Horsforth in 1883

Travel back in time to Horsforth in the year 1883. Using old postcards and photographs, from the collections of Alan Cockroft and Horsforth Museum, we start at the bottom of Town Street on The Green and work our way up to Lane Head. Why 1883? The Bell Chapel was still standing, St Margaret's Church was part built, there are newspaper reports from that year and the Census was taken in 1881.
