I believe it was between 1958 and 1962. The line via Rainham went electric before the Upminster line. Electric services to Southend Central commenced in 1961 and to Shoeburyness in 1962.
We have filmed the vast majority of routes in the republic. We did try to arrange one further shoot, being the freight flow from Tara Mines but sadly we have been unable to arrange this. We would also have like to film the remaining routes in Northern Ireland but our requests have been turned down. So the answer is no I am afraid.
@@HenrysAdventures It is most unlikely that we will ever film in Ireland again I am afraid. This is due to much higher commercial and favoured routes elsewhere in the world.

honestly, this has to be my fav livery on a c2c train! this is also a very scenic route at Southend too!
one thing I do noticed that this class 357 emus has got the same face as the class 170 and the 171 turbostars

I've got this one, it's well worth buying although I'm slightly disappointed the Pitsea to Upminster section via Basildon was left out.

but the difference is the class 170 and 171 dmus are diesel locos whilst the class 357 is the electric loco
