There's best practice and then there's practice. On the bright side, these guys keep real tradesmen working.

Well there is that, but then the homeowner suffers

@@StarrTile I completely agree. But there is personal responsibility that should come in the guise of due diligence. Ask for licenses, bonding, Insurance and of course, references. Fercryingoutloud, get references. Caveat Emptor. As my father once told me, if you can't be smart, you'd better be tough or rich. ;-)

Would just like to say the way curb is installed marble field tile whatever the product used the top should always overlap the inside and outside risers of the curb....I've watched a lot of your videos and yes you do know what's going on and yes I'm sure all qualified tile installers will have a opinion but please keep up the good work but do think about something thats easy to refer to so people understand is your tread piece or shelf should always overlap the riser below and you can explain why in your next video....thank you for all your effort of helping others

Me at 45 seconds: “oh come on Bob it ain’t so bad”
Me at 4 minutes: “wow this is truly terrible and shady work”
Me at 10 minutes: “this guy should be taken to an island and dropped off to fend for himself for the rest of his life.”

Thank you for all this knowledge!! I've been studying your videos for the past 3 months on how to build a shower, and I finally felt confident enough to start. So far it's looking great, I am taking my time and making sure that my pan is completely waterproof per your instructions. Thank you again!!
