- This home is a beautiful old example of the craftsmanship that went into building homes and finishing them with stunning interiors of the early 1900`s. This one was built in 1920 and has so many awesome features left inside that will no doubt be salvaged prior to its demolition.
This home and it`s neighbor are another 2 lot site that has been bought by developers and will be replaced with multi leveled town houses. Come and take a look at this old beauty with me, I have included some real estate pics from 2014 for a visual reference as it was last lived in. Cheers for watching :-)
This was mine and my wife's home and together we were the ones that renovated it. We were only the third owners when we purchased it in 2002 and we sold it in 2005. The previous owner to us lived in the property for 52 years and won a council award for her immaculate gardens, which we maintained during our time at the property. We were very sad to see it be demolished and replaced with the shitboxes that now stand there in its place.
Hi John! Thank you so much for commenting! Not often at all do I ever hear or see former owners see their old homes so this is pretty cool! This is still one of my favorites! :-) I could tell it was a well loved and cherished home. Well done on maintaining it also. I filmed the one to the left and also the two on the right which are all gone now too. Those ones were all built in the 30`s. Yes and those ugly grey things there now are hideous! It makes me even more glad now I filmed it before it was gone, cheers mate :-)
Why ,why, why do people want to tear down beautiful old homes in that good of shape you can't buy that well built of houses nowadays they are treasures and historical . IT'S a shame .
Profit is the main driving force behind these decisions as all too often across society Joanna. Such a shame that a lot of the developers choose the lovely old homes as the have very large yards.......Thanks for watching :-)
Urbex Indigo Thanks for the show and your recording history of the homes befor their gone.
Preservation doesnt make somebody a millionaire.
It does cost a lot to maintain them😔
Because "zoning," and "smart growth," that's why. They want us all to live in little tiny apartments over the top of stores.
What a beautiful old home! So sad they’d tear down such a beauty! These homes have souls!
They sure do Gaylee! :-) This one has got another 100 years to give easily. Shame the developers see different fate.....Cheers for watching :-)
They sure do that’s y I saved mine.
This home is absolutely stunning even amidst it being salvaged. As a professional general contractor for many years I would love to get my hands on this one and restore it. It is a shame it is being torn down. Especially knowing that they are replacing it with a poorly built small home. Love your videos. You show the beauty of the home and the respect it deserves.
Hey Lea thanks for watching, I would love to see someone like yourself get this home and make it come to life again so it can be enjoyed for another 100 years! I`m happy that people can enjoy these videos after these homes are torn down, at least it is something. :-)
I believe what you are doing to document these old homes is very much appreciated by everyone. This is preservation of a wonderful kind. When I get to Australia I will definitely be looking for these types of homes to see.
I feel ya. I, too, work in construction, albeit commercial/industrial. A person's gotta hang their hardhat somewhere, and a home like that would be a fine place to do so
@@dixiechampagne2892 ,agreed
@@urbexindigo5164 , Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
I really liked this place. It had a friendly kinda vibe and wouldn’t have taken much to make it a nice family home again. Such a pity too see it go isn’t it. Parts of our history. Thanks.
Hey Jen I would move in here in an instant and just start living lol :-) Shame it will be gone soon. It seems they keep on picking the nice old ones....Thanks for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 heartbreaking really
Me too
What a sad waste of a classic old home, should have been heritage listed,so much history being lost to greedy developers soon there will be none left for future generations to see ,thanks for another good find bud keep up the good work cheers.🍻👍
Hey Roysta! :-) It certainly is silly to tear down these old nice homes, they just see the land and what they can put on it. I will try to get more and more. Seems it will be never ending lol. Cheers for watching :-)
Urbex Indigo It really does seem that your area is in a frenzy of ripping these grand old ladies as fast as they can to put up junk that won’t last 50 years once they are built. Roysta D, what a horrible thought, that there may come a generation who has no idea that everyone hasn’t always liked in hives, one box stacked on the next, and flanked with only a wall’ between each one and its neighbours. To have no recollection of what it is like to live in a detached home with a yard to play in. I sincerely hope this madness ends before that nightmare becomes reality. Perhaps one day students will sit in class discussing the works of Urban Indigo, and trying to imagine what living in one of these might be like. Much as I love these video tours, I hope the day never dawns when this is all that’s left of a way of life that is disappearing far to quickly. Happy holidays to you if you celebrate in some fashion on a date nearby, as I will be doing on the Solstice. Cheers.🖤🇨🇦

Such a Gorgeous treasure, The wood floors are beautiful. The light fixtures, awesome, such a shame, they just do not make homes like this anymore....Thank you for taking us along....Also loved the ceiling medallions....
