Already caught this one live, but just chiming in to say that I always get super psyched to see any Jak game ran during GDQ events. Its mainline nostalgia for me, and it is so cool to see them shared with the viewers.

The stages of watching Jak speedruns:
1. Oooh I remember playing this game a lot, can't wait to see it again!
2. Interesting movement and routing
3. phasing through walls
4. Jet board flying
5. Not just sequence breaking but rather assassination
6. Flying (not intentional)
7. Final boss? oh, credits already.... That 2nd half goes waaaaay faster than you'd think.

man i loved this game growing up. probably beat it 5 or 6 different times, 100%’d multiple times. i had a tech that killed the final boss in about 1 minute 24, but you just beat my record by a full 30 seconds 😂 great work and great run

Huh, I've played this game several times and never had any crashing. Surprised to hear that. Wonder if its because they're doing so many segment skips and its causing issues in the memory.

It's not unheard of to not run into any crashes. I didn't run into any playing this game as a kid. It's got some failures which causes more frequent crashes, especially if the game has been running for a while like if you're doing attempts for a few hours. It's just a part of the game but that's okay we just go again
