No fear in Victory's at all. Polaris is the parent company and they made Victory's for for 18 years so I don't think you will have any parts issues for a long time. Any chance I can pay too much for one of those "dope" t shirts ?

Jon's Moto Garage I have the ‘09. Pretty much stock (except an overdrive pulley). I really love it when I can get a chance to ride it. It still gets a lot of stares (as I live a mile from a HD place). I think the Vics are the kind of bike you can keep and own until its day is through.

Motorcycles are a very niche product, especially in today's market, Polaris would be competing against themselves and lose money. They were smart to move to the Indian name. They sold more bikes in their, I think first year than they did the entire 8 years they had Victory. Doesn't mean they can't make chopper looking bikes coming later.

    • @luiscipher4855
      @luiscipher4855 3 года назад +8

@@user-qr7ee2cp4y They could not keep both. Harley gets government support for keeping the heritage brand alive. Polaris wanted the same thing with INDIAN but was told that even though Indian qualifies for the same treatment as HD, they would not give Polaris money so they could pour it into Victory's development, and since there was no way to convince them otherwise, Victory had to be killed in favor of Indian taking it's place. It's all about money. I've heard it from a Victory dealer who was selling me some parts at reduced prices afterwards... Sad.

Victory is always going to be value for money. Parts are always going to be there (by law for 10yrs). The Victory club is always going to be there. If history is any lesson a previously loved Victory is always going to be more dependable than a new Harley. I'm always going to own and ride one. I know where there are some nice shinny new ones so my next new bike will be a Victory, as well. Nothing, but nothing sounds like a Victory. I ride mine just to listen to it, it's just that sweet.

2011 Victory Vegas (candy apple red), my very first bike, purchased this year and I love it! Just purchased the Highball handle bars, black mirrors and black light as I swap from chrome to all black, will be swapping out the pipes this winter. Already installed a Mustang seat and 4" forward control extension as I'm 6'4" tall. Seven years to go so I'm not concerned about parts availability however maybe Polaris will sell the rights on or reintroduce Victory in limited format under the Indian name? Who knows? Victory has been a fantastic bike to ride for someone my size as a new rider. My Polaris dealer has also been very supportive in helping out a newbie, as I don't swing a wrench for fun. Victory forever, happy riding everyone! Enjoy the channel, keep up the good work!

I had several different bikes including VTX 1800, HD Vrod, Yamaha V star etc... When I bought my first Victory I was super happy. They are the best bikes, powerful, and incredibly smooth. I had victoy Jackpot and Victory Hammer S. No issues with either of them for 7 years, except only one broken clutch line. That can happen. I'm watching this video because I'm buying 2013 Hammer 8 ball next week. I'm excited again.
I don't understand why people would say not to buy one, I'd say quite the opposite! Buy one if you can find one. Polaris still makes all parts available and promised another decade of direct production of parts. Then will outsource the parts to other companies.

Have a 2013 victory highball myself and say the exact same thing. Get one while you can. The bikes will eventually be extremely hard to find yes but parts I don't think will ever be an issue. I don't think the bikes will appreciate in value rather the appreciation for one will become greater as years go on. Witch doctor has tons of stuff ready to go and just ordered a couple things from a shop in Iowa that was cheaper than witch doctor.

Love love my Victory... own more than a few bad‐ass bikes and love my Victory! Would definitely buy again. SOLID bikes.. Very fun quick fast bike. I have 2 relatives that also bought Victory. Mine is a Victor Judge and they have a Victory Gunner and a Victory Vegas Jackpot. The Vegas Jackpot is the slower of the three but still very much a fast quick fun great looking bike. None of us thankfully have ever needed parts to fix any problems / issues with our Victory's. Victory built its bikes strong / solid! All parts that we have ordered/purchased were to do custom work on our bikes. It's always been very easy to get Victory parts from Victory as well as the dealership. Victory did promise their Victory owners / buyers that we will be able to get All Victory parts from Victory without any problem through 2027 if not beyond that date but for sure through 2027. So far we're seeing that promise being kept. I'm hoping everyone else is also.

Don't like the cheap 'click bait' but love the vid's Jon. Your Vid Title should be: 'Buy low now, sale high later'. When market panic ends prices will go up because they have a following and as you pointed out; parts are available ten years for both after market and OEM. Just bought my 2015 Victory Vegas 8 ball yesterday off auction dirt cheap. Had a Triumph Trident, I called it "my every other weekend bike" because i would take it out one weekend, and fix it the next. So far I love this bike. Not too loud, solid and balanced footing, reliable engine and electronics, fun and easy cruiser with cheap upgrades available straight out of the box. Definitely beats the Harley that left me too broke for upgrades. Felt like I was just feeding my ego and paying for a name with little pay off.

