I like how Nicole is probably the only one of the Cunning Hares who is actually a true A-rank, surrounded by S-ranks, and she's mainly the leader of three absolute beasts through sheer charisma
There is a lot about nicole that is off though. Think about it, her knowledge of high society and connection isn't something normal people are privy of. Not just that, she's supposedly knowledgeable enough about laws where she can defend her own case. And we know throughout the game that she is infact very good at earning money, she's only in debt because all of it goes to orphanages and the poor. My assumption is that at some point she got adopted by a high class family or upper class mobs before founding the cunning hares.
Cause that's typical tactical move for any group wanting to gain advantage in an upcoming skirmish. Gangs in outer ring does it too, this is why Billy caught up what's going on.

Most of the agents can be invited at any time of the day, meanwhile Anby don't have the option to invite her at midnight, and S11 can only be invited at night and midnight. It's a bit subtle on Anby's side, but it's the details like these can make the characterization compelling to take note of.

here's the thing Anby's real name is never actually mentioned she stated herself she was taken in by Nicole after being found seriously injured and she "Borrowed" her last name for legality reasons and tax issues. Anby's name is obviously an alias so her REAL name might be something entirely else.. the fact Soldier 11 calls her Silver, may very well imply her previous alias or her actual name it's left ambigous for a reason folks Devs straight up said let the players sort that sh-t out. The other thing is that EVERYONE in the Cunning Hares is actually as strong as an S-rank but due to one issue or another they've decided to "NERF" themselves due to outside or personal issues.

I actually came up with a few questions since the Silver Soldier Anby being drip marketing. 1. Their weapon and backpack designs are currently different. But with Silver Soldier Anby, Nicole seems to imply that her Silver Soldier outfit was the one she first saw Anby in way back apparently. What does that mean for the similarities in design for A rank Anby? No backpack, not only 2 swords, but completely different designed swords, with both of their current swords looking like the ones the Rebel enemies use. 2. General Chop says that he’s surprised Soldier 11 and her have never seen each other considering how small Sixth Street is, but what about their Puzzle Shot from the HIA? Was that taken further back than recent? Or they have met/seen each other with no one knowing; but they just go on their merry way, pretending not to see?
For number 1, there seems to be some sort of story behind this outfit we won't be aware of until 1.6. But it clearly isn't Anby's stock Obsidian Division gear without modification. Not sure if it was modified by Anby in between being with Soldier 11 and being with Nicole or if it is something Anby does during 1.6 with Billy's help maybe. (all the extra stars and thunderbolts feel like a Starlight Knight) For number 2, that one is much easier. General Chop was not there when Anby and Soldier 11 were fighting together. He is just commenting that they have never run into each other on 6th Street specifically. The picture is probably from inside a hollow that Chop never went to. But I think Anby's outfit creates more questions than answers, so 1.6 should be fun. Most likely it isn't exactly Anby helping the Obsidian Division, but Anby helping Trigger because the two trust each other. No reason to assume Trigger would come to Proxy if she wasn't doing something she doesn't want the Obsidian Division to know about.
I'm just hoping my theory of them being clones turns out to be true. That would also explain why we'll get a "2nd Anby" as after Anby deserted they simply replaced her. Also, there was (is?) a chinese voiceline for Soldier 11 where if she's in the same team with Anby, she'll say "You turned sloppy zero" while swapping in via quick assist. That would also explain why Soldier 11 is called that (she being the 11th clone). P.S.: They're both devoid of emotion, just like clones bred for war and war only, which is further supported by the lies Soldier 11 believed about new years "traditions", which are all excuses for Obol Squad members to fight in hollows even during festivals.
Or maybe Anby is the original and the clones grow at a rapid pace because the creators needed her to reach maturity asap to harness her abilities? This is a fun theory man. This would also explain Soldiers having numbers for names.
It's not a "2nd Anby" it's the same Anby, the images reveal that, in one she talks about Nicole, and in the other where people are talking about her, Nicole says it feels weird to see her in those clothes again, so those are the clothes she used to wear in obol squad and she will have to wear them again for some reason.

It was never mentioned that Obol Squad was so elite that they required tougher training than void hunters for example. Also, I still hold out hope by my theory because gameplay-wise it'd be weird having Anby and Silver Anby on the same team, as in terms of lore that wouldn't exactly make sense (as of now). But hey, we'll find out for sure when that version drops. :)

This story is so amazing. It can really beat out the aspect of the game how you can just dig deeper and deeper to find more. Loving the direction so far over the years it’s gonna be amazing.
I mean I remember the old trailers of Soldier 11 which everyone seems to forget or miss, the inner voice/memory giving Soldier 11 advice like a mentor was Anby her voice. Which is a REALLY big detail too. But besides the trailer with her training and not the one where she was chased is somehow much more known, while the other is completely missed.

