I’m with you on that. I deleted my highest parsing class because it just wasn’t fun and made an off meta sorc dps. There’s just something special about theorycrafting your own build and playing how you want. Sorc offered the most versatility to how I wanted to play.

This game really does have some amazing RPG elements to it that often "MMO" players tend to overlook (myself included back in 2015 + 2017). It's a completely different way to play but I've been having a great time so far!

I know your not an alt guy but having one of every class is a daunting yet rewarding experience, It allows you to play whatever class you’re feeling that day and allows you to have a firm grasp on the meta and balance, which would give you further insight and content to make about the game, just a thought, great video man!
I just can't do it: I've got a main which I have all my best memories with regarding story content. It's just not the same the second time round.

I understand your feelings though. Been feeling burnt out on ESO lately too. Gold road gave me a breath of fresh air but now it’s back to business as usual.
Maybe I should change platforms cause I don’t have the balls to scrap my sorc 😅
LOL yea man the templars gone and it feels weird. I will say though it’s not nearly as big of a start over as switching platforms 🤷🏻♂️ been really enjoying it so far!
I've done Cadwell's gold four times already for the same reason as above. I just wanted to really experience each class.
Ive loved Gold Road a lot better than all other chapters because I actually want to 100% it. Skill styles and scribing, are the exact type of rewards I've been looking for.
For other chapters, I did the bare minimum. Collect the skyshards, group dungeon, trial, and whatever new mechanic.. class, tot, etc.
This is the first time I've felt a real incentive to do it all with gold road and because of that, I've taken my time for once to appreciate the love that went into the zone, the monsters, npcs, and stories. This is the type of reward structure ESO has been missing for people like me. Throw in some costumes, motifs, momentos, etc, and people will actually want to participate.
There's nothing worse going through a 5 hour quest, to fight a super easy boss, to get an obscure named set piece I'll instantly trash.. so i skip all the dialogue and do it as quick as I can.
Of course... I also want an overland difficulty setting, but it may be another 10 years before that happens.
First of all, I don't care what kind of videos you make. I love your style, whether you're presenting builds or just have topics to talk about. I love your Content. ❤
For me it's exactly the other way around. I would like to have a character that I can do everything with. I have 2 of each class and just can't decide which class I should make my main.
But I'm more excited to see what great videos are coming our way. Maybe I'll play the Sorcerer too. :)

Re: 4:00 mark on Fun Healer Builds
I've got 4 healers. My Necro is my main healer and definitely my strongest and go-to for vet content, then I've got a NB, Arcanist, and Templar
My NB (a Redguard) is my newest and I'm having loads of fun with it. It's really solving my burnout and if I want to play the wait times for the rando queue is practically zero. It's not meta, not even close even though the gear is carrying a lot of the weight. The healer is wearing Hollow Fang, SPC, and the Lady Thorn monster helm. The build is a blood-mage theme (may even go Vampire even though it'll make things more difficult). As a NB, the character has incredible team buffs/debuffs so the support is still there but it's not my focus. I'm mostly just running around spawning blood balls and having a blast

Underrated Eso Ytouber. Your opinion is based, so many Statements i can relate to. You seem realy chill and positiv. Especially when Talking about flaws of a Game or critique in General (Like in other Videos), people get toxic really quick and take things personal. I also appreciate that you mentioned Frostbreak. I Watch him too,his Videos are amazingly made. I Hope that it goes more in that direction, where eso content creators Support each other. Keep up (pls no magsorc one bar Builds) 🤙🏽
Really good insight man. I started to feel the burnout hardcore and have been on extended break since end of April. I love ESO and its probably my fav mmo of all time and i've played many to endgame. I too miss that new and fresh feeling that i had when i started it. The first time achievements, the first look at new / harder content or the first play through and getting used to a new class. That being said even on my main i've yet to do all the things offered in ESO but when only certain types of content excite you the vast amount that ESO has to offer in variety doesn't really scratch the itch. I know this is a problem of my own making but never the less it is the state i find myself currently in. I hope my mental block with the game passes soon because i truly have had some amazing times in ESO with some fantastic people in the community including people such as yourself. Cheers on the constant stream of quality content you provide as even though i don't play daily any more at the moment i still find myself checking out your videos regularly to stay connected and updated on what's going on in Tamriel.