Really glad you enjoyed this one Heather. So many nice features and a dam shame it cannot go on for more decades. Cheers for watching :-)
the ceiling medallions painted to match the walls & trim were beautiful
Beauty.
The details are exquisite.
You are right. That house was loved.
They must have found it hard to say goodbye to this one Crafty Fox......Shame it cant go on for another 100 years. cheers for watching :-)
Wow! “Stunning” was not clickbait! 😝 Perfect choice of words to describe this beautiful place! ❤️ Thanks for sharing.
Hey Reira thanks for watching. Yes this home has been very well maintained over the years and a shame will be knocked down. Glad you enjoyed Reira.
The style of house architecture of that era is absolutely stunning. I often wonder that, if the original builders could see the superb condition of the houses they built near on 100 years ago, what they would say ? Would they be pleased that all their labour & sweat, man hours of work & toil and choice of materials had resulted in a beautiful building that was still so straight and strong today as it was when they built it ? What would they say of the later extensions that expanded the house and gave it more liveable and usable room, with an indoor laundry and toilet, not to mention reverse cycle heating & cooling ?
I would like to think that they would be pretty proud, yet it would be in a modest and dignified way, giving a nod and a wink, a touch to the brim of their hats and a smile on their lips, as their spirit passes by as if to say G'day.
Hey Tim I hear ya and I hope in a hundred years people will looks back and want to go back to crafting out these type of homes once again! We marvel at the pyramids and they will marvel at the late 1800`s and early 1900`s homes! :-) Cheers for watching
@@urbexindigo5164 The sign that read "Never forget that you are loved" was ❤️ breaking. It made me wonder how long the last family lived there.🤔 Loved the arches, front door windows and the beautiful decorative peice on the ceiling

We couldn't believe it, this house was very well preserved, with so many details that nowadays we don't have. Another historical treasure being torn apart.
An old classic just sitting waiting for its fate.......a bit sad it cannot be restored by an actual home owner. Thanks for watching :-)
Beautiful Ceiling roses and the stained glasses is just gorgeous, This one made me a little sad. Thank you again for documenting our history.
My pleasure to document these homes Leeanne. :-) These homes need to live on in some way. Thanks for watching :-)
It makes me sick to see such a beautiful home that’s going to be destroyed, shame on those that don’t appreciate beauty.
I live in a 1890s house the same front door with stain glass all around i never tire of her shes a classic beauty , high ceilings and big front sash windows ,my house my home ...
Wow Angela, I hope you hold on to that one as long as you can! Sounds so good. I am learning and appreciating more and more this old history and effort that went into planning and building a family home back in the day. Cheers for watching :-)
The beautiful glass windows, chandeliers, built ins and fireplace, I can’t believe this is being torn down.
Yep one of the neighboring homes has already been demolished. dam shame!!! Thanks for watching Lynda :-)
It's a shame to tear down a solid home like this in the name of progress! Thanx for the great find
I agree Gerald, this home could easily last longer that what will replace it!!!! Such a shame. Cheers for watching :-)
What a gem! I just can’t imagine selling this, no matter what the price. This is why we have so few vintage homes to show to our children/grandchildren. It’s sad.....
Hey Pammi, yes others agree they would not sell up either! I would gladly live in this home now!!!! haha. Yep slowly more and more of these ones are going.....or Quickly I should say, cheers for watching :-)
Great find bro! The hallway is beautiful😍 keep the explores coming🙏🏼🔥

They certainly do not mate! Cheers for stopping bye again Rick! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 you are one of my favorite youtuber,s so yeah always a pleasure mate! :-)
Such a wonderful place but heartbreaking at the same time.
Agreed Michele. 100 years just torn down for a quick profit. Not really progress when then next buildings will be torn down is less than half that time! Cheers for watching :-)
It's sad that some of these properties being knocked are of better quality than those that are to replace them.
