@@NikieDraws I can try my best to explain. the idea of "Chara is evil" is based in the interactions you can have with Chara in the genocide route. sometimes Chara would put a red dialog in the text box and say stuff. (some examples are with the heart locker, If you put it on it will say "Right where it belongs", and if you interact with Asgore's fridge it appears "No chocolate." I dont really remember that well all the weird things that the red text says but sometimes I think it said really weird or messed up stuff) other thing that may support this theory is that when you attack Sans while he is sleeping he will dodge your attack and then, without you doing anything, the fight button will be pressed a second time. this action is belived to be from Chara. The people who think that Chara isnt an actual evil spirit normally uses as an argument the fact that in your lil chat with Chara at the end of the genocide the fallen human will say that its thanks to "your guidence" that now they know the purpose of their reincarnation, power. This can be interpreted as Chara not originally wanting or thinking about killing everyone and this just happens after you (the player) tell them to do so by killing everybody. Also, they sometimes use the fact that in the pacifist route Chara helps by showing the player how they met Asriel so we can use the "save" button on Asriel to stop the fight and free our friends since we didnt had any good memories with Asriel and just as Frisk, we are seeing him for the first time in our lives so the only one who could have done that is Chara. (Toriel and Asgore are off of the posibilities since in the cutscene we see they werent actually present the moment they met, Chara and Asriel were alone) Some people says as well that in the ruins, Chara gives you information like translating what the froggits said to you or telling you that the little chair that is in Toriel's room it's named "Chariel". btw, I tried my best to be neutral and not give my own opinion on the explenation but I'm honestly more in the "Chara is not evil" side.