This reminds me of something a buddy of mine told me about fifteen years ago: He had a Yamaha V-Star which he had ridden for about a year, then he bought a Hayabusa which he loved. About another year later he had to do some plumbing repair on a commercial building he owned, and he didn't want to borrow money from a bank, so he decided he'd sell one of the bikes to pay for some of the parts (he did the labor himself). He said he wanted to ride then both to decide which one of them he wanted to keep, and which one he wanted to sell. He said he got up one morning and took the Hayabusa for about a twenty mile ride, then he took the V-Star for a ride. He said he got about four blocks down the street and he pulled over to see if the tires were flat (which they weren't). Needless to say, he sold the V-Star.

Come 45-50,you won't be that eager to shift bikes .I am already thinking of cutting down to one bike .
How do you manage servicing all your bikes?

For sure! I need to rearrange the bicycles to free up some space. Good looking out! I buy/sell (side hobby). So, I don't end up putting tons of miles/servicing the majority.

I love the 8-Ball. Always loved Victory bikes. I had a Raider, and LOVED that bike. I stiiiilll miss it. Mine was a lemon, the very rare Yamaha lemon. Kept leaking oil at the pushrods, and after several long trips to dealers (none really close to me), none could fix this bike. I traded it after the last long ride to a dealer, and not getting it fixed. Such a shame, and now Yamaha only makes, what, one cruiser? I've had many bikes, cruisers, sports, nakeds...and now have a "small" for me cruiser, the 2013 VT1300 Honda Sabre. It's a good bike, I actually like it.

Anyone who says you can't get parts for a Victory dosen't know what their talking about. Witch Doctors, Ebay, Amazon, The Vic Shop. I road a couple different Harleys over the years and they always needed something, had to carry extra oil with me, shitty brakes, crappy suspension and don't handle that well. You buy a Harley your paying for a Name. I road a Victory Hammer 100ci in 2006 while in-between deployments and I fell in love. Tons of power dual disc brakes in the front with Brembo Calipers all around, stainless steel braided brake lines, big ol 250 rear tire, handled awesome. I bought it then and there and at the time the 100ci was the biggest engine available from any company at the time. Still have it has aftermarket triple tree's raked 20degrees over stock, RMD Angry pipes, Loydz fuel commander 3rd Gen, K&N air filter, dynoed and tuned and smokes every Harley even my buddies Vrod which is only 1300cc has a 180 rear tire, mine is 1638ccs. Every Victory looks like a custom bike. They have better styling, better handling, better brakes, better engines, more comfortable, both Arlen and Corey Ness made their own editions on some models. The newer bike have the 106ci 1737cc engine. My 02 Yamaha YZF-R1 1000cc with a power commander 3, K&N air filter, Voodoo header and GP Shorty exhaust which is insanely fast she tops out at like 195mph. If I was to race my Hammer against the R1, I think the Hammer would do alright off the line but the R1 would get it in the end. Polaras never should've pushed the Indian line as hard as they did, they focused more on getting Indian back in the game than keeping Victory in the game a bike that could definitely compete with Harley Davidson, a bike that so many people loved a lot of guys switched from Harley to Victory. No ones switching from Harley to Indian.

As an owner of a 2013 Victory Cross Country with 62.5k problem free miles on it. Seriously, I just completed a 2100 mile twisty road tour of W. Va, with my wife & luggage aboard and I'm still on the, rock solid, original clutch.... Its an amazing machine that can corner way better than a bike its size should and with a basic stage 2 up-grade pulls like train. But as much as it "PaiNs" me I would not buy another Victory. Not having a true dealer network and 10 year parts supply law or not, getting factory parts is already iffy business, the aftermarket is drying up as well. Plus there is a major lack of support form Polaris for Victory owners, Pappa P. just wants Victorys to disappear.... On the other hand, I'm on my Vic until the wheels fall off. Its one of my favorite, most capable motorcycles( I've been through many). So I'm looking forward to more years and adventures with it

I want my next bike to be either a Highball or a Vegas 8-Ball. I just love 'em. I'm not sure if the discontinuation of Victory is going to drive the prices crazy when I'm ready to buy my next bike, but that's what I'm looking forward to. Let me start by saying this is one fantastic bike.Being a mechanical engineer,I researched the mechanicals of 106 cu.in.victory motor vs.,at that time, A 103 Harley motor. Harleys design is antiquated ,complicated , and a nightmare to service . My 8 ball 106 is bullet proof AND was 6 to 8 THOUSAND LESS NEW . I have not regretted that purchase. Hey Jon I once bought a 2013 Victory judge after 7 years of owning my 06 superglide. I bought the Victory Judge as a second bike for something different. It was a toss up between the judge and an F6 b that had just been released. In hindsight I wish I bought the Honda as I grew to really hate the Victory. My main gripe was theJudge was so uncomfortable and the handling was really bad. The engine would also get so hot at traffic lights my legs felt like they were on fire. I know it’s air cooled but my Harley’s have never felt that bad. To be fair there may have been a model better suited for me but I will never know now as in Australia they can’t give them away since they stopped making them.
