This was great... Until you had the absolute PERFECT opportunity to say "now that i have all my ducks in a row." I turned it off in anger after that. The dad in me just could not look past how irresponsible you were at ignoring the flashing lights and alarm sounds indicating the chance at a great pun. Alas, i took a deep breath and turned it back on. This was a great review, despite the lack of tenacity for puns. I think I'm going to try the zicoto, as I'm not thrilled after using joyeza and htvront for about a year. Thank you for the effort you put into this! And for giving me a chance to have my oldest kid come over to me and harshly judge my mental state as i was just blankly staring at a screen of ducks.
Wonderful resource. Thank you for sharing your tests. I just ordered your sample pack of papers and hopefully that will help me choose which I like best with my printer. ☺
5:23 I would note that you do want to keep in mind the thickness of the sticker sheet if you're going to put a laminate on top of it. If you have a thick sticker sheet and you also have a thick laminate, you're going to have a very thick sticker. If you plan on putting the stickers or the customer plans are putting these stickers on curved surfaces, like for example a hydro flask, if the sticker is very thick it will become very rigid to apply.
Hello Gabby, I really appreciate your reviews. You did a great job and covered all of the bases. Thank you. I am BRAND NEW to this hobby. I am getting kind of old now, close to 80 YO than to 70 YO but in pretty good health. I am a bit vision impaired and this seem to be a good choice compared to a laser or a CNC machine. I think I will take your suggestions and go with the Joyeza. I do have a question, please. What kind of laminate do you recommend please. Sincerely G. OBrien...Houston, TX.
I'm new to sticker making and I haven't decided on what paper to use, just trying out some things I had on hand, The one I like the best is Cricket candy, but I have no idea where I got it.
1:26 If you're looking for that glossy look, if you buy matte paper and put a laminate sheet over it you will not get that glossy look. You will still have that matte look. The runniness that you get from glossy paper is because of the treatment that is put on the vinyl. If they don't put the correct treatment on the vinyl and you try to put it into an inkjet printer it will come out runny. HTVront has very good glossy vinyl that is made to be used in an inkjet printer. Printing on glossy paper is going to give you a more bold and crisp look than printing on matte. I personally print on glossy vinyl and then use a transparent permanent vinyl on top of the print. This makes it highly water resistant and you don't have to worry about that runniness.
I use Avery self-adhesive laminating sheets (amzn.to/43aq4O1) for the glossy stickers. For matte, I don't use a laminate sheet. That is when you really want to make sure your sticker paper is good quality.

Such a good video and cleared some things up! What type of laminating paper do you use with matte stickers?

Super helpful and informative! Thanks :)!
This is really helpful, thank you!!
Do you mind if I ask what you use to laminate them with afterwards?

very helpful video! Thank you so much!
Awesome video! Thanks.
this was a great review video. thank you!!
You're welcome
Thank you!!
My joyeza stickers bleed even with the laminate. Any reason you can think of?
You might need to play around with your printer settings. Or the ink needs to dry faster.
