Back in the 80s I had the "FORTUNATE?" pleasure of gigging with Derf Scratch in Palm Springs, CA. The stage was so huge that there was a drum mixer set up on the drum riser, which stood 4ft high from the stage, which was about 30ft from the stage apron, band monitors included. The band was Derf/ bass, Barry Lynch/lead guitar, Carl Lynch/rhythm guitar, Haji (formerly of Parliament Funkedelics)/keyboards, and me, Kevo Blast (formerly of Outer Circle)/drums. We performed three strong sets including Derf's newest song, (You're My) Next Victim.
I hang out in the Day Room with the Straight jacket Set. I crawl through the shadows of the bars on my floor from my pills, from my pills. I'm in the Dust Ward permanently.
All the lyric sites claim the lyrics in 'Waiting for the Meat' are 'No time for words dude.' I've listened to this song 10's of thousands of times, sometimes on repeat for hours on end. I'm here to tell you the actual words are "Low tide for words dude." Listen closely, and if you still don't believe me, ask Lee.
