Living in the land of concrete and glass, NYC , your new living/property is inspiring. The slower pace is something that I am looking forward to. Congrats on your find and I see how it goes hand in hand with your audio setup. Beautiful and Serene.
Good move all around, happiness is in your heart and it shows. With the coming food shortage, it may be wise to have a vegetable garden as well. The peace and serenity is captivating, and your music room is a definite plus! Love your articles, please keep them coming!
Know what you mean. My system can be a bit lively and and a friend’s system with awesome resolution sometimes needs a bit of life. This balance also depends on your source media. My extroverted system just sings with a well recorded and performed recording. Other recordings can sound a bit “robotic”. Wires could help a bit.
As an owner of the Cary Audio SLP-05 and a First Watt amp I was not inclined to accept that this integrated could possibly be better. But as I listened to what you were saying and after reading your review I became intrigued. Synergy and personal preferences obviously rule the day. My preference is for a warmer sound. But I can see how this little box might be the answer in some situations. I do like the simplicity. Thanks for doing this.
Yea it’s all about what we like to hear. We can tune our systems to our own preferences. The best Ive heard the devilles is with this amp. But I still adore and will keep my Cary and pass which will go back in for the fall and winter. There’s no such thing as “the best” when it comes to audio. Also, I only make videos for the stuff I really feel is really good for the money. Anyway, there’s no right or wrong just preference and we all have different preferences.
Yeh this has me curious, too. I have a Backert Labs & First Watt combo powering some 0/93s and am wondering how this little guy would work with my speakers.
Thank you for sharing your property and the experience of moving. Can you build and test some outdoor stereo systems and share results? I grew up in rural Michigan on 10 acres of wooded property and have been in city and suburban areas for 35 years. Big properties are a lot of work, especially as you get older. Think about letting some go back to natural (or mow once a year) and just keep a small manicured area around your house. Maybe one acre of turf around the house for the dogs.
I really enjoyed this video Steve and thanks for sharing the various cost. That always adds a little more insight to other parts of the world around us. I too enjoy Hi-Fi and photography so your channel is right my alley and I always look forward to your videos on either subject.
absolutely amazing, also your new home, in my room I use gikacoustics, for me a big sound plus. The fleedwood sq are unbelievable. I visited OMA hifi at the high end in Munich. What a incredible company. The fleetwood sq are definitely on my wishlist, solid wood for a speaker? What a crazy idea! The OMA amplifiers are also amazing. By the way, on my way back home, I spent 2 day at the Leica park.
Wow what an adventure you had! Sounds awesome. I agree that the OMA stuff is truly spectacular. The Fleetwood Sound division will be coming out with electronics soon as well. Lower price I assume :)
The wife and I just moved out of the Phoenix area two months ago to get more peace and slower pace of life. We only went over an hour south of Phoenix as we still love the Sonoran desert but the slow pace has been well worth the loss of conveniences we thought we had. If 2020 brought anything it made the wife and I realize we want peace and a more self sustaining lifestyle. Congrats on a wonderful property and may you and your family there be blessed for many years to come.
Awesome property Steve. Its a good thing you dont have pollen allergies because you wouldnt survive 4 hours of mowing the lawn. I hope you can get Amazon deliveries to your house. :) Definitely a slice of heaven. Personally I would hire a Full time Gardener that doesnt have a Green card. Let him live in one of the buildings. Kudos to you for taking care of all the animals too. Same thing where I live. I put out like $40-50 a day of Cat food to feed all the Ferals that live in the woods around my house. The Coons, Skunks and Opossum love it too :) Wanna see something amazing? Put a whole peeled banana around the groundhog holes. They will stand up on their hind legs, pick up the banana with both hands like a popsicle and eat it. They love Romaine lettuce, Peanuts and Sunflower Hearts too. Great review on the Enleum as well. You need to try a VALVET Amp with those Deville's. Might be magical with the Cary Pre. Thanks again for sharing your "world".
Congrats on the beautiful property. Without you knowing you just expanded immensely you life span, your zip code is the most important metric for health, few know this but its backed by studys.
I'm in San Diego, paradise? Sure, if you like a corrupt totalitarian government run by incompitant narcissist's. Life is a series of compromises, We make plans & God laughs. Your place is beautiful my friend, all the best!
I lived in Tempe for 18 years, but just couldn’t handle another summer. I moved North of San Diego and it’s nice, but I’m gonna move to a rural Midwest state and get back to farm life.
We’re the gardeners and will always have to be. We are near no one, and even if there were a gardener willing to drive and hour they would charge much more than I would ever pay. We enjoy it. It’s exhausting but keep us in shape too :) I enjoy the mow days actually! We will be adding the greenhouse soon for veggies or at a minimum a fenced in garden area. then some fruit trees way out front in the open areas. Plan is to be as self sustaining as possible in the next couple of years. Thanks for watching!
Yes when we found the place I told Debby there was no way we could live here. I assumed there was no internet at all but when I found out there was 1GB fiber I was all in, lol.
wow, love how you live. Beautiful property. I wanted to ask what you do about heat and your equipment. Meaning do you do anything to keep your equipment cooler? I was always under the impression that too much heat was the enemy of electronics. I even have a fan blowing into the side of my desktop computer to keep the 3 hard drives from getting too hot.
Very intriguing amp. I like the size, simplicity, and the headphone amp. I'm curious if it is enough to drive my Devore o/93s in a 17x23 room. Any thoughts?
Hello from Ukraine! amazing place for living and relaxing. I wish I could visit your house and listen a music with you man! This place is a dream for such ambient music guys like me, who is listening eclectic sound styles! btw. what state this place in?
Does it work with vinyl records? I hear they are bringing back vinyl records then regular disk. I used to have radio station that goes with disk player and vinyl. It also has tape player. Congrats on your property. Peace brings love. I live in open area something like that.
Steve - Very jealous - We are here in Anthem and my wife would love to move and get that kind of land, no neighbors, peace and quiet! Unfortunately, cannot do such now since I own my own business here in Phoenix............... Btw, Glen and boys miss you at the shop!
Anthem is a nice place, kind of a ways out if the city which is nice. I also miss the HiFi shop. Seeing what was new, just hanging out and chatting. If you see Glen tell him I said hi!
Steve that is a gorgeous place I would do it in a heartbeat but my wife would be very scared to leave the city it’s too quiet for her she is scared of intruders that you can’t see at Night Bolt the ones that are living and the ones that have moved on.
I get it. We were a bit nervous the first couple of nights but we feel Much safer here than in the city without question. We sleep better too due to the quiet. Our drive is 1000 feet long and we know if someone is entering the drive at anytime. So far, no one has besides ups, fedex, and visitors we knew about have entered. It’s a very safe area, and our home is also very private, hidden and there are no main roads around us. There are a few Amish that live in the area and they have been very friendly when we see them when out and about.
I tried to find the specs of your speakers and could not seem to find the info (sensitivity) so I would suggest a trial first. I do know there’s a dealer on audition that gives 45 days to try out.
hi, after a 2hours test listening of the 23r in a pro shop, this morning, i'm hesitating btw the ex-m1+ and 23r to complete my second system which is composed of elac adante(85db), denafrips pontus ii. do you think "the synergy" w the 23r would be more ineresting than the kinky one? architect and amateur photographer from seoul.
Those Adante speakers need some current, probably more than the 23R can bring. But really it depends on the size of your room. The Kinki has more power and grunt for those speakers.
Nice property. It's worth the effort. When you're a bit older, you may need to consider something more modest, less labor intensive. In the meantime...bucolic splendor!
Thank you and I agree in the older age thing. The couple who built this place in 2004 stayed until mid 70s and the mother was in her mid 90s. So looks like sometime in our 70s we will scale down :)
The luxman l550 ax2 is 20 watts @8ohms while the Enleum is 25 watts. The Luxman's asking price is 6,495, it's more expensive than the Enleum. Why would you get the Luxman over the Enleum?
Trying to sell a crap amplifier to audiophiles, no thanks. You would not know the best sound quality if it hit you in the face. That amplifier is well overpriced, as well as a poorer amplifier design than my two older AVI S2000MI used as completely separate monoblocks for left and right loudspeakers. Made in 1997, they blow away new more expensive Crap as the likes of this piece of crap amplifier you are promoting.
Your way outta touch with some of your recommendations. This thing is a joke at $6K when you can easily get into true reference like a Luxman, Aesthetix or Hegel! 🤦♂️🪐🛸
Sorry but I have this amp here, and am listening right now. I purchased the review unit and set my other amps aside. If you do not need extras, like phono stage, DAC or XLR then I’ve heard nothing that touches the sound of this integrated. Not even my separates that cost 4x the cost do not sound as good with my speakers. So no, I am not out of line. As I said, if you have high efficiency speakers this will sound much better than most integrated amps in the $10-15k range. Yes even better than the names you mentioned. I’ve had them so I have heard them. That’s a fact. Read owners reviews on this enluem … there are plenty. It’s quite a special piece if it fits your needs.
Congrats on the move. Property looks beautiful and peaceful. Your pets will have a blast there too
Our dogs love it. So much more than they did Phoenix. They actually run and play outside now, free to roam.
Wow
Awesome, good for you guys!!
Enjoy!!!!!!
Love that little amp wish it could power my speakers
Congratulations on a wonderful find! Love your videos and respect your recommendations. Best!
Thank you!