Anby deserted because the unit she and 11 were in were committing atrocities. Something that 11 is well aware is wrong. But whereas Anby went rogue because of them and doesn't try to justify them, 11 copes by justifying them as necessary sacrifices and a sense of loyalty. I think her hatred for traitors is a coping mechanism to justify the atrocities she's been party to.

Listening to music slows the corruption in hollows I think. There’s a document you can find saying how a dude went in and put on some music in some headphones and was able to last longer
My head canon before the drip marketing was she was framed as a traitor and got kicked out and was given a bounty eventually she was pronounced dead by the obol squad after another soldier was mistaken for her she soon met Nicole and that was that
I still think they're clones, from some sort of secret military black project. Anby was the first (which is why S11 calls her Soldier 0), and Soldier 11 is the 11th iteration, which is why she looks ever so slightly different and has a different voice. Them all being clones technically makes them sisters, and that's probably how they treated each other when they were all in the program together, before Anby defected. This is also kind of reinforced by the conversations we get in the Ridu's Got Boo event with Soldier 11, where we talk about new years traditions, and she says "they" told her that a normal new years tradition is to go into Hollows and blow up ethereals, which she now realizes might've been just something "they" said to get them to cull more Ethereals. Implies she grew up without parents in a really weird, militaristic environment and didn't know anything else until very recently.
S11: So you've finally returned to your senses Silver. What, was being a Hollow Raider not scratching that itch anymore? Anby: I am only doing this because I am needed. S11: No, you are doing this for the uniform, for the code, for the oath we both swore to so no one could experience what we went through. Anby: You mean the oath to follow orders blindly and never question authority? Regardless of how much you disagree with the mission from a moral standpoint? S11: And now you're a paragon of justice as a Raider? Anby: I never said I was, but I choose whose orders I follow. S11: And where did those choices lead you, hmm? There's a bit more insight during their invites as well. Soldier 11 thinks movies are a waste of time and hamburgers are junk food. Which just so happens to be Anby's two favorite things. Total sibling energy.
Also when you hang out with N11 to eat with General Chop, at some point, she tells about how good the spicy noodles are, but she won't tell you anything if you like hamburgers (Reference to Anbys favorite food)
If i'm not mistaken when Cunning Hares talk with HSO6, Anby mentioned Defense Force, and in the puzzle event there's picture of Anby and Soldier 11 fight together side to side
ZZZ really is something else, the gift that keeps on giving... I thought they reached peak with Jane Doe, then that Burnice MV came out to 1-up it... then they finally dropped playable Miyabi and i thought the true peak was here... but now we got an even better Anby to top it all... When is it gonna stop? It keeps getting better and better... is this now the real peak? Or what's next? I don't have the kinda money one need to keep up with all that...
And then you realise that they are setting up Hugo Vlad, and seeing how his story is tied up with Lycaon, wouldnt be surprised if they made an alternate version of Lycaon to go alongside it... One where he maybe ditches his manners to go all out for a time. Since Vlad and Mockingbird are the only things that can manage to make him lose his poise and that there is many hints that Lycaon keeps suppressing his agression, I could definitely see it happen. Even moreso with Lycaon being the most popular male character by far, so much that he keep appearing in speaking cutscenes even though the VA is still missing
I think Anby´s actually buffing herself with her music rather than nerfing. Sound Frequencies have had influences on Ether from the very start. (You can especially see that with how Astra can kinda control Ether with her singing.) Look at how the ballet Twins react to the music box. They also Sing. And then there is the fact that W-engines use music the boost your combat capabilities. (Explained by Anby in the early game) and Drive Discs are the literal songs that the W-Engines play. So she's buffing herself with the music.
They shoulda made her have Anakin Skywalker type drip that matches soldier 11's aesthetic, while also adding more cyberpunk bossgirl appeal like her 4 star version because her 4 star design is awesome and I wanted her to match soldier 11 a but more closely since they are both squad mates. Honestly her new design gives more Firefly vibes than even Anby, does anybody else feel the same?
In Soldier 11's lore trailer video, Anby can be heard drilling things into her head, and there's comments about Anby and drill sargeant. Soldeir 11's hatred of burgers also suggests that there's some bitter feelings towards Anby, like maybe she's mad that she left the military.
1:34 Nah. The game has pretty much confirmed Anby bounced from military service because she was disgusted by the atrocities her unit was carrying out. Both Anby and 11's dialogue confirms that whatever supersoldier program they were party of was committing some serious crimes against Humanity. 11's dialogue indicates that 11 is also guilty of participating in these atrocities. Anby went for broke with Nicole because she'd rather be morally rich and financially broke in the Cunning Hares than morally broke and financially rich in the New Eridu government.