I had a similar experience when I deleted my PSN back in 2020 (had a 1300CP warden) and started over on a whole new account. It reinvigorated my love of the game. Buuuuuut just be wary of the nostalgia effect. You can't really recreate that feeling 100%, but I hope you find what you're looking for!! The biggest pain was recollecting motifs...

Big thing for me is having the option to do more stuff and experience old stories I’ve 100% forgotten and making myself commit to that via deletion of other characters is the best way for my brain lol
100% get it. I can't tell you how many times I've deleted a character in order to commit to my latest race/class (my Breton warden finally stuck around for the long haul...) happy adventuring!
Damn, I am pretty much the opposite. I have 19 level 50 characters and all of them are set up to be at least somewhat usable, but none of them has done everything. I have also never deleted a character after playing them for any significant amount of time. Whenever I feel like doing something new, I give one of my lesser used characters a build makeover. Next one might be my mag sorc, who is still sitting on an Oakensoul setup, that I don't really enjoy playing.
Yea I’m all about alts for a utility purpose like I said - crafting writs, achievements, etc. but I only ever play 1 character on a regular basis. Time to switch it up for me if I want to remain excited to play the game :) thousands of hours later and there’s still a ton I can do!
When you said you deleted your Templar, my jaw fell to the floor! But I totally get it. I swapped from console to pc in October and while getting a new account together was daunting, I never had more fun than establishing my new account. I think add-ons had a lot do with it as well though, completely changed the game for me.
As a sorc main, please, for the love of the Divines, don't pollute the class with yet more one-bar builds. I challenge you to come up with some solid off meta two-bar builds. I have mine that absolutely destroys in overland and arenas that is both thematic as a mage archetype and fun to play.
I’m planning to! I’ve got lots of builds that I find fun and effective. One bar can be a ton of fun for lots of players which is why I’ll release stuff like that, but it’s a lot easier to be creative and more diverse with 2 bar builds 100% 👍🏻
I really wish the Gold Road story went longer tbh overall it was fun been getting off eso early lately because i’ve been burnt out too 😂 gotta work on my other characters yet worked on one today for now
Yea it felt super short and I really took my time with everything including collecting all the scripts. Don’t know why though honestly!

The reason for gold road being small is probably because of the how many people had to work on the housing update because of how big it is 😂, jokes aside i deleted my main awhile back (also a tenplar) and started necro, most fun i had in eso its so nice to start a main from a different perspective and rn im about to start a new main and i deleted my old sorc because i had no points on him and his whole thing is messed up so i might main sorc
Why did you need to delete your main before creating a new one?
A class change token would be amazing or, at the very least make anything you have learned show up across toons
I would absolutely love class change tokens. I have all 20 toon slots but like you said, I have a main and then i have 19 daily crafters. My main is a NB and while a lot of other classes get buffs throughout the years to keep them competitive, the nightblade, on occasion has received debuffs imo, more more often just seems to have been forgotten and not receive the love the other classes do since Elsweyr dropped. They take away our flat damage bonus :/, change the same skill 3 updates in a row lol. Really though, it is extremely apparent that the people making these changes do NOT main a nightblade at all. The NB is now just all around not as effective pound for pound as some of the others. It has great sustainability, survivability, versatility and can utilize both mag and stam pools flawlessly but at the end of the day, it does not put up the numbers needed to be taken seriously anymore in a trial setting. NB is also seen as a more solo type, single target build which I enjoy but on role support again, we are not up there with dk's and cro's when it comes to zenkosh, ec, etc. There is just no place for us anymore that another role simply cant do better.