New homes here in UK are smaller not as sturdy and have thin walls. Not all progress is good.
Take care
Yep Jacky progress is just a term they try and trick us with. Profit for them is the motive. Thnks for watching :-)
Well said!! I love the decorative medallions under the beautiful light fixtures. Since they are destroying the home, I'd be arrested for trying to salvage them!!
It's so beautiful. I wish it were being restored, rather than demolished.
Me too Christy! I could live in this house til my dying days I think. Bloody developers and their plans! cheers for watching :-)
It makes me so angry and sad that such a beautiful piece of our heritage is going to be needlessly torn down to make way for those cheap rabbit warrens. They have no appeal except their price and in 20 years or so they will be either falling down, slums or both. Local councils should get the $ signs out of their eyes and start doing what is best for the residents, the environment and the future of Adelaide.
Well said HFH , I think there is starting to be some public backlash on a few old places that are heritage listed, developers are trying sneaky ways to get around the law and demolishing them, so hopefully it raises more support to keep the old historic homes in tact and tear the old weather board ones down! :-) Cheers for watching :-)
VERY WELL SAID ! It should be placed on a National Landmark list and others like it.
Someone should step in from that community and fight against it, try and make it a historical home, then they CANNOT destroy it. We are closing on our home next week, and I see so many things and am like...if they are destroying this at least can't they auction these pieces to people who would love them in their own homes??
@@michellemillington6452 Let's hope they do.
Step up to the plate, bleacher players don’t win the game only make noise!
These are close to my heart, know these so well, spent and lived in a 1900-1920's much of my life. What a shame but congrat's on this awesome historical documentation and photo history research. Thumbs up!
My Grandmother had an early 1900`s weather board home but it had arched halls and wooden floors so I really love these as it does remind me of early memories in different houses. I`m glad you were also able to connect with this one Gene! Cheers for watching :-)
I would happily live in that house as it is.
I think we all would be Vigermina. Unfortunately the developers have the money to outbid any true home buyers............Thanks for watching :-)
What a beautiful home this was, and architecturally still quite sound. The hall arches are gorgeous and judging by the switches it looks to have been wired in between the 1910s and 20s. The porch gingerbread is very ornate and in great shape still. The stained glass. Is reminiscent of the time leading up to the Art Nouveau period and all still intact. The ceilings are nice and high throughout as well. I’m sure it went through a few interior renovations over the years, but at least they left her bones intact in the process. The floors were kept in very good nic throughout, considering they would have been waxed and hand polished for a number of years before being stripped and varnished for greater ease of cleaning later. The ceiling bosses for the fixtures are simply stunning, and show up there frequently in these old houses, and even some later ones. I didn’t see if there were any old heritage fruit trees or the like in the yard. I still find it odd that so few of these things homes offer multiple floors in your part of the world, with mainly just the ground floor being living space...and no basements. This house has a lot of stories to tell if those walls could talk.
Once again you have done a splendid job of showing us the architectural details, and contemplating the use of various rooms, not so easy with all the furnishings gone.
I really appreciate that you find good explores not yet discovered by vandals and graffiti monsters...that really lets the imagination flow unimpeded by modern day forms of self expression. I love the way you bring us into the exploration as if we were right there with you, you have a very personable way of talking TO us instead of AT us like so many do. Thank you for this...as for so many you have already shared. I must say...your intro was really gripping on this one. It may be that your editing skills have been improving with practice...I notice your panning is slower and smooth, along with other signs that you are really growing as a videographer in all aspects, but for me, this intro had it all working full bore...my compliments on these steps forward. Stay safe out there, and I hope your holidays...however you celebrate, and on whatever dates are filled with light, love, and laughter. 🖤🇨🇦
Hey Tamarra! :-) Firstly thanks for all of your knowledge and input here, this is exactly why I want you guys involved as much as possible because my knowledge is limited and I will probably not age things correctly or notice other things. I do really enjoy finding these ones in limbo between sale and demolition as they are very much abandoned even if we know the exact reason. And as you said they still offer the untouched glimpse at what was a 100 year span of living for multiple families.
