Disclaimer: A long long time ago I made a RUclips video as a joke “Annoying Piano Songs” (Part 1) I didn’t expect it to get over 100 Views at the time I uploaded it, as I only had 87 subscribers. Only recently had part 1 gone viral, which enticed me to create Part 2 about five years later. I don’t actually find any of these songs annoying, pretty much 90% of all these are the first piano songs I ever learned myself. I guess they are more just overplayed if anything. These songs were the gateway into the music career I have and love today. I encourage anyone and everyone to learn as much as you can and enjoy your instrument, play these songs, and 1,000 more, because without music, life would not be anywhere close to how beautiful it is today! I sometimes will listen to bad songs because i like them, or because my friends like them. I'm okay with 'river flows in you' and I'll listen occasionally. But the song structure is weak and any beginner pianist will pick that song because it's easy to play and it makes you sound good even if you don't really know how to play the piano. Or are willing to learn harder pieces. So it's overplayed. But yes, in a matter of opinion, you can think it's a good song. I think it's nice. Just a little overused.
we play greensleves every year for our christmas concert and we played the circus song for competition. that’s how much of a meme our band director is.
Pieces which are not annoying to me: 1. C.P.E. Bach's Solfeggietto, because I love transcription of this piece by M.-A.Hamelin 2. Greensleeves, because of Busoni's transcription (Elegy No. 4).

To me, those songs are the most overplayed songs on piano that people would play to make them seem “good” at the piano. Although you’d seem skilled when playing them they are actually rather easy which is why a lot of pianists find those songs annoying.

I think a lot of these "annoying songs" are still good learning pieces with varying difficulty levels that motivate people to continue learning piano, since they induce a positive or familiar reactions. Just because it's overplayed shouldn't take away from someone's joy of playing it for themselves or someone else.
The thing with Fur Elise is how do you know how many times and how fast do you g between those two notes before continuing the song... or is that the joke that was made in this video?
I try to learn piano, then my bro comes in and just button mashes. Or whatever the piano equivalent of button mash is, like when someone pretends to know piano and just randomly presses keys.
try hearing many people think they play it well, only to rush through it or take away from the essence that was the original player. I get that everyone has their own style, but with so many mistakes/changes in tempo, it starts to annoy you whenever you hear that piece - especially when so many people play it (or try to), you know?)
