This was one of the best short films I have seen so far. I am thinking there are 3 possibilities. The first is that he may be schizophrenic and the blond girl is a voice in his head. Or the second possibility is that he could have developed a split or multiple personality disorder and the blond girl is another personality which would explain why he can see her and she is real to him and she is not just a voice he hears in his head like he would if it were just schizophrenia. She could be a personality that developed during whatever it was that had happened to him in the past - which they never really did explain - but it must have been some type of tragedy or traumatic event that could have made him develop another personality to help his mind cope with whatever it was that had happened to him. She could be a really strong personality and that is why she started showing up more and more, trying to dominate him and run his life and he seemed to be looking for a way to get rid of her. She also seemed to appear more after he took his medication though. But after snorting the cocaine in the bathroom he became paranoid, aggressive and psychotic and the blond taunted him relentlessly to kill her and then the other girl. He must have felt that he could get rid of her for good and it would also shut her the Hell up once and for all, so he took her up on her offer by knocking her upside the head and whacking her with the golf club a few times. As well as how cocaine and other drugs can actually make the disorder worse.
