Usually the FEDS speciality & a federal Rico case, however, it's important to note that this is certainly not a federal Rico case carrying far higher sentences, but this is a lower lever state Rico case, which due to the complexity involved as this was predominantly used against large, powerful mafia crime syndicates often involving up to billions of dollars in organised criminality, and is incredibly rare for state Rico cases to be applied due not having a dedicated dept for such complex cases, much less the qualified personnel with which to try such crimes making this yet another hurdle for what appears to be an already out of her depth & highly disorganised prosecutor. Having watched the proceedings up to now, at this point, it's literally a crap shoot for all involved it feels, a scary feeling when facing the rest of your natural life in the big house.

Hi I don’t know if you read comments but as a defence attorney, do you find it strange how the judge continually allows the prosecution to ignore orders and violate discovery the way they have? They should have had given defence the discovery 10 days before the start of trial which in this case was January. They were still giving the discovery late October 5th which then included 300 new witnesses (that defence needed to interview and get back criminal record checks) Instagram and Twitter accounts from 2011 - 2022. There were millions of files and many other things. The judge just doesn’t care. At what point can they ask to have another judge? Brain Steel has made countless motions about the discovery and state ignoring orders for appeal purposes bc he feels he’s not able to represent his client properly. Which is convicted will surely happen. The judge seems completely biased.

What happens if a juror can't take 6 months off work to serve on a jury? I would think most people can't afford to pay their bills with no income for that long.
It took 10 months to find a jury for that reason. They would have already been weeded out if there was a hardship problem. There are 6 alternate jurors for this trial.

I was on a three day trial that we were originally told was to be 1/2 day. There were people on the jury concerned for jobs or making money. $25 a day stipend didn’t cut it. My employer paid me, except for stipend amount. Can jurors work on the weeks off of trial?

In my country there was a case where a rapper in a gang, in a music video used a weapon that had been used in a leathal shooting.
