My father didn't uttered a word at my result. whereas the next mornings he took me to barber shop and got mee a buzzcut. Firstly he asked the barber to buzz the top as small as possible 😢 and not to cut the rest .
If I was you I would get the front to be the same length as the back so it is all even. And without undercut you can go shorter, so the hair length is between the top and bottom of the ear and maybe with a fringe too. It will be shorter but will look better.
