    I had 2 dart frogs in my early 20’s which was about 6-7 years ago! I loved them very fun to build a live vivarium. I have always been a plant person so it came second nature to me, reason I don’t have them anymore my partner and I broke up many years ago and she decided to keep them. But I am very interested in having my own and can’t wait to start designing their environment. I like to get a vivarium started for about 1-3 months before putting live critters in them however that’s not necessary it’s more of a quality control for me! But to anyone looking to have a little slice of the rainforest in your home please do! It’s a massive conversation piece, I used to spend hours just looking at the plants and the frogs. So beautiful!

I used to have a couple of green tree frogs, and it doesn't sound like it will be any more involved than they were. I've also got a reef aquarium, and it really won't be nearly as involved as that is now.

The fruit flies aren't even hard to culture....I just got tired of doing it...lol. I had the green and black, Oelemari and the Citronella. They're definitely a cool critter to keep....as long as you keep the fly cultures going. BTW....I found new homes for my frogs.

    I have two whites tree frogs and they are on eco earth coco fiber mixed with real soil and live springtails. I pick up any visible poop at least every other day and check for any uneaten food. However in the last few days it has started to smell..not just an earthy smell but stinky like poop smell. I just took everything out (fake plants and hides) and cleaned it and turned the soil about a week ago. I stopped misting for a few days thinking that maybe the humidity was too high but my gauge says 50% most of the time.
    Any tips? Should I throw out my substrate and get more even though I have springtails in it? Are my springtails still living? Do springtails make a gross smell? I don’t have a drainage layer (hydro balls or stones) beneath my substrate could this be the issue?

    • @BigShrimpin416

Also I heard that a mourning gecko can lay eggs without a partner so how do I go about not having babies? Also can I have different color darts that are the same species? Like I noticed that theres the Dendrobates Tinctorius in different colors are those ok together?

    • @Jaywil07
      @Jaywil07  3 года назад +1

      All 4 darts the same. If you get them small typically you won’t sex them. Do not provide water standing and no tadpoles would happen.
