because of the fear u might buff it out of killing range and start drawing cards very early
15:10 Trump reacts :)!
I guess there are a lot of comments about how you didnt atrack with the injured, but by not attacking you actually missed lethal next turn
Why did you both toss and not play northshire cleric 11:20? It's one of the best turn one plays in my opinion.
it is not a turn one play. Occasional exception when you have power word shield, or when you know you're facing something stupid like a mill deck. Generally, there need to actually be minions to heal before playing cleric is the right move.
I always feel locked when priests play a northshire turn 1. It feels like my only options at that point are to either coin out a 3/2 or do nothing.
Sounds about right... Cause getting your 2 attack minion out is SO CRITICAL against a priest
Especially in arena.

matthew connolly -1 smite maybe?
vicces, hogy már priestként is bgh-el kell játszani a sok dr. boom miatt
Yeah -1 smite :)
lol in the first game after the druid played Dr.Balance. Why din't trump at first shadowmadness the boombot -> run it into the shade -> see what happens with the bombs -> pw accordinly -> then first run cultist indto dr. boom and then the blademaster
leavers him with a blademaster with good health and the opponent with a boombot depending on rng even way better (boombot hits dr. boom for 4), but not much worse (boombot hits boombot which hits cultist for 4 the chance of that happenings is also way lower the the first possibility)
this line of play seems way better then trumps...
Why isn't zombie chow in the deck ?
Trump. The bottom left corner or your right hand (when palm is facing you) is definitely red. Probably from using a mouse all day long on a hard surface. Protect that shit, It's your career! Use a comfy mouse pad!
"here is what I came up with"
Or you could more truthfuly say
"here is what I Googled on icy veins, and changed 3 or 4 cards"
15:59 (draw holy nova) (evil laugh)
Skipperino trumperino 3.04
Did he reach the top 16?
12:04 wth Azure Drake in Zoo?
0:48 to skipperino trumperino kapparino
Missed lethal against rogue there :3
i'm pretty sure at 4:00 he could have cleared the board and have his blade master survive...
How?
I think I'd take Trump's remaining board state and not risk it over that play though. The chances of the bombs killing the Blademaster aren't -that- low really.
Why did trump heal the Light Warden? Doesn't he know 1=2?
Under 301 club, oh my goodness
21:43. Why didn't you attack?
Welcome to the club about ''301+ club jokes'', how funny are you?
woah when did trump finally get a non-golden 2nd cabal shadow priest
I remember when trump say Oh a priest free win. XD
Has Trump ever made it to number 1? He seems so determined to get there and I'm wondering if he's done it before
No
I only saw him once getting to rank 2.
OMG missed 4 damage at 21:44 :(
What is dead can never die
YES I called 6:45 5 seconds early !
What a play!!!!!!
Greyjoy's get crushed like they always do ,no surprise there :P
Can someone tell me what kind of deck the druid has? ((first game), and sorry for my bad english)
Ramp druid
It uses cards like wild growth and innervate to get out big threats and legendaries out early
Danilo Djokic I knew that, I ment what variant of ramp? :D
Jelle Versteeg Ramp Druid has less variance than 99% of decks out there. The Wild Pyro is just a weird tech choice, an anti-aggro one I assume.
I like my legendary to be big bad like regnoros or king krush
shuvo rahman
I never really said that it should be a first craft, that should be saved for the likes of Ragnaros, Tirion, etc. What makes Bloodmage so special is that you can usually play him on the same turn you cast your spell, which can be a pretty big deal for some boards, such as the one I mentioned in my comment. Then after he's done with that he gives you a card, which is fantastic, since you can keep up momentum. He's not flashy, but he is definitely one of the legendaries with the most utility.
wouldn't it be better if he was a epic
shuvo rahman
Besides the fact that there is only one Bloodmage Thalnos, if he was an epic that would mean each deck could run two of them, and there would be little to no reason to run either Loot Hoarder or Kobold Geomancer, since it is better than them in the only way you'd want to run either of them, and that's their effects; you sure as hell don't run them for their stats.
3:20 honest trailer ;)
