I am so reassured that I’m not the only nutter who gets childishly excited when a storm enters my locality. I share you enthusiasm, my friend, and your love for cloud formations. You’re the UK’s answer to Reed Timmer and Pecos Hank. Hat’s off to you, Sir!
@@scouse2606 yes he died i expected a small lightning and thunder strom he died F in chat for respect P.S the news was everywhere edit:i was at the park then the clouds started to roll in I RAN cause i cloud hear thunder
Yes! Many storms arriving in England and Scotland but the 11th all around England, one strikes right outside my school in the playground, extremely loud.
Just over Northwich near to me going bonkers and absolutely was hopeful you’d be chasing! But really unexpected to myself! It seemed too cold but not an expert. These films are cracking! Just really exciting and some jeopardy too which keeps you on edge!! Paul
I can feel your enthusiasm for a good storm, I love em too, I'm on the opposite coast in Bridlington and sometimes weather coming out of your neck of the woods has fizzled out by the time it gets to us. Just got to hope for local conditions to brew up a blast.
This storm started over ours in Liverpool, we watched it head your way I actually mentioned this channel to my kids. It was a corker, short lived but it was loud.
Yay!! Glad to see you back with some stormage! You really need a Facebook page for the weather (I know you have 1 for your trains, I'm a follower of that). Was nice to get a couple of flashes and a handful of rumbles yesterday here in Berwick-Upon-Tweed.
i live just outside of Chester, which is south of Blackpool & we had 2 really bad storms today; one at about 3:30 and another storm just before 7 this evening 2nd storm was definitely worse though for thunder and lightning ⛈ wish i could be brave enough to watch the storm like you 😂
I find this odd, I didnt think England would get severe thunderstorms bc of how far north they are. Very interesting video to say the least, just please be careful in lightning or if you see a tornado forming. Yikes!
Believe it or not on Tuesday evening around 6:30pm there was a tornado in Weston-Super-Mare unfortunately I didn't witness it but it was on the local news this morning ( 13/05/2021 )
Aww bab it’s grate to see you back again. It’s also nice to no I’m not the only person bouncing around the garden getting hyped up by the weather (charging my brain 🧠 cells 🤪) bring it on I say 🌩⛈⚡️🌪🌈
Be careful Gordon. In my 20 years as a paramedic I can tell you of at least several jobs very close to home regarding lightning strikes. Construction workers and golf courses a classic. So tragic about the 9 year old boy who was stuck in this storm. RIP. Did you know lightning can strike you from up to 10 miles away! I’d be indoors personally given the choice.
One hell of a storm this early in the season like you said hope it's a taste of what's to come I never tire of watching storms too it's so addictive lol
Its bizarre, I'm over in Dublin and we've had a lovely, albeit cool and breezy, day in Ireland. I could see the cloud bubbling in the direction of Wales across the Irish Sea, then saw the radar with all those bright coloured splodges over Snowdonia, Cheshire etc. Such a contrast to the settled day we had here
Great video Gordon I do love watching these weather videos that was amazing lighting that was a great thunder storm I can't wait for more of these video's top job Gordon can't wait for next video Gordon hope you and your family and friends are well and safe 👍👍👍👍👍
I live in Warrington uk and I was also chasing this storm , came right over our house I didn’t even have to travel 👍 I’d love storm chasing and I’d do anything to storm chase with you this 2021 storm season 💙 🤙😀😁👍I will stay tuned and I will also be chasing a lot this storm season can’t wait for what’s going to happen😁😁😁
Hi was this the same storm that hit that poor lad? So sad he was a good kid.. but this storm didn't reach lancaster below it's self out. Just a bit of rain And wind nothing else.. so sorry for him he was a great lad.. mother nature is the worst sometime 2❤😞
Again another truely epic thunderstorm to kick of the new storm Season here in the UK. Here's to another season like we had in august last year. Man what a treasure that was. Looking forward to more Video's of these hopefully monstrous storms we are to get through the season. On a side note, i have a question. I was wondering if you had a discrod server in which you and people alike could communicate and talk about these truely magnificent moments as they happen? Take care and stay safe out there Bud!
Hi Gordon, I'm sorry to be a pain but, the 9 Yr old in Blackpool who was struck by lightening today, has sadly passed. Just thought you might not have heard yet.
Haven't had any thunderstorms in Essex and East Anglia. Might get some tomorrow if the weather gets bit warmer. Some amazing lightning strikes as well.
Rotorua gets on average about half a dozen thunderstorms a year. Not usually that spectacular although in recent years one or two very loud, very flashy ones…with plenty of CG bolts, along with loud booms…
Sad news from Blackpool Police - UPDATE: A nine-year-old boy has sadly died following an incident on a football field shortly after 5.05pm today. Although enquiries are still ongoing, we believe the boy was struck by lightning. Our thoughts are with the boy's family at this sad time. School Road has reopened.
😨 - I would be recording that behind a closed window/inside a car, not in an open part of a garden directly under it ⚠️ - ⚡️risk of getting struck by lightning - you appear to be quite far from those house’s/chimneys/tv aerials - and you would be a tall thing like them for a cloud to ground strike -⚰️. When I see these thunderstorms and can’t see the lightning, I bring a radio and turn it to AM band - AM/MW/LW and tune into a blank part to hear the static interference from the storm, if the parent cell is overhead - I would switch the radio to FM and tune to the beginning of the spectrum to hear static interference - that will work with vintage radios, some modern ones can filter out static on FM 😉
Such a shame about the little lad.....hope you didn't catch the actual bolt would be a touch disrespectful, think an added comment at the end warning of the dangers would be the right thing to do

That one lighting strike reminded us how dangerous storms can be but unfortunately people still be stupid and go out in them

My weird cat loves thunderstorms, he loves to sit and watch them. And fireworks. Not scared at all.
Wow
Sorry to hear about that little boy, must be awful for his family, rest in peace.
So sad to hear about the young lad that died, i love storms but so dangerous too
I feel bad for the young boy who got struck by lightning here in the U.K.

I just knew to check your channel after watching this on the radar, you did not disappoint! So excited to watch you this season.

Fantastic! Can't wait to watch your vids this season
In wales I've looked at the radar and some possible funnels in Shropshire I saw the lightning yesterday but not much but I heard a lot of thunder
Had a nice little storm down here in Devon too today, saw it coming in around 1pm, and had a few bolts of lightning and heavy rain around 3pm.
Yay storm season is back and so are nodrog's blogs 😄, hope it's gonna be a good season
