    Hi! I am going to the exter uni coming January. Excited!
    Is there any store which is equivalent to Walmart in US to buy blankets and pillow and bed sheet cover?

    hi I'm thinking of coming to Exeter next year, I just worry about some comments I've seen that say it can be quite cliquey and 'snobbish'? do you find that most students at Exeter look down on you if you come from public education/poorer background? as I'm not from very wealthy family, and worry about arriving in halls and feeling left out/judged for it?
    please please give me any advice on this, would greatly appreciate it!

    Do you know which campus the International Year One pathway (INTO Exeter) is located in?

    Hi, I’ve applied to Old Lafrowda as my first choice because I want money for travelling to see my family and boyfriend etc. You mentioned that people kind of look down on people in Old Lafrowda ... was this a big problem? Love your videos!

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  6 лет назад +2

      Definitely not- I always go on about how much I loved Old Lafrowda!! I say that people looked down upon it more in a jokey way, because it's maybe not as "pretty" as other accommodations but most people you meet will be jealous of you being in lafrowda as it's in such a good location and it gets a lot of people applying for it! There's also such lafrowda pride when you meet other people from lafrowda- sounds odd haha but I wouldn't have wanted to be in any other accommodation! Best of luck at Exeter 🤗

    I really want to go Exeter, but I want to study Zoology, so I wld be at the Penryn campus. Do you know anything at that campus or the Falmouth area?
    I have been to the open day and loved it, however Penryn itself is kinda dead, which to be honest I don't mind, but I wld love to know if you know anything about people's experience on that campus or have you visited Falmouth town before?
    Thanks x

      Onie s-p I'm really sorry but I'm not much help as don't know anyone at the Penryn campus/ haven't been myself! If you liked the campus and didn't mind the town I'd say go for it! 😊

    I’ve applied and gotten offers for all three of these universities, but I still can’t decide which I want to go to. I’ve visited the open days for Exeter and UEA and I have an applicant day for Bath in February. But if I don’t love bath I have no idea which I want to go to! What can be final things to look up, after visiting to help my decision? 💗

      @PoppyBarr  5 лет назад +1

      I would definitely just give yourself time to think about it as you might find that after a while one starts to stand out more! I'm not sure what course you're applying for but maybe look a little more in depth at each of them to see if any of them give you the chance to focus more on an area you're really interested in. I guess if you've been to open days you'll have seen the accommodation but maybe look into that side of things more too and you could check out the uni's student unions as well, which might help you decide! Best of luck with it all 🤗

    Hi, I am going into year 13 this year and am considering Exeter as a uni for next year. I want to do a degree in psychology as well and wanted to ask if you have any advice about the university and the course

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  6 лет назад

      Abi gail I've got a few videos up where I speak about studying psychology / my experience at Exeter but I guess my main bit of advice would be to make the most of being at university and all of the additional experiences that come with it (whether that be joining a society/ socialising etc.)! Also I'd say definitely work hard in first year even though it doesn't count as it makes second and third year easier 😊 I might answer this more in a future q&a video but I hope that still helps!! Best of luck with year 13 ✨

      Ok I will defiantly check them out and thank you thats really helpful. How come first year doesn't count?

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  6 лет назад

      Abi gail I'm not quite sure the logic behind it but in most courses at most unis they don't include your grades from first year in your final grade 🤗 I guess it allows people to transition better!

    Pls can u tell more about the accommodations of uni of exter

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  6 лет назад

      I can definitely do that! I don't know much about the accommodations other than Lafrowda standard but the website has quite good 360 tours of the different rooms, which might help!

    I’m trying to decide between York and Exeter for law and I really can’t decide between them - any advice?

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  5 лет назад

      Honestly I can't really give advice between the two as I never went to York but from what I can gather they're both great uni's and beautiful cities! I think if you have the chance to visit them both again then I'd suggest that, just to see if anything stands out from one that you might've not noticed before! Also read more in depth into the courses to see if they vary at all as one course may have a module option that you're super interested in that the other doesn't offer! Sorry for not being much help, but I hope whichever you decide to go to you love 🤗

    Would you say Exeter have sorted the racism thing out?

    • @PoppyBarr
      @PoppyBarr  6 лет назад +6

      I think they're trying to - I believe all the students involved in the incident that was exposed have been excluded etc., and a few events have been held to raise awareness on racism at the uni.
