Hello friends and welcome to our house birds channel.
Bathing is important for the birds we keep at home because birds living in the cage environment are more polluted than their natural environment.
Stool accumulation in the cage, shedding of feed shells, accumulation of food crumbs and moles cause bacteria formation. If the budgerigar is not taking a bath, it will constantly itch, causing it to become anxious and stressful.
Not all birds can bathe. Some birds are afraid of bathing because they are not used to it. For budgies who do not bathe, warm water and apple cider vinegar is added to the spray bottle according to the ratio of the spray bottle and the bird is sprayed in powder form. Our spray bottle is 50 ml and we added 2 drops of apple cider vinegar. If you add too much vinegar it can damage your bird's eyes, so be careful. The reason we prefer a spray bottle that sprays in powder form is not to scare birds. Spraying the bird directly with water will cause it to be both afraid and too wet. Spray the powdered water and keep the bird's feathers moist.
After releasing, the bird will automatically trim its feathers.