Secondly thanks for the compliment regarding my video efforts, I am really enjoying improving this area as much as possible. I could probably spend hours in these homes with a tripod doing incredible shots but I want to keep practicing a very efficient way of getting good footage while on the go as a lot of places will require a quick in and out visit hahaha. :-) The editing process is a great way for me to express creativity for the feel of the explore and home so i`m glad you have had a goon experience with them. I hope to keep improving too. Thanks again for watching Tamarra, safe and awesome Christmas to you and your family too! :-)
Urbex Indigo it is a genuine pleasure playing architectural trivia with my own memory and your visuals. When I was very young I thought I wanted to be an interior designer, so I did a lot of studying of the style periods...and a lot of it seems to have stuck.
I thoroughly enjoy your style of presentation, and I think you are doing it right for you. Letting us share the feeling of needing to get in and out quickly is different from those who go for the “perfect” shot...every shot can convey whatever the photographer wishes it to.
Your music choice really pointed up the style of filming you choose.
You deserve the compliments on your increasing skills, the effort you put in really shows...and it’s exciting to watch an artist’s growth curve.
Thank you for the lovely wishes...we started early today with our 42nd Anniversary. You make this subscriber feel welcome and among friends, and I have no doubt it is the same for the others here too. Your channel is steadily growing and I have every confidence that you will take it all the way. May you enjoy every moment.🖤🇨🇦
This is the first one that has made me so sad ; the work and beauty put into this building is overwhelming. Man is never happy with what we have. Thank you for documenting and showing us true architectural beauty.😊
Yep!!! I`m hearing ya Laurie :-) Annoying a real home owner could not buy it and love it.....Developers have the cash to outbid!!! This one and its neighbor will be replaced by a boring complex of units. thanks for watching :-)
Just breaks my heart to see beautiful old homes demolished to redevelop properties😔 homes just aren't built this solid or with this much character anymore.
Hey Shannon thanks for watching! :-) In my local suburbs there is so much re development going on I hardly even have to drive 5 minutes to get a lot of these home filmed. Lucky but also unlucky these houses cannot live on for many more decades. :-)
Shannon Ollett Totally agree!
They don't build houses like that anymore even here in England ones that last and ones with plenty of rooms it was lovely touring round with you what a pity it will soon be gone yes I agree with you around 1920 's thank you take care xx

The feeling i get is that who ever lived there had a happy family , such a nice vibe !!!!
Such beautiful workmanship should be preserved. You will never again see this kind of artistry in home building. These days any old hack can build a house. So glad that both of my home were built before this new age trash.
Thanks for watching Yyvonne, like hearing your passion for these old beauties! So much more character and skill went in to building these. A loss for sure when it goes. :-)
Wow such a beautiful home!! It is a total shame that it is being torn down!!
Shame Shame Shame on those greedy developers! They only see the size of the lots! Bummer. Cheers for watching Kristi :-)
What a treat! You have great timing, I've had a particular bad night and your video was there to distract me till my meds kick in :-). What a beautiful house - it should be against the law to destroy such a well kept property! I believe those gorgeous windows are art deco, that would fit with the build date of 1920. But the structure itself appears to be 20 to 30 years older. Incredible condition, so glad you found this one - to share and record. Thank you for one of your mint videos :-).
Hey Donelle I`m glad you have found some comfort in watching this nice old home! :-) Sorry to hear you had a bad night. The windows may have been added at a later point as you say, it has been very well maintained all this time. The door way to the bathroom has been made narrower if you look closely which suggests the original layout maybe slightly altered over time too! :-) Cheers for watching :-)

What a stunning home! How can that not be considered a heritage home? The molding, glass work and ceiling medallions along with those gorgeous old chandeliers. It breaks my heart to know it’s being lost.
Hi Melissa :-) Strangely and luckily for Adelaide there are many many many many old houses like this still standing so even though it is a beautiful waste of a home it is not considered heritage. The rate we are losing them though is a worry.....

I wonder the same thing April, the developers must make them an offer to good to refuse. Wish I could have it too! :-) cheers for watching and your support :-)
I am really amazed, reason being is so many of the Explorers will advertise their video's with the words 'Untouched' 'Everything left behind' and 'Immaculate', then once you click on the video and start watching it becomes apparent that this abandoned place has been ransacked, things broken, and the walls a washed with spray painted symboles.
