    A note about fusiliers:
    1) - Upgrading the g43 package right away fills up both inventory slots and gives you 3 g43s, HOWEVER if you pick up a weapon BEFORE upgrading you can still upgrade to g43 package although you will only get 2 g43s instead of 3. Since fusies do about the same damage as volks at long range you can keep one squad unupgraded and wait for a drop for extra strong fusies or upgrade shrecks when tanks come out.
    2) - When you upgrade to double shrecks you lose your vehicle snare ability. If you lose a shreck or pick up another weapon you can upgrade a single shreck for half the cost. Since the double shreck upgrade is actually what removes the snare ability if you pick up a shreck from somewhere else you can buy the single shreck package and keep your snare ability, thus giving you double shreck elite infantry with a snare :D.
Have fun and don't tell lelic.

Later number of AT rifles was increased from 2 to 3 and was increased it's accuracy.

My main faction is Ostheer and main doctrine is elite troops so here are some tips for G43 grens
People don’t expect grenade from you, you will be surprised how often it will be a hit. Since at early-mid game there a lot of light cover that doesn’t block 50%of grenade damage like heavy does it will cost your enemy a lot to make up for that grenade.
Since G43 is better for close to mid range you want to play grens more aggresive. For urban maps you will need less pzgrens, for mid range maps G43 would be more versetile. Grens cost 240, riflemen - 280, shtrafnimi 300 so you have usialy one squad more than the enemy - use it for flanking since G43 gives you a better results in mobile war than mg42.
Don’t overeatimate your power - G43 for grens are good - buff for recieved accuracy and less debuff while moving plus grenade gives you confidence but you shouldn’t fight 1v1 against CQB or long range specialists. Combined arms vs specialized is key
Interogation - it’s nice to pinpoint sniper/tank/mg/mortar location. Use this info with combination of your mobile fighting power to shut down biggest threats or avoid them. Also only YOU get that info on you map, you have to type in chat pr tell in discord yo your allies what you. Don’t forget to switch to tactical map - it will show units icons for better info.
If you play as storm doctrine - use g43 for ambushes. If you play Jager - don’t forget to bring 1-2 jager squads. If ypu play elite troops - you stormtroops can both wipe backline infantry and weapon crews or help in cqb in full army assault. Plus use stun grenads to stop enemy squads from entering cover, locking cqb units to increase distance or just damage them, lock enemy squads in buldings for rocket arty or grenade barage from multiple squads or stoping at crews from escaping.
G43s are good on all situations exepct long range WW1-style static shootings

      not entirely correct.
PGrens get 3 just as well as Stormies do.
PGrens on vet1 also gain the combined arms passive that drops their received accuracy when near a vehicle, even be it a half-track, while also unlocking the mark-target ability.
In his tests he never factored that passive in when using Pgrens, where Penals got their passive bonus counted (less fighting-power drop when losing models by buffing the rest)

One thing to consider regarding pgrens is that vet 3 (full acc bonus kicking in) makes a big difference comparing it vs g43 widening the gap between the two significantly in favour of stg. Even more so with ambush bonus.
I played a lot with Jaeger inf doc about a year ago (before it was 🔥) with double pioneer and mg into pgrens and my assessment was that g43 was seldom worth it. Especially not on vetted units. They lose to much dps.

But doesnt the full vet 3 acc bonus make it worthwhile? I mean nearly 100% hitrate up to mid range and 80% hitrate to far with only 80% moving acc and 16dmg doesnt sound too bad. Especially in combination with the sight bonus. I mostly play the same strat as you and i think G43 are quite worthwhile tbh.

the problem with g43 grenadiers is their fucking accuracy. What do you mean they have %42 accuracy at long range and %48 accuracy at mid range with a SCOPED G43?
even Normal grens with kar98 have %59 accuracy at long range
i vsed normal kar98 grenadiers and g43 grenadiers at long range and at green cover,NORMAL GRENS WON....
they really need buff the accuracy and maybe they can revert received accuracy because it doesnt matter if you cant even hit your target with a semi automatic SCOPED rifle unless you are at shotgun range xddddddd.
but when we look at the g43 panzergrens the things change.Panzergrens with g43 s are actually really fucking good because their accuracy.is %61 at long range(yes it really matters).Compare it to %42 accuracy!
and yes you may think g43 upgrade isnt a necessary upgrade for panzergrens because stg44's are good enough to fuck the imperialists or communists and your short range damage decreases a little bit(g43's are still good at short range too,vet 3 panzergrens have %109 accuracy at close range and g43 inf fires MUCH faster when shooting from close range)but your long range damage increases much more.

I could be wrong, but I believe when the game had just been released, Panzergrenadiers had MP40s instead of the StG44. At least I remember zooming in on them and seeing that, and was later surprised they had a different weapon some patches later. Or maybe my memory is faulty. But I think the PZs were relatively worse combat units at first, which meant upgrading them with the G43 made them so much superior, it ended up being my go-to strategy, and could deliver a shock to my opponent when he realized how dangerous they suddenly became.
I think it's a lot better balanced now, also because people now know what each faction can bring. But early on, oh boy, just having camoflage was a game changer in so many cases. No one expected the guerilla Wehrmact force.

OP? Far from it. Bigger likelihood of being dropped and you need more then one of them typically for it to be good. And it is locked behind tech.

It's not particularly balanced. The penals remain competitive for one reason: PTRS counters 222 rush.

You can directly compare the weapons of two different infanteries in one graph with serealia.
Select first infantry, then switch to second infantry and click on requested weapon. Instead of moving perfomance, you get the comparison of both weapons.

@@tightropegaming Hey, I noticed you compared two different weapons from the SAME infantry like in 0:37. In 01:23, you switch between tabs to compare grens with commandos instead of comparing their DPS in one graph. I did not notice this in you video. Just a tip. Great video by the way. Only this missing is how a combat would end if you start to move backwards away with a G43 squad from a close range squad ;)

When using vetted infantry against one another you might want to use a gun-disabled vehicle (like a 251) near Pgrens to allow their combined arms passive, as penals for example have their passive bonus always factored in as well

    • @tightropegaming
      @tightropegaming  3 года назад +1

The penal bonus is always active, the pgren one is probably only active around 1/5th of the time in my games at least so I feel it is better to show the most common scenario.
