w00t I got my 1st RLC HW ordered this morning with the new HWC Trucking Thunder Roller. I can't wait till it gets here, this is my late B-Day gift that I'm getting myself. 😁
I'd love to have an example of the Thunder Roller but I never saw the Retro Entertainment BJ and the Bear version in stores in Ottawa and I think that was the only time it was ever at retail. I definitely wish they could put the BJ and the Bear Thunder Roller back in Entertainment but it's too niche a property for Replica Entertainment as it is today (and I rarely find Entertainment cars anymore anyhow). I miss classic Retro Entertainment where the properties the vehicles were based on were a little more eclectic. I do have the Smokey and the Bandit Kenworth (plus the Trans-Am).
I like the purple one but the gold one has the mud flaps painted looks more real. Another heavy casting truck is the Hot Wheels oil/water truck made in the 80s. The whole truck is solid metal including the tank. Mine says Hot Wheels Railroad on the tank and has a working black hose that extends from the side
The heaviest hot wheels models are: VW Drag Bus Peter Built Tank Truck Greyhound Bus Rollin’ Thunder In that order, rolling thunder is heavier as a premium Honorable mentions: GMC Motorhome 55 Chevy Panel Van Rocket oil Special Edit: totally forgot about the RLC Hulkbuster that might be first, it’ll definitely be first if you add Iron Man on
UGGHHHHHH! Those Car Culture sets in the background are FIRE! I have been waiting for these for weeks and I am so scared every Target near me is going to be wiped out!
I’m going to try. The red and white is from BJ and Bear, the W900 is a Kenworth. The racing ones looks very similar to a Diamond Reo or the White that my dad used to drive.
Just curious Lamley, could you do a video side-by-side comparison between the Thunder Roller v. Custom Convoy v. OPTIMUS PRIME! That'd be so friggin' cool to see!
Hello friend, I come to congratulate you, excellent channel, it keeps us informed of everything new but I have a question for you, do you have any video of the rlc time machine, I am looking for but only one video comes out and I would like to find a video where they speak well of this car already I see that almost nobody has this casting
Personally, The Thunder Roller is a bastardization of the original Kenworth K100e Hot Wheels released in 1981 with the Steering Rigs Series. That series alone saw casting that no longer exist in any form in the Hot Wheels lineup! The original Kenworth K100e released was a queen-sized sleeper, not the Aerodyne like the Thunder Roller (which was also a real sleeper), and was a much much nicer casting. It even had embossed Kenworth lettering on the front above the front wheels like the real tractor. I have an original Steering Rig Kenworth K100e with the Hot Wheels white van trailer that is in about 95% condition. I also have the other release from 1981 another casting that never came back. The Peterbilt 359 Conventional with the Shell Tank Trailer. That model is in about 98% condition! But the point here is that Kenworth Thunder Roller with that what looks like a Drom box behind the sleeper looks very toy-like! The RLC versions are nice but the original casting would have been a hell of a lot better! Hot Wheels needs to bring these trucks back! Not only was the Kenworth K100e and Peterbilt 359 really nice castings, but Hot Wheels also did a Ford LT9000, GMC General, Mack R Model, and White Road Boss. 6 different trailers were also released from 1981 to 1982, The first 3 tractor-trailer combos HW released was the Kenworth K100e with the white HW Racing van trailer, Peterbilt 359 with Shell Tank Trailer and third was the GMC General with a sand and gravel bottom discharge trailer. 1982 saw 3 new tractors and 3 new trailer releases. The Mack R Model with a grain trailer, Ford LTL9000 with a moving trailer, and the WHite ROad Boss with a cattle trailer. Those were the 6 tractors and 6 trailers Hot Wheels produced. They of course over the next couple of years matched tractors with different trailers in different paint schemes. HW Also offered stand-alone tractors in blister packs. I am happy to have the 2 from the first release they are 40 years old now and I only wish I still had the boxes for them!
Anyone know of a good place to find hot wheels in the Dallas Forth Worth area ? I saw a video once of an awesome store there, but I don't know the name of it.

The black and gold Kenworth Conventional is from Smokey and the Bandit, the Red and White Aerodyne is from the TV show BJ and the Bear.
Also the red and white Thunder Roller, I think was from BJ and the Bear
And the kenworth truck from the smokey and the bandit.