I was thinking that this would be true of your video...But I was wrong, no spray paint, no broken stuff scattered all over, and true to your word this place was Immaculate! Thanks for proving me wrong!

@Unknown Reflection Funny thing what if the planet says it can't take any more 'garbage',,,distorying the land, water, trees you name it.
Now some folks are trying to make a for real drug (s) designed somehow to keep folks alive to 1,000 yrs old. The planet barely can deal with the population it has now... wot's funny is if they could mess with folks gens & all the 'rich' would prob. jump on it big time. Yup! Then stuff goes wrong or they have to say goodbye to so many friends, wife/husband/kid ect. & see so many changes maybe all not for the better.
Be like the Twilight Zone story where this guy who wears thick glasses is in a safe reading his beloved books then a nuke goes off & he's the only one left. alive.
He collects alot of books on steps of a building & his glasses get broken & he can't see to read.
Of course Rod S. never mentions radiation, black rain & even with a radiation 'suite' on he'd have less then 12 hrs if that to live, but Rod was telling his cool story.

Hey Mike! Yep your right, a few of the oldest suburbs have these homes everywhere, there is a cool article about this that states-Stone, however, was South Australia’s predominant building material. At the 1911 census, in the classification of outer wall materials of private dwellings, over 62% of South Australian houses were of stone, compared to 8% in Australia as a whole, and only 9% were of wood, compared to 55% nationally. Seventy-one percent of Australia’s stone houses were in South Australia; no other state’s proportion of stone went above 6%. Cheers for watching mate. :-)

Such a shame to see it go this house was so cute !
Another extraordinary example of the individuality of homes as they used to be built. The finishings that were left were so beautiful. Those ceiling medallions where the lighting fixtures were hanging were wonderful as was the archway and the stained glass. I am glad to know that some were salvaged so that they would be available for buyers who value such things. Again, thanks for documenting this home.
Hey lladylobo1 thanks for watching this one too! Even though some of these homes are empty of furniture and personal belongings I still really love looking and learning from the features and what era they came from. Glad you also share that passion and probably far more knowledge on the era styles! I agree it is a real shame developers jusr see the size of the lot and do not care what sits on it.
I was born and raised in the midwestern USA. There are still some beautiful older homes there and they are so worthwhile to see and to maintain. The cookie-cutter homes we tend to live in these days lack that sense of pride and the beauty we used to see everywhere.
In the US, our pioneer dwellings and even the old farm dwellings are disappearing as fast as they seem to be doing where you are. I really enjoy seeing the differences in the building practices from those eras in Oz as opposed to here as well as the similarities. We have only this one earth and must share it with each other as much as possible. I can only hope we can learn from the mistakes we've made and from our shared history to ensure we don't destroy it all. History is important. Until next time.
It’s so sad that some people now adays just don’t care for these beautiful homes. I love these homes.
Yep and the fact that the developers can throw good money at the owners to get them to sell! Not good for our history at all. Thanks for your passion Sharon and for watching :-)
What a place ; first class work mate .The common theme I think is cracking walls . I’d tender that everything in that place was reusable,, the floorboards, skirting, architrave, mouldings, light fittings,, beautiful.Even the old clay bricks ( probably from that old brickworks in Thebarton??is it )Anyway after a hectic day delivering generators to towns in the gulf about to get hammered by cyclone Owen it’s great to see the notification pop up n relax with something that seems to deliver every time . Well done 👍 again. Have a great Xmas if we don’t hear from you before.
Hey mate there is a high probability the bricks are from Thebarton, this is not far from there actually lol :-) Glad you are able to relax with these videos mate! Hope you make it through the cyclone unscathed and I will have another video up next Wed night! Cheers mate! :-)
Why is the government allowing the so called builders, (ass wipes), to destroy this beautiful classic historical home??
So they can fit more tax payers into the same area of space!!!!! lol Profit and greed allow the developers to offer good money to people to sell and its all called progress and business, I just hope enough old homes are on heritage lists to preserve our history :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Exactly. Funny that the transport will remain the same. Melbourne in the 1930s. a bit over 1 million people, 14 electrified rail lines & 600 or so trams. Sydney at the time, no more than 1.5 million people & 1600 trams.
