Im a new shooter. Getting a lesson was the best thing i did. However, I will agree with the girl in this video. "The more you do it the more comfortable you'll get with your gun. Lady's i know its nerve wracking to go to the range alone, but really, like your first day on the job, consistency makes for better performance and confidence. Im 44 yrs young, have a Taurus g2c (snappy little B...) and I never shot a gun before. I hated my gun , dreaded the range, but I do it so that I can safely, protect my family of ever i need to. Practice at home, practice at the range, practice practice practice. You will be amazing
Absolutely a must. I can't express more than that. Practice the essentials first and get accustomed to using your fire arm. So important.. thanks for doing this video..
People seriously undervalue the importance and benefits of dry fire! In regards to familiarization with gun manipulation, snap caps is also a great investment. I will say, the best part of the strikeman is the seeing the model on the package. Seeing him on the box inspires confidence and other feelings...but I probably can't mention those feelings here. LOL!

I'm glad I watched! I've shot before but could see I had some bad habits and was shy of the recoil. I will practice what I learned today and see if I improve. Maybe actually hit the target... Stay safe, all!

Is that normal to shoot with one eye open and one eye closed. Or when shooting you should try to shoot with both eyes open?? Which is the correct way. Thank you again

I'm a beginner intermediate shooter. You showed how to hold the gun and you put your left index finger on the slide. The slide is a violently moving part when the shell fires, and I've heard many YT stories where newbies sliced their fingers on the edge of the slide, requiring stitches. Can you further explain why you're placing your index finger against the moving slide, which could potentially injure the shooter?
Your index finger is on the frame above the trigger and below slide. Also note... your index finger moves to the trigger and pulls it, so when the gun fires it will not be near the slide. Y
You said you always have to treat to gun like it's loaded. I understand what you're saying I do but I also want to tell you that if there is no bullets in the gun and you would fire it it. Would make a noise and it wouldn't do anything but I do know what you're saying. The sound that a gun makes without bullets is very interesting. It's like you can't forget to sound
He didn’t really explain it properly. It is a mental practice to help you remember to always check your gun, it only takes one mistake to cause damage. When someone hands you a firearm, you should check it yourself even if you know it is empty. Just like the Karate Kid, wax on-wax off. It only takes a few seconds to do, weapon safety is top priority.

Very informative, I'm a new shooter & before I ever fired a gun i educated myself on gun safety.
Watch the “slide”. It can be painful if your fingers are around it when you fire.

What he meant was to always ALWAYS treat every gun as if it IS loaded. Even if you know that you KNOW that you know it isn’t.
