The 70s when everyone was a serial killer
Thank God i wasnt born in those years those were the worst years
You don't hear about them much anymore. I think people are more vigilant & it's easier to get caught. I mean all they need to find is a hair, shoe print, fabric of clothing. They can track a printed sheet of paper out of a printer. Every printer has a microscopic symbol that serializes it came from that printer.
Literally! In the 70s my town had like 3 different serial killers going around at the same time!
I live in Wisconsin and I’m happy I was born in 2000 , we had some of the worst and creepiest serial killers like Jeffery dahmer and Ed gein, and right next door in Chicago was John Wayne Gacy, watching this stuff about them is interesting but very unsettling. I wonder how things got so out of hand for them and what killing did for them mentally like did it give them a high and euphoric rush so they wanted to keep doing it to get that rush I just don’t know .
People still get killed today alot
Officer: Why you so sweaty?
Bundy: I was watching Cops
Officer: You’re under arrest, because I know Cops doesn’t start till 4

Although I wouldn't know. Id imagine that residents of an area know whats playing at the drive in.
It doesnt take a film buff to know if a movie is playing
He was probably actually reading the paper earlier and saw the times for the drive-in. The movie Bundy popped off with was current...but not showing in podunk Utah.
If memory serves all the films playing at the drive-in that night were westerns. Also the neighborhood he was in was not far from the drive-in.
Drive in theaters use to only show two films a week at a time. Sometimes longer.

My grandmother met Ted Bundy. The story she told me was that there was a guy on the side of the road and his car was broken down and he had a broken leg. My grandmother pulled over and offered to give him a ride and he got in the car. The thing is my grandmother had her son (my dad) and 3 other boys in the backseat. And she believed that the only reason Ted didn’t do anything to her was because her son and his friends were all in the backseat of the car.
How did she know it was him

What scares me most about Bundy is that he’s charismatic and good looking. We’ve been conditioned to believe good guys are attractive and likable while bad guys are the opposite.
While it’s naive', the world feels like it makes more sense when our “psychopaths” fit our visual and cultural perspective. But he’s a reminder how anyone can be much more dangerous than you think.
Think of what you were told about Jews...

😂😂😂 wtf
Right, yeah, good one👏👏👏
deerish are you for real?
What's really freaky is this story my dad told me: When he was in college in Utah, there was a girl in his class who was worried about going out to her car after class, because her class got out after dark and Ted Bundy was out there. So, in the hallway, with everyone milling around, she asked a guy to walk her out to her car. That guy was Ted Bundy. He walked her out to her car, and she got in, drove off, and was safe, not because the guy she asked was trustworthy, but because SHE ASKED HIM IN THE PRESENCE OF OTHERS. If he'd killed her after walking her out, everyone would have known it was him. Letting it be known that she asked him to walk her out saved this woman's life. Scary and cool at the same time. (And yes, my dad is a Utah baby from Utah parents in the Salt Lake City area, so it's not this absurd thing. Salt Lake City isn't that big, and it was even smaller at the time.)
I believe it. He was VERY active in pursuing victims, & went out on frequent practice runs too - he'd try out methods to see which ones worked best.
That's why so many people have older relatives with Bundy stories.
Plus he was semi-active in local politics & was around a lot.
I'm glad y'alls kin survived!
Maybe but he also had a type, and maybe she wasn’t it. You’re probably right about it but I hear he wasn’t as smart as he thought he was.

I also learned that they linked him to some other evidence. He had bitten a victim on her breast or arm (dont remember) and they matched that set of teeth marks that was found on the body of one of his victims. He had bitten her buttcheeck and he actually took out a chunk of meat.
It's funny but comparing teeth marks to dental records are actually one of the the least reliable forms of evidence out there
Also really new at the time, it was hotly contested in his trial.
