Custody and preservation of Culture and Heritage is primarily prerogative of the Goverments. Artists welfare by means Provident fund, Health Insurance and Retirement benefits should be taken care by the Government. Yakshagana is a rich art but not a organized sector like other Industry. State in Consultation with the Center should evolve a plan to retain this rich art which showcases the civilization , culture and heritage of Bharat. This art was encouraged and promoted by Vijaya Nagar Empire through Barkuru Kingdom of Coastal Karnataka. State Government should act proactively by supporting the Institutions which are promoting Yakshagana. It is unfortunate that so far none of Yakshagana Troupes were encouraged by facilitating Rajyothsava awards.
Strongly feel every yakshagana audience should hear this interview to know the difficulty faced by the owners or the sangatakas,thereby helping them to save our art by patronising yakshagana to maximum extent.

A bit of distracting and irritating experience too.. .ಸಂದರ್ಶನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿರುವರು ಮಾತು ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೊದಲೇ ಕೆಲವು ಕಡೆ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕರು ನಡುವೆ ಅವಸರ ಪಟ್ಟು ಬಾಯಿ ಹಾಕಿದುದರಿಂದ ಹಲವು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಗಳು ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಹೊರಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಅನಿಸಿತು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಲವಾರು ವಿಚಾರಗಳು ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಇವೆ ಅನಿಸಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಸಂದರ್ಶನ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ..ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿ..
ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನ ಕಲೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯುವ ಈ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗನೂ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಕರಿಸಬೇಕು. All the best Deepak Sir....
