Looking good! I'm so happy for you, congratulations. I have a tip for the kitchen, organizing the dishes to be super close to the dishwasher and sink has saved me tons of time effort and energy. Seems like a small thing but the less effort to cook and clean is all the better. And the fridge/pantry are already together so unpacked groceries and pulling things out for meal prep is easy. In other words, set up zones in the kitchen.
In the short term, you can order an accent cabinet/table for a coffee bar where you plan to put cabinets later. It will provide extra storage and there are some cute ones for a couple hundred.
hey Selena, to answer your quest from the chat: my house was a new build in the Montauk area of Long Island NY and pre-move in my older sis suggested i set up my Housewarming Registry for my top 3 brands/shops 6 mo before, and girl it helps so much. after moving in thanks to the registries i already had essentials like bath, kitchen, bedrooms ( its a 3 level townhouse-3 bed, 2 +half bath). we did flooring first before the main furniture pcs arrived. overall, i settled in comfortably and stress free within 3-4 months. you got this sis!!1 so happy for you👏🏼💛🤩🥳
Yeahthats the perk of getting a new build, You have months in advance to prepare for things like that 🥹 since I found my house and moved in within the month, it all happened so quickly and Ive only made the Amazon registry. Plus I didn't want to add anything too expensive to it, so it is what it is. 🥹 I'm glad you were able to settle in so quickly! I have a feeling it will take me arleast a year.
I am really happy for you! What an accomplishment!!!!😊 Love your kitchen. It start to look so clean, cozy and beautiful. I cannot wait to see the whole house decorations! God bless you and your family. Kisses from a French girl living in London....eh!
I agree with the microwave texture. That’s why I have a tiny bowl of water when I microwave my food so it has moisture during heating or a wet paper towel covering the food works too especially when it comes to reheating rice 😅
the cozy vibes! love love love it selena! ❤i just love seeing the house come together - congrats again beautiful! also, i think burgerville is only a pacific NW thing so yay for us! (but it also took us YEARS to fiiiiinally get an in-n-out and shake shack in oregon so i guess it evens out? 😅) my hubby always looks forward to their seasonal walla walla onion rings 👍🏻 (for me it's all about their seasonal rosemary truffle shoestring fries 😍)
I'm sorry to hear about your back! Hope it's healing up well ♥ I'd love to hear more about how you're feeling about moving -- is it starting to feel like home?
yessss, i love!! coffee and bagel just hits hahaha I'm trying to have more protein so I've been adding in egg bites as of lately, or sometimes I'll add protein to my coffee :p
Ooooooh Burgerville sounds so good 😭 the closest one is like two hours from me in Centralia but it’s so worth the drive! I had a conference there this spring and was so excited to get Burgerville for dinner!
I'm loving all the house content! It's been really inspiring me to make buying a property of some kind a goal of mine :) I'm really happy for you!! I wanted to ask how you've been liking the air fryer and toaster?? I'm considering buying them myself since both of those need replacing soon 👀
❤❤❤ LOL I am the same way about showers!! I have to keep the bathroom door open and its somewhat terrifying smh that's why I prefer to take baths cause I can hear everything outside the bathroom and don't have my eye closed and water running over my ears lol
Not sure if it has been suggested, but HD has wooden closet poles that are inexpensive. I had the same strange problem in my home. The holder on the left side of the closet is upside down, btw.
Can I ask where did you purchase the tall glass you made your coffee in , in the last part of this video? Al’s what was the ingredient s of the coffee drink you made? I love how everything is comming along
i'm curious if you and your bf considered turning the downstairs into a primary suite since it has a bathroom attached? I think it could really be a relaxing space but def understand if you have other plans
It’s an option for years down the road maybe once we’re married, but for now we both like the idea of having a second large living space where we can lounge and have family/fries over for games/movie nights. I don’t really get the appeal of a large “sleeping room” bc that’s what a Bedroom is for me. Just a space to sleep and rest and change. The rest of the day I do all my activities in my house living spaces, so idk; but we both agree on that and it’s what we envision for the near future.
I'm sure you have mentioned it in another vlog but have I got it right when I say that you have bought the house (alone) but you and your boyfriend are going to live there together? Just curious :) Actually really exticed for the coffee station :D haha
This might be nosey and super personal to ask, so feel free to ignore, but would you ever go into why your bf and you decide to sleep in separate rooms? Also does he help you pay rent? The ONLY reason I ask is because my ex and I had the exact same dynamic and the amount of double standard reaction I get was so annoying to deal with, esp since in the past, I've been broke and bummed it with ex's before who had their own man cave and practically slept in different rooms. I was fine with it because guys SNORE loudly sometimes and I'm a super light sleeper. Plus my ex woke up at 4am for work. I didn't wake up until 8 and I'd constantly wake up because I'd hear him move around, shower, etc. I know it's none of my business but I wish more women would be open about this topic because it feels isolating when society keeps putting up that double standard wall. Even with my current partner, I would 100% get my own room if we had the space. I just find that refreshing to know you're not just another woman influencer who flaunts her husband's house and husband's money around because I just cannot relate to that.
The limited edition crew was literally made for you it’s GIVING
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! The color is perfect, and so so cozy :')

The kivik ottoman is the best! We push it into our couch and it makes it a little bed for movie nights 😊
Miss you already! 😭😭😭😭 I love this merch and your friendship!
Me too 🥹

ooooh yes the moisture is necessary when re-reating rice, for sure!

Air Fryer is the best all around especially for reheating food. Leftovers taste fresh 🤞🏻
I agree 🥹 for most foods!! Exceptnsouos and liquids unfortunately
@@SelenaTrevino agree definitely not liquid

Yeah its annoying! I think in the vid I pointed that out too. But yeah I've considered
The rods buti def need shelves 🥲
Its called replenishing your needs!
Literally watching this vid while I shave my legs in the shower with one of those cases! Also you can swap the direction of the doors pretty easily ❤❤

Yes! didn't make sense for him to rent an apartment alone in the city and drive over every day and then drive home late at night.
❤❤❤

So you and your boyfriend are living together but sleep in separate rooms? This is an interesting dynamic
Very interesting
