I just checked. Finnish noun endings are fiendishly complex, but there are NO dative cases, let alone three as Richard Ayoade says. So if he tries to pull THAT little trivia item on anyone again... you can say that while Finnish nouns have an adessive and an illative ending, plus both internal and external locatives, there actually isn't a separate dative at all. That'll shut him up.
Sidney Richard I didn't even notice this until you said it guess I thought it was a joke that I didn't understand😂 Who came up with that lol. Exactly, Finnish doesn't have actual dative but we have grammatical cases that act like it.
+pyy The most wonderful thing about the internet is that I can put a comment like that down and weeks later AN ACTUAL FINNISH-SPEAKING PERSON FROM FINLAND can leave an answer. And all because of a throwaway joke about noun cases. Thank you for the reply! And, of course, traditional expressions of respect and envy for your level of English, as opposed to my level of Finnish. Cheers, mate.
This should be a 2 hour feature film.
Finnish media introduces Rudd as "the actor from Friends". I can't even
pyy Well, he did play in the series.
Michaël Lejeune The point was: if you like to think of it as his most memorable performance - sure.
That's hilarious. Can you link to me a source of this?
Philip Wester I'm sorry, googled it and they seem to have at some point changed the headline "actor from Friends" into "Hollywood star".
Aw, man! I guess they got enough protests from angry fans.
"Probably wrong conversation stopper"
Damn,wish it was longer
I love to spy on animals from a kayak.

Paddleboarders always 2 one an apprentice and one Master
I wondered if Richard was playing off Paul's Darth Vader comment (making a 'Rule of Two' reference). We can only hope... :)
Paul Rudd was in Finland? Where the hell have I been

To be fair he did say it was "probably wrong".
It WAS a joke 🤣
These two have similar “clever”personalities
"I think I see Tina Turner."
Paul Rudd looks super short I didn’t realize this.
Richard is quite tall though I think he’s about 6’2
That was less painful then the burger King one
I assume this was the best decision North One ever made...

They just got out of prison.
Sorkijan Ha Ha.
Those paddle boarders think they are very wordly and international for doing that.
£41 for a kayak sojourn....Bollocks. Go to the nearest pub, have a drink with the locals and have a good laugh.