I cannot say I relate to deleting a main character. I still have 3 saves of a Skyrim character I made in 2011 on an Xbox external drive.
My Main crafter in ESO PCNA collects all the motifs and recipe /plans / praxis etc, also does all my surveys, writs and housing... I'd never Delete Dae.
All 35 of my characters leave a job. Some overlap. PCNA where I mainly play ( on my 1st account) has 2 of each class, some 3...
ATM none of my characters are META, some are slightly off.. some like my Dunmer Warden Vamp ( ice based) are way off, but fun. Still building him btw, he's under lvl 50.. no CP as I never add it until they reach lvl50.
I know not everyone likes 1 bar builds, but I know a few people that would never be able to do vet content or PvP without them.
I love the story line, sure my 2nd and up characters click through questlines, but 1st time is always story time.
But I'm super glad you managed to get stoked about the game again.
I have over 1000 hours and JUST started housing a few days ago. Maybe just get into it to see how it is? I loathed the idea of it, but it has opened the other 50% of the game for me.
I’ve done a lot of housing in the past, it’s fun for sure! Just not a main pillar of the game for me personally 👍🏻

I'm effectively a new player and to me the housing update just looks like a gimmick get people to spend money on the crown store.
I think what I'm about to say I may have already said on one of your 1 bar videos. I said something similar on someones 1 bar video.
If you are looking for something new at some point I'd love to see a cool one bar warden that uses sword and shield, heavy armor and only uses ice powers. My favorite DnD character ever was in 3.5 with a Fighter/Mage that only used ice magic while wearing special armor made out of Blue Ice and allowed them to still cast their ice powers. Right now I use the stabbing ability to taunt, shield slam, the ice armor and ice heal along with the storm ultimate and the area effect ice blast but I'm not sure if it's a good idea or not since I'm only about level 30.
For Azura! I hope someday ALL TESO video creators ALWAYS say first in what ecosystem they play like you did in this video. TESO PC, TESO PS and TESO XBOX ARE WHOLE DIFFERENT. Yeah the game is the same but the way of play in every platform is like compare orange with apples. From market prizes to Meta Builds, from Guild requirments to Dungeon and Trial requirments, from zone chats to the way people get into pve or pvp are different experiences. I don't follow anymore PS creators except maybe two, PC just the really friendly to all systems. My main platform is XBOX and i want hear and see TESO topics and info focused in my system.

So what advantage is deleting your main? If achievements are account wide, banking is account wide what is gained? I started anew on the EU server because I wanted the complete "new" player process again because I couldn't find that on the NA Server with a dozen character toons. Would have liked to keep player guilds but seemly couldn't have both. Really enjoying the restart with a Dark Elf Arcanist Hybrid build.
Nothing is “gained” per se, it just prevents me from having anything to fall back on instead of fully focusing on the new character. Just a mental thing for me personally

Funny cuz I feel the same way with my main which is a sorc. Now I want to main night blade due to boredom of sorc. Lol I hate how sorc is meta again in PvP cuz I just can't stand running max mag sets any longer. Very boring.
You don't really need to use max mag sets, rallying cry + wretched + any monster set + sugar skulls gets you about 38-40k mag. In no CP debuffed PVP, Ward is about 9k heal 5k.
There's lots of ways to build them. Especially if you throw in something like major/minor vitality and CP, you're gonna get +33% shield strength.
Bro, your opinion about the size, lack of content, lack of purpose of gold road are the real problems with gold road and consequently the direction of the game overall. They created a purposefully small zone to save money, they created a huge grind for scribing mats and completion to fill out the fact they had a small zone with little story, and the overall balancing of the scribing skills is done because they don't have the qc or balancing department to add in actual useful skills, it made much more sense for them to make 4000 skills that were weak and let people spend months figure it out, then pushing up against the current meta line, and maybe, god forbid somebody make a skill set that doesn't require trial gear or meta gear, or god forbid p2w archanist. The more flashy the system, the less content they have to produce and the community falls for it. Greedy company, driven by metrics and profits will only provide bait and switch experiences. This happens in all mmos, and ESO works like a company running out of money, when they are making billions. I actually feel bad for the devs and the ZEN team because they all look stressed as if they have to do these really manipulative things to keep their jobs and I get the sense they want to go back to the old days where they could make a great game and have people love them for it. Instead they are making the facade of interesting systems and then facing backlash once people dig down deeper and see their shenanigans.
