    Nice to see (a piece of) the Boston branch of this train. Most trip reports terminate or originate in NYC.

      I've taken the train all the way to Boston before, unfortunately i didn't film much of it in horizontal so it wouldn't be able to make a video on it. i think i uploaded a few shorts containing bits of the trip.

    Those were familiar sights. I take the Lake Shore once or twice a year. I like to reserve business class if it's available; it's usually not too much more expensive than coach and is more comfortable. Also, I was on the Lake Shore a month ago, in coach, and there indeed was WiFi. I made a lot of use of it. 🙂

      @@jayducharme oh really,?I guess it depends on where you sit or where the train is because I had no wifi at all whenever I take it.

      nope. ONly reason Amtrak took control was that CSX wanted to abandon that section.

    The tracks between Schenectady and Albany are owned by Amtrak.

      @@kzooaviation no. CSX was going to abandon that section of track, so Amtrak bought it.

    The Horseshoe Casino is in Hammond, in NORTHWEST Indiana. Sorry but poor, inaccurate information. The South Bend station is 2 miles from the Airport and about 5 miles from downtown, which is not "FAR".

      That's my mistake for the typo, by far I was referring to more of a walking distance as most people taking the train places don't have a car at their destination and might not want to get an Uber. Thanks for your comment!

      @bwcbiz 26 дней назад +1

      @@kzooaviation Well 2-5 miles is at least bikeable, but I suspect South Bend doesn't have checked baggage, so carrying a bike on the train would be difficult if not impossible. The station certainly doesn't fit the ideal of center city to center city that transit advocates like to see.
