There’s one guy that has managed to use mods on ps4. So far he’s shown he can change his name, use aimbot and end the game. I don’t know what else he’s capable of but when he joins I’m gone😂
So from my investigation, most mod menus have basic abilities like name changing, aimbot, permanent UAV, and "end game". The modder does not have to be host to do these things. Few mod menus actually have the options to change ranks, and it's mostly focused on ranking up yourself, not affecting other players. It's important to know that a modder MUST be host in order to derank you. You also must be in a game with them. You cannot be deranked in the pre-game lobby, or even in private matches. If you're playing and having a good game, and then a modder joins and you get "host ended game" you do not have to sign out. He wasn't originally in the lobby and it's impossible that he's host. I don't believe they can force a host migration during a match. The derank options, as seen from this video, can actually wipe all stats and even the "time played". To be safe, sign out of PSN when something dodgy happens (green text in the killfeed, the screen suddenly goes black like you got a lost connection to host, or "host ended game" comes up.
