@@matthewklaessy look there isn’t really a strong argument for you. Go ask your parents or anyone who works and pays bills and watch yourself get laughed at.
@@BandcampTT funny you say that. I work a 8-6. Is it really that hard to be happy for other people. You dense minded people man I swear you have no soul
I work a 9-5 and only recently started trying to record / create content. Both are hard, but the difference for me is that the 9-5 legit sucks whereas the content creation makes me feel good while working AND after uploading! I guess it's more personally satisfying for me to try and work in that avenue relative to the 9-5? I don't really actually know.
Keep it up. You might be the next Ninja or Soda. Just be real to your viewers and yourself. 9 to 5 is nothing to be ashamed of since the world works on that but keep dreaming. You can do it.
@ I know but live streaming makes me paranoid. I'd rather not deal even with the possibility of getting swatted or harassed IRL because of online shit. Better to avoid the possibility altogether (in my opinion)
That was a great video. I personally feel like ninja is just the biggest video game player of all time, period. What he did for the growth of gaming, even perhaps unintentionally will legitimately be studied. And the crazy part, is that I don't even think numbers alone can describe it. He made gaming cool. Before ninja and fortnite in general, gaming was looked at as "for nerds", but once fortnite blew up, with ninja at the helm, that all changed. And I know for a fact, personally, that ninja was the sole reason for me starting to watch twitch in general. I had to see this amazing fortnite player who everyone was talking about, do it live. I'm really curious what twitches overall viewership before, and after the fortnite boom was, it had to have just exploded. And not only did ninja see amazing success, but tim, courage, nick mercs, all the big guys streaming at that time, saw their channels 5-10x in viewership. And not to mention ninja's streaming deal, which opened up the door for other streamers getting similar deals, which is a pretty well know negotiation tactic in sports etc. But then him doing jimmy kimmel and all these things, which to this day I don't think many, if any, video game streamers have done. Can't say enough good stuff about this guy.
the low taper fade meme is still MASSIVE and i mean MASSIVE. im seeing new ones i havent seen before, they have MILLIONS of views, everyone is remixing it, i see it on my for you page, its still MASSIVE
Streaming is way easier, you can just block assholes, but you gotta put up with them irl, you’re not being bossed around when streaming, you do what you want, and even if you have a contract for x amount of hours or to stream y content, you still have a dozen more degrees of freedom than the guy who can choose between flipping paddies or frying chicken. Streaming is maybe harder for someone who does it 20 hours a day and make 10$ in donations, but outside of that, like you top 0.01%, it’s way easier.
Well then that just depends on how many views you have at the moment. The issue with starting off streaming versus starting off in a 9-5 is that you're at least guaranteed a sum amount of money in your 9-5, but that's not the case with streaming. Also, you're taking the worst parts of 9-5 and piling them up against being a 0.01% streamer, gotta make it consistent.
@@gem8500 there’s a precondition for this argument to make even remotely any sense, both the streamer and the person in the 9 - 5, have to be making a liveable wage, anyone who streams as their main source of income, and makes less than minimum wage, is an idiot. No streamer, ends stream and goes to their 9-5 as a way to destress and have fun. Yet it is done the other way around, why? Because it’s easier, and they want it to take off, so they can stop doing their 9-5.
There's no doubt that streaming can be "better" in some ways, but is it harder? Absolutely. If you think streaming is easy, I challenge you to quit your current job and start streaming full-time.
@@traceunlocked Assuming there's any payoff to begin with. From personal experience, I tried streaming for about a year and got nowhere. I've also seen countless others streamers stream for years without ever turning it into a source of income. One channel I came across had over 10,000 videos uploaded over six years but barely managed to surpass 10,000 subscribers. Even worse, most of those subscribers didn’t seem to engage with the content-his videos only had a couple of hundred views, likely from bots crawling RUclips, as there were no comments. The reality is, you can grind endlessly and still fail to make progress in the streaming world. To succeed, you basically need to be either a borderline stand-up comedian or exceptionally skilled at whatever game you're playing.
Seeing ninja now after watching him play halo over 10 years ago as a kid is uncanny. Can’t believe it’s the same person and you’d never have guessed he’d ever become this famous
Loved both the podcast and the questions! What a down to earth dude, would love to play golf with him tim and cloak, hitting bombs and throwing back sneaky teas!!

Is streaming earning millions a month better than a conventional job? what a question lad lol
