Every time I see Ro just living a normal life and being able to be a person I just get so proud. Like my first thought is always just “Frick yeah, Ro, I’m so proud of you” ☺️

this is so interesting to me because my fears were pretty much the opposite of yours. i was terrified beyond belief about even seeing friends and family and only found comfort in doing things by myself, taking trains alone to get away from everything. brains are weird...

hi ro! I just wanted to thank you and let you know how much you've helped me and continue to help me. I am currently studying to become a school psychologist and what has driven me to do so is my own experience with mental health, both during school and now. I often find myself doubting myself because I am affected myself, but seeing you finding a purpose and educating and helping others with something that you went through always reignites that fire in me. using your own experiences is actually a strength and seeing you putting this part of your life to use and making others feel seen and help them has given me a lot of strength to keep doing what I do and what I view to be my purpose, too. so thank you for being so transparent and "you", it has a lot of impact and is so very inspiring. It has been lovely watching you from day one and being a witness to all of that progress, you can be so proud of yourself. I hope you achieve everything you aim for and continue to be such a shining presence in people's lives 🤍

You are always so calm, encouraging and realistic. I think breaking any kind of habit/behaviour is one of the most difficult things to do. I don't think many people make genuinely big changes, so watching you is inspiring as it shows it is possible :)

As soon as i started watching this video i immediately thought "wow you are glowing" your skin looks beautiful and i wish my eyes were as blue as yours. You have beautiful hair too. Love your videos. You really help me fight my own battles including ED and debilitating anxiety. Thankyou so much for everything. Do you have like a PO box or something that we can send you letters etc?

When my post-traumatic stress disorder developed, and I would have a breakdown every time I stepped outside or heard the doorbell, I thought I was severely physically ill. I didn’t understand what was happening to me. There were times when I didn’t leave my apartment for months, had groceries delivered, and studied from home. And then I came across you. I saw that I wasn’t alone in this. A huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. I think many people can’t imagine that young people who haven’t directly been victims of a traumatic event like sexual assault or war can develop this condition. Because, ‘Where would that even come from? You’re doing so much better than everyone else.’ I let myself believe that my feelings and fears weren’t valid. Accepting that this is completely different, and that many people simply can’t understand it, was difficult. This weekend, for the first time in five years, I went to a restaurant. I was scared, I was shaking, but I made it through. And for that, I’m infinitely grateful to people like you. Thank you for sharing your story so openly. I can imagine that your videos have saved lives. For my part, I definitely felt cared for and understood for the first time.

I remember when you did that walk with your dog and I felt so seen abd validated by a complete stranger. I was so happy for you that I cried.
I was in the same situation and I felt like I was going through that completely alone. PTSD is not what people think. I was even nervous to talk to my therapist about these symptoms specifically because I thought it was an extra mental illness and I didn't even want talk about it.
I couldn't park more than a few meters from the building I was going into. Sometimes I couldn't step into my own backyard or leave one room to go into another. Walking down the road I lived on was terrifying.
I'm grateful that my world has expanded so much. This was a good reminder to look back at how far ive come and it's heartwarming to know that things are getting better for you as well.

this video made me feel so seen and less overwhelmed with guilt 🥺 there are days or even weeks when going outside of my house or even my bed is SO HARD and also just waking up at a reasonable hour, and today i woke up at 9 and went outside to get bread for breakfast and it felt so good !! so my objective rn is to set a bedtime/wake up time and to stick to it !

Thank you for making this video. I've known for a while I need to start doing exposures, but obviously, they are very scary so I always avoid them, but this was a suuuper helpful place to start, and I loved that you went through concrete examples. Also, thank you so much for speaking some of your "irrational" fears out loud. Until your videos, I didn't realize other people had those same fears, even when we know they don't always make sense. Lots of love, your healing journey is so inspiring.

I also do have ptsd and an anxiety disorder which went absolutely downhills when I got diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis. I was so scared of the pain Attacks I would get, I couldn‘t leave the House for 1 1/2 Years. But my medication is working now and I am learning to Trust my Body again since it fooled me for 8 years in total. I am catching up with my a levels (i am 27) and getting to Go to university in a few years is such a big step for me! So I can totally relate to you and you can be so proud of yourself ❤️

Thanks for this video. I struggle with going out, especially on my own, because I live in a known dangerous city & was attacked last summer (in broad daylight) waiting for a bus. I have very little independence because of my ptsd. Similar fears but slightly different manifestations. I have full time care because of it and as a 37 year old it’s not great, even though I work and stuff (I work in a lived experience role in the nhs actually) I’ve always struggled with access to therapy (easier for services to keep me in care homes or have carers instead of risk therapy). In work so hard to do the things I can do, but it’s frustrating. It’s good to see someone’s journey, that with the right support things can change.

Hi Ro!! i just wanted to say that i love your videos and i think youre so inspirational. i have had anorexia for maybe 4-5 months, i know its not that long but anyway, and i weigh 47.2kg which is apparently underweight, i am also a 15 year old girl. my mum is trying to get me into recovery right now so quite early on, but i am terrified of gaining weight and i just really want to keep losing weight. she says ive gotten very slim but (annoyingly) i've looked at photos of people who are seriously anorexic and their legs dont touch at the top and they have flat stomachs. i apparently have a small stomach but i'm so insecure in my tummy, thigh and calf areas of my body and i really dont know what to do. starting from next week as well my mum is going to start making me eat more like breakfast, lunch, etc and i'm petrified. i could really use some help. lots of love

hiii dear ro, I might be completely off and if so I apologise, but it seemed to me that, during this video, you talked a lot about how you think people might think your fears were/are crazy. I hope that thought is not something that bothers you. because first off, if people think they're crazy fears, that's because they don't have to deal with them, which is good for them! second, they're not crazy, they're irrational but come from a place of hurt & pain, so it's understandable. third, this is your personal journey and I am so incredibly proud of you for everything you've accomplished over the past few years! you are a powerhouse ro, I see you & keep going! love you 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
