It's canon that they get along as colleagues but they aren't in any relationship.
Although canon Nakime does feel safe when he's around in uppermoon meetings.....probably since he's the only sane one among the uppermoons along with Akaza.
He on the other hand likes her biwa skills but that's about it.
Either way it's kinda obvious why she summoned him first in the uppermoon meeting in season 3.
(These infos were in the databooks I believe when each uppermoon was saying thier opinion on each other)

Imaginw how powerful nakime actually is for her to hold back and let them hit her as in the original au tanjiro was powerful enough to land a hit on sanemi so that brings up the question? are this au of nezuko alot weaker then orginal au tanjiro(which i dont think is the case)or is nakime just that much more powerful then sanemi.