But why does the government need tax? Don't they print & control the money supply?
To be replaced by architecture unappealing to the eye no doubt. What a marvelous example of craftsmanship.
I love how they painted the medallions on the ceiling to match the walls. Very pretty stained glass windows. Very glad to see they are saving the baseboards. I have windows above the doors that open like that in the house I am currently renting, love them. The lights are very pretty too. Beautiful home, such a shame it is to be demolished.
It's a beautiful old home with many period features still intact such as the ceiling roses and leadlight windows. In order to salvage the beautiful leadlight, they will have to (i hope) remove the entire panels in which they're placed.
In the real estate pics, we notice three bedrooms, each with a study desk and single bed, so not certain which bedroom was the main, also noticed the absence of a formal living room, unless the rear step down sunroom was the living room....a great find and a shame another well built period home will be lost to make way for new dwellings, but unfortunately it happens all too often.
Hey Chris I have a feeling the sunroom was the living room and the first blue bedroom I entered was the parents room?? :-) It seemed to have 3 childrens room! haha. Although the front left room with the air conditioning unit may have been a living area? Cheers for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 - The main bedroom was the first bedroom on the right as you walked in and the sunroom was actually our dining room. Our living room was the second room on the right as you walked in.
My house is from 1924 and it’s way better than my previous house built in 2010
Everytime I watch this I fall in love with it!! So glad that you were able to do this one.
Yep another one of my Favs Mari :-)
So beautiful, it is an atrocity that these beautiful homes are torn down and monstrosities are put in their place.
And indeed a monstrosity will be put on this lot!!!!! Hopefully at least all the nice interior features will be reused in another old home. Cheers for watching Marcia :-)
very pretty
In the future they will look and say look how beautifully designed and built were the homes, those people lived well.
I think you are right with that C Annon :-) Slowly losing the detailed craft of human skills in building. Cheers for watching :-)
Really Beautiful home sad it will be destroyed. Love the arch doorway, and stained glass as well as the chandeliers.
I guess the one good thing is that those nice things will be saved and reused. Thanks for watching Lorraine :-)
What a beautiful home. The stained glass, transoms over the doorways, the medallions on the ceiling with the tiny chandelier. You would be prying my fingers off the door frame to get me out. Thanks for the video
This one was such a shame to be bulldozed Debra, I would have glady lived here til my dying days :-) Glad you felt the same :-)
Thanks for this interesting video!! Very nice!👍🙋🕊️
Hi L L :-) Glad you liked, and i`m glad I found this one. Cheers :-)
Bel video ......hai fatto notare particolari oggetti di quel che e' rimasto!!!! Lasciati volutamente ?......lampadari....cornici camino....elefantino portafortuna!!!! Che splendore di Villa.. ....sfortunata. ciao👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Lucilla, thanks for watching. Yes I guess the family took only the things they wanted and will leave the interior features for a salvage crew to save and re sell. At least some parts will be saved. :-)
I am glad you documented this before this beauty is gone. Tyvm
Me too Wendy! :-) Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching :-)
Obviously a well crafted house. Really upsetting that it will be demolished. I am glad they are preserving some of the things, but really it is a shame that it can't be lived in. Thank you for preserving its memory. Homes of that era are becoming less and less common, especially in that condition. I would LOVE to see it completely restored.
I think everyone agrees with your statement Darcy :-) This one should be restored and preserved as long as possible. It becomes more and more evident that developers do not even care what sits on the land they just want it gone for their new profit project to go up! Thanks for watching Darcy :-)
Great to see single story home from that time. Don’t see much that old here in US.
Hey Susan that is one of the interesting main differences between the US and here in Australia. Over here double story dwellings were not common at all, only more official buildings were built with two stories. Big part of this was due to the very hot weather and before electricity and air conditioners the upstairs areas where unbearable in summer. Cheers for watching. :-)
What a shame this beautiful house is getting tore down if this keeps happening we won't have any history left
Spot on Ross. I hope to keep finding these to help preserve the memories :-) Cheers for watching
I think it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s so sad to see such valuable pieces of someone’s history rotting away. 😢 Thank you for another amazing video. 😊
My pleasure Fatiha, glad you also enjoyed this one. Thanks for showing your support and watching :-)
What a stunning house on the outside. I love the stone pattern.
