When we talk about British Indian Army, we have to include today's armies of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal.These armies are legacy of British Empire.
2.5 million highly disciplined soldiers alongwith unlimited resource of supplies were back-bone of Empire.
According to Field Martial Auchinleck, Britain could not have come through both wars if they had not had Indian Army.
Loss of Indian Army brought ripple effect on Britain's other possessions. Had British government negotiated a better deal with Indian leaders, Empire could hold other colonies for much longer period.

Gandhiji gave assurance to indians that if they fought in side of Britishers in world War 2 in return they will give India there independence. So it is clear that Gandhi ji violate his own principle of non violence. He oppose Subhash chandra bose way violence to get independence.
@@ashutoshsharma402 Gandhiji did this because Gandhiji thought that independence could be achieved by supporting the Britishers in ww2 but the Britishers had cheated.And the non-violence ideology came after ww2.