Solid metal? Cool!! Now that’s a car that u don’t wanna drop!
@@hotwheelsbrothers687 it was only like that once or twice. I have a couple that have plastic tank and base.
Maybe the Greyhound bus from 1980 or the Airport Rescue from 1981, both with metal bodies and metal bases

VW Drag Bus
Peter Built Tank Truck

How in the world the rocket oil special is heavy????
Thunder Roller 124.7g
Drag Bus (o.g.) 121.3g
Drag Bus retool 101g

The full-metal Pete Tanker weighs in at 103g on my scale.

Red Thunder Roller was BJ and the Bear
Opening doors be cool definitely aiming to get one tomorrow
I love this casting! :)
Hey John, does the Thunder Roller come anywhere close to fitting in a Carney case?
6:18 are those Matchbox wheels?!?!
I agree ... a truck and car hauler would be a great combo
I’m going to try. The red and white is from BJ and Bear, the W900 is a Kenworth. The racing ones looks very similar to a Diamond Reo or the White that my dad used to drive.
The Long Gone was in the 2014 Pop Culture Just Born set

What are the common prices for this thunder rollers? I don’t want to get hustled for when I do find one thanks guys
Like to know how to buy some of those items, can't find any were.
Hi mate, would Mattel ship the thunder roller in a protector? First time ordering from Mattel with Hot Wheels membership.
Thanks
Yes they do.
What's the difference between BJandBear and this purple RLC?
What’s the weight of Rlc one ? And old 1983 yellow one ..
Between this and the VW Drag Bus, which is heavier?
the drag bus is the heaviest
The Drag Dairy or Blown Dairy is probably 1 and 2 as far has heavy castings..
Damm the skyline set. 🔥 📛
I think I like the look of the purple one better but I like the details on the gold one better like the back off! On the mudflaps
Hello to you. Trying to get an answer from anyone. Doesn't devalue if you open them?
Where can a person get a RLC rolling thunder truck in the Montreal area?
Love this casting, sure hope I get one.
@ETHAN FORBIS haha
@ETHAN FORBIS RLC -________-
Little Debbie had a mail in big rig with a Kenworth cab I believe.
How do I find the hotwheels big rigs ? I love rigs & would like to buy one

got it! thank goodness!! just one, but I'm so excited!
Ooh something cool! How do you buy those I’ve tried you have to spend money every year to get one?
Drag Bus is heavier, and maybe Rocket Oil is the other heavier one?
I hope they make a 3rd Kenworth truck, I wanna make a Custom like the one from License to Kill
I got the looney tunes marvin kenworth and just painted it black. Its a lot cheaper. Dont be scared to custom that one.

Ilove heavy diecast. Maybe soon i can have this one
Are they available at Walmart?
i actually have a basic Thunder Roller in a dark Reddish Purple
awesome
I wonder when the first truck that u reviewed would be in premium or basic
Steampunk will never be anything but Rlc/Hwc. At 22 pieces it is way to expensive and complex to be profitable.
Woohoo confirmed preorder!
I have a thunder roller that is really hard to find it’s from the series x v racers
And if you don’t believe me look for 21278
Got mine!
Not in the uk unfortunately. My kids would love these.
I've heard the VW Drag Bus is the heaviest model. Can anyone confirm?
Not.
@@cleverusernamenexttime2779 what are the two castings heavier than Thunder Roller?
I love them all 😂
Hey you need to see the BJ and the Bear Semi truck on the TV show the cab is different from the real truck
Smokey and the bandit
Ya ! Mr. John , that last on is bad as well!
Son of a lucky!!
Woww
And here's me who can't even buy it because I missed the RLC membership...
Pretty sure you can by a virtual membership at the same time you buy the car.
You don't have to. Add the truck to cart. It automatically adds the membership for 10 bucks.
Or go get one now. Membership is unlimited.
Where can you buy this truck?
hmm..........if thunder roller is the third heaviest, then the other two could be the VW drag bus and rocket oil.

it went in the first thirty minutes :(
which is actually kind of long considering other castings have sold out in just a couple of minutes before.
30 minutes is plenty of time to buy the car. Set an alarm next time

I thought the truck in Smokey and the Bandit was black and gold?
IMO Hot Wheel semi trucks are way to small
Dude needs to research these models, i.e., the movie and TV show models before presenting them to know which is which.