Hahaha I just checked on my data and bam you where here lol xxx great video thanks
Good to see you again Renee! Thanks for stopping bye and watching :-)

Hi Robia, this one has some very nice interiors still. Glad I found this one. Thanks for watching :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 its a shame these home are going to be demolished
Dam shame indeed Robia! :-)
@@urbexindigo5164 Im glad that u do these videos so people cann see them
Thank you so very much..so sad to see these Beautiful homes torn down.
My pleasure Pamela, i`m really happy people are getting to appreciate this one before it is gone forever! Thanks for watching :-)
Thanks again. A bit too recent for an oldie like me. Doesn’t recover memories but beautiful. Developers and demolition !!!! Makes me cross. But time is ruthless and moves on!
It was called the "summer kitchen".
That makes total sense Norma! I even use my fry pan out in the back porch in summer! Really old country homes have a little separate building too sometimes as the summer kitchen! Thanks Norma!!! And for watching :-)
Ohh this house reminded me of my Grand Parents home except we had a full frontal veranda out front . The memories I have from living there and growing up till I was 11 years old. Stupid parents actally got my grandfather to to let them sell it so they could have a more modern home , if I remember correctly the house was sold for a measly £4,000 pounds this was just before we changed from , pounds , shillings & pence , to dollars and cents . Today the house is possibly worth millions , because of the close proximity to the city of Adelaide , size of block etc . To top it off the new house they bought they lost as they rented it out while we lived in a caravan up in Queensland , and the bank took it because the realtor handling the property did not keep it rented . So yes a big loss too myself and siblings inheritance. I would still be living there if I had my way . Life was so simple back then . Lets save what we can while we can .
Oh wow! Deb that is a bad luck story for sure!!! Back in Victoria my Grandmother had an old weather board home built in 1913 and it had the veranda right across the front too, had the detailed arch ways too, was the first home in the town to be adapted to electricity also! My Aunt sold it after Gran died but it is still very well kept by the new owners luckily, Small town. :-) Yes as you say the size of the blocks were very large in these old homes and this is the reason the developers target them and care not for the structure only the land size. They get two next to each other and see profit!!!!!! By putting up huge complex of units. Sad ...Glad you got to grow up in such a crafty well made old home. Cheers for watching :-)
I like how you summarised how it used to look towards the end it’s a beautiful home 👍🏽
Hi Tamarafeliz thanks for watching! :-) Even though no furniture and things are left in some of these nice old homes I still like to see and describe the cool old features, and of course find any previous rental pics. Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching :-)
I love how the doors, even to the bedrooms, have a key lock just below the original door handle!
"Ye who ring the bell be cursed"
😂😂. Just kidding. Great video
Hey Urbex-Lex thanks for stopping bye! :-) Haha luckily I have not had any bad luck since I filmed and ran the bell. Yet anyway. :-)
No problem! Im subbed to you. Wishing you continued good luck lol.
What a majestic place! What a pity its being torn down. So many of us would give our eyeteeth to have such a home. The powers that be should of recognized the value of this place. Dumb Heads!
Yep Dumb Heads is one word we can use for them! haha. I would love this one too mate! Cheers for watching :-)
Such a beautiful home. I hate to hear its being demolished. Thank you for sharing such a great find.
My pleasure for sharing this old beauty Purple Fox, glad you liked and thanks for watching :-)
I also love that archway..awesome beauty
thought it was a baby changeing table
It’s a change table which has a bath under the change table bit... shelving for baby’s things and a potty is just sat on the bottom shelf which don’t normally come with the change table. 😊 my daughter has one of these tables 👍
This home is incredibly beautiful. The architectural details are fantastic.
I`m so glad I found and filmed this one Lisa! Glad you enjoyed it too! Thanks for watching :-)
Even though they're pretty similar in architecture, these houses all show their history . Most are worn, beat-up, and neglected. Then there are the ones like this one that was obviously loved and well cared for. This was a beauty.
What a beauty. How, in heaven’s name, will there be another one to top this.........but, of course you will find it. My thanks to you.
Hey Beverly, hopeful I can top this one especially if it means preserving them purely by videos. Cheers for your support :-)
