Mitchell over Young hands down. Young is not just a liability defensively, he is the every year candidate for the worst defender in the league! And Mitchell is still better offensively when it comes to what’s actually needed in the playoffs and not just regular season. You replace either Russell or Reaves with Mitchell and you win the Nuggets series.

To be honest, I like the roster. Not having Vanderbilt hurt us. Vincent gotta go. Russell is the biggest issue because he’s really good until the playoffs come then he disappears. If they can upgrade from him then that’s the key move. Honestly, if they can get Mitchell they best not hesitate! That boy is playoff battle tested and ready! Remember that series Utah vs Denver? Him and Murray went tit fa tat.

The Lakers should try to get a center, Lauri Markkanen first...before anything else. Then get a reliable 3rd option. I suggest getting Zach Lavine and Demar DeRozan.
Here's a wild one...get a center Kai Sotto. He is playing overseas. He is a 7'3" center, and 21-22 yrs old. He averages 16.8 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. He can knock down 3 point shots. A young player that's continuing to develop. The Lakers can get him for a bag of peanuts.
I would draft Bronny too. I don't know what everyone else is seeing. But I see potentially a young and outstanding player. He has a high IQ, He is very athletic, He is a good defender, He can shoot 3s, and looks like a good character young player. Depends on the team's needs and how they want to develop him.

What if a playoff team drafts Bronny first round? Not a problem. This will work out greatest for everyone. Bronny goes first round and the Lakers can get a max contract to max trade and possibly other assets. Most likely playoff teams to draft Bronny first round and spark a trade for LBJ: 1) Suns, 2) Clippers, 3) a tie between Cavs and Wolves, 4) Pacers, 5) Sixers.
    1) The Suns are out of options and picks and their big three is a bust. Getting LBJ will be a refresh to keep fans interested for one more season at least. Most likely person traded for LBJ: KD or Beal.
    2) The Clippers are letting PG walk and can get out of Kawhi’s contract. Then after one more season a complete rebuild. LBJ gets to reunite with Lue and play with Harden. That’s enough for the Clippers fans to attend games.
    3) Wolves don’t need KAT and can experiment with LBJ alongside Naz/Edwards/Gobert. The Cavs got many options, get something for Donovan or for the others.
    4) The Pacers obviously covet the Lakers first round picks and will try, again.
    5) Philly has cap space and a one year experiment works out well.

Keep Dinwiddie, and Hayes for length at their position and we’re good. Give max Christie and can reddish some playing time and opportunity and we are off and running.

JJ-Redick take on Rudy vs Jokic match up is why the Lakers can't have him as a coach. Clearly Rudy not as great defensive player. All the Wolve did was took him off Jokic and then the team looked just like they did in game 1, 2 and 6. I doubt JJ-Redick would have made such adjustment if he gets the coaching job so please get JJ far away from the Lakers

I have more creative ideas. Go get a younger guy. I’d offer Rui, Gabe 17 for John collins and Keyonte George. Might need to put extra picks in.
Or throw everything we have for a guy like Vassell.
How can we land the next star. If we could have gotten a Keyonte George last year we would be so much better off

My view of your analysis quality went down when you guys can't see the glaring talent gap between murray and reeves! This is why denver sent us home. We put a non athlete on a real athlete. Look how jamal murray looks when he has real athletes from Minnesota guarding him! Every game this season teams took turns exploiting austin reeves. But yet the lakers have an inability to see his value has peaked and that he is slowly mean reverting into a non- drafted player!
