I saw your how to make notepads video maybe almost a year ago (I can't remember, time is a myth) but I've been subscribed since then! But also I love listening to studio vlogs, they're so calming and relaxing and they help me with my mornings and are just a really nice chill thing to have on in the background. I definitely like them since I have a hard time focusing and it feels like I'm actually hanging out with someone when watching. I love tutorial videos too, but I can't always focus and pay attention to those. But it was also really inspiring to hear that you were also extremely awkward in your early videos! I have the same problem when I even remotely try to record myself, and video recording feels so unnatural and like so much work, but I really want to be able to provide the same experience for other people. Watching this was very inspiring, and while I can't say whether or not I will be ever starting a youtube channel, this was very helpful to watch for anyone who would want to start on video content.
Time is definitely a myth 😂 so glad you found me through one of my tutorials! That’s why is so cool to create videos regarding a lot of subjects, it’s an opportunity to get to the right people too! I work full time so I don’t really need revenue from YT but the dream would be to earn enough money from YT to stop work and be at home more. Aaa I wanted to share my experience and what made me start a youtube channel! First of all, you were one of my biggest inspirations alongside with Katnipp, JulianneDoodles, AppleCheeks and so many more. I wanted to make "Studio Vlogs" and I wanted to make "Daily Life" vlogs and somehow I found a way of mixing both and people seem to enjoy it as well ^^ I was very nervous in the beginning, not having english as my first language and without any experience talking to a camera ahaha I was also afraid I was "too late" for the party, since everyone was already making it. But I just did it! And it's one of my favorite things to create now! Editing the best parts, choosing the songs to go with it, making little animations for parts of the video. I don't know, there's so many things you can do with your videos so please if any of you want to start, start now! Or anytime really! Don't feel like you're "too late". I know it's probably lame to hear it like that but it's never too late if you enjoy doing it! Let's go!! 🥰💙
It was super motivating to hear how your editing speed has increased! Editing is always the killer for me so it's really inspiring to hear someone say that it was slow in the beginning but speeds up. Loved this video, thanks so much for sharing :)

Yeah Instagram is not friendly to artists and most of it is just reposted tiktoks now. I used to love IG but I don’t touch it anymore and am just focusing on RUclips and Pinterest.

This was a helpful video! I think for me the biggest struggle is editing. I’ve been focusing on shorts and have a ton of long form videos I’ve recorded in the past month I need to edit and put together, but it makes me anxious and I’m not comfortable showing myself yet!
Editing is so hard and time consuming. Good luck with your journey, I understand feeling uncomfortable showing yourself, I was petrified in my first video but my confidence has grown with each video and the anxiety is much less now.
I remember when I first found your channel, it inspired me so much to carry on on my own YT journey. Seeing you making it and being so kind and such a nice vibe, it really gave me motivation. I love watching you work. I’ve crafted and created things since I was very small and people would ask how did you do that. I am incredibly shy and never think that what I do has any worth, but I finally found the courage to start a RUclips channel three weeks ago. I am happy just to collect videos of my process and show them to anyone who asks how I did things. I agree is weird talking to yourself and I hate the sound of my voice, but I faced my fears and I just did it. Bravo to anyone who takes the plunge and just do it for yourself. OMG i love katnipp so much! Catherine is the best!!! I started a youtube last year and i honestly can say I feel like time is just a blur with me and I have to work on my time schedule. Right now I have to work doordash/instacart to make an income in order to keep staying home because things are slow with my small business and sales are very minimal. When i first started working from home svg files were super big and now the market is just way too over saturated so sales are way less. I havent been really consistent with my vlogs bc i always forget to vlog or record lol... so I am always like crap i didnt record that lol... But I am trying to get better! Thank you for alwayas sharing your journey!!!

But from the outside it seems that this is a huge amount of work, very intense and complex. Do you think it is realistic for an artist from the EU (where there are high taxes and a high standard of living) to achieve the goal of fully supporting himself full time with his creativity?
RUclips and content creation is kind of my side job, illustration is my full time eheh. I think it really depends on a lot of things like where you live, the expenses you gave, your goals in life, if you have debt or can’t risk too much… for me is worth it 💛

Does shorts hurt your channel? I used to get more views on my longer content last year and now I barely get views. But I have been doing shorts. Wondering if that's why you don't do them?
Huuum I’m not sure? I only posted a few a while ago and tbh I don’t remember how that affected my videos. I don’t post them because I keep forgetting really.. I had a few new followers from the shorts I’ve posted a while ago but don’t really know if that might affect the other type of content

This was a helpful video! I think for me the biggest struggle is editing. I’ve been focusing on shorts and have a ton of long form videos I’ve recorded in the past month I need to edit and put together, but it makes me anxious and I’m not comfortable showing myself yet!

Editing is so hard and time consuming. Good luck with your journey, I understand feeling uncomfortable showing yourself, I was petrified in my first video but my confidence has grown with each video and the anxiety is much less now.

I love watching you work. I’ve crafted and created things since I was very small and people would ask how did you do that. I am incredibly shy and never think that what I do has any worth, but I finally found the courage to start a RUclips channel three weeks ago. I am happy just to collect videos of my process and show them to anyone who asks how I did things. I agree is weird talking to yourself and I hate the sound of my voice, but I faced my fears and I just did it. Bravo to anyone who takes the plunge and just do it for yourself. OMG i love katnipp so much! Catherine is the best!!! I started a youtube last year and i honestly can say I feel like time is just a blur with me and I have to work on my time schedule. Right now I have to work doordash/instacart to make an income in order to keep staying home because things are slow with my small business and sales are very minimal. When i first started working from home svg files were super big and now the market is just way too over saturated so sales are way less. I havent been really consistent with my vlogs bc i always forget to vlog or record lol... so I am always like crap i didnt record that lol... But I am trying to get better! Thank you for alwayas sharing your journey!!!

But from the outside it seems that this is a huge amount of work, very intense and complex. Do you think it is realistic for an artist from the EU (where there are high taxes and a high standard of living) to achieve the goal of fully supporting himself full time with his creativity?
RUclips and content creation is kind of my side job, illustration is my full time eheh. I think it really depends on a lot of things like where you live, the expenses you gave, your goals in life, if you have debt or can’t risk too much… for me is worth it 💛

Does shorts hurt your channel? I used to get more views on my longer content last year and now I barely get views. But I have been doing shorts. Wondering if that's why you don't do them?
Huuum I’m not sure? I only posted a few a while ago and tbh I don’t remember how that affected my videos. I don’t post them because I keep forgetting really.. I had a few new followers from the shorts I’ve posted a while ago but don’t really know if that might affect the other type of content
@@aPenasIllustrator we growing at a reasonable pace and I started doing shorts but while I grew a bit faster my view on my main video have gone down. I've seen a video that said short can kill channels and I wondered if you know anything more