it's heavily implied that Obol squad was some sort of special program that did experiments to children to make them into super soldiers. Hence why both Anby and Soldier 11 are kinda autistic in how they act. Them being "siblings" might be in the same way kids that grew up in the same orphanage call each other siblings.

Anby did a S-rank if she was at the defense force like military defense against Hollow Invaders. -------- I wonder why she didn't want to continue working with defense force. One of the voicelines S11 has is calling out Anby's name when switching to her. That's when I realized there's something going on between them

It's still odd how they portrayed both Anby and Soldier 11 as these emotionless soldiers, but not H.A.N.D. for example. It was never mentioned that Obol Squad was so elite that they required tougher training than void hunters for example. Also, I still hold out hope by my theory because gameplay-wise it'd be weird having Anby and Silver Anby on the same team, as in terms of lore that wouldn't exactly make sense (as of now). But hey, we'll find out for sure when that version drops. :)

The easter eggs always hint of them having a certain relationship/familiarity but never has been biological clones. Upcoming story would probably Anby going on a solo special mission by herself, Nicole notices what's up and says the comment you mentioned.
My theory is that Soldier 11 and Anby come from a long line military family and its in their tradition to join the Force to defend New Eridu
But Anby left that and instead join the Cunning Hares, which in the eyes of the law, are group of criminals
And soldier 11 despised her for that

This story is so amazing. It can really beat out the aspect of the game how you can just dig deeper and deeper to find more. Loving the direction so far over the years it’s gonna be amazing.
I mean I remember the old trailers of Soldier 11 which everyone seems to forget or miss, the inner voice/memory giving Soldier 11 advice like a mentor was Anby her voice. Which is a REALLY big detail too.
But besides the trailer with her training and not the one where she was chased is somehow much more known, while the other is completely missed.

Anby deserted because the unit she and 11 were in were committing atrocities. Something that 11 is well aware is wrong. But whereas Anby went rogue because of them and doesn't try to justify them, 11 copes by justifying them as necessary sacrifices and a sense of loyalty.
I think her hatred for traitors is a coping mechanism to justify the atrocities she's been party to.

My head canon before the drip marketing was she was framed as a traitor and got kicked out and was given a bounty eventually she was pronounced dead by the obol squad after another soldier was mistaken for her she soon met Nicole and that was that
I still think they're clones, from some sort of secret military black project. Anby was the first (which is why S11 calls her Soldier 0), and Soldier 11 is the 11th iteration, which is why she looks ever so slightly different and has a different voice. Them all being clones technically makes them sisters, and that's probably how they treated each other when they were all in the program together, before Anby defected. This is also kind of reinforced by the conversations we get in the Ridu's Got Boo event with Soldier 11, where we talk about new years traditions, and she says "they" told her that a normal new years tradition is to go into Hollows and blow up ethereals, which she now realizes might've been just something "they" said to get them to cull more Ethereals. Implies she grew up without parents in a really weird, militaristic environment and didn't know anything else until very recently.

Since Vlad and Mockingbird are the only things that can manage to make him lose his poise and that there is many hints that Lycaon keeps suppressing his agression, I could definitely see it happen. Even moreso with Lycaon being the most popular male character by far, so much that he keep appearing in speaking cutscenes even though the VA is still missing
I think Anby´s actually buffing herself with her music rather than nerfing. Sound Frequencies have had influences on Ether from the very start. (You can especially see that with how Astra can kinda control Ether with her singing.) Look at how the ballet Twins react to the music box. They also Sing. And then there is the fact that W-engines use music the boost your combat capabilities. (Explained by Anby in the early game) and Drive Discs are the literal songs that the W-Engines play. So she's buffing herself with the music.
Likely Anby doesn't wants to be Goverment's lap dog because she is a free spirit.

In Soldier 11's lore trailer video, Anby can be heard drilling things into her head, and there's comments about Anby and drill sargeant. Soldeir 11's hatred of burgers also suggests that there's some bitter feelings towards Anby, like maybe she's mad that she left the military.