Thanks Brian!
Excellent and congratulations !! And thanks for ALL you bring and share here - top notch reviews and info !!
Thank you so much.
One of your most interesting videos yet. Loved the additional insight on your property and listening room.
Thanks!

Thanks and will do!
Thanks Steve, Watched it once then shared it with my wife. She enjoyed it just as much.
Thank you!
Excellent video, I like when you said that this days is all about savings money. 👍
Steve--my great friend whom I've never met. Wonderful tour. Thanks
Thank you!

Bought my first Leica (M9) through your review and thank you for bringing all the beautiful things (photography, hifi and rural living) to us.
Thank so much Chan! I remember the M9 days well!

Thanks for the great review and tour of your fabulous home/property. Things are look and sounding pretty good for you. Just the way it should be.
Thank you Paul!

Thank you! I may have a new camera video here soon :)
Thanks so much for sharing your home! We could see ourselves living that life.
Beautiful!
Kubota zero turn is what we use on our farm for around the house . Use noise canceling headphones and rock the whole time. I enjoy it
absolutely amazing, also your new home,
in my room I use gikacoustics, for me a big sound plus. The fleedwood sq are unbelievable. I visited OMA hifi at the high end in Munich. What a incredible company. The fleetwood sq are definitely on my wishlist, solid wood for a speaker? What a crazy idea! The OMA amplifiers are also amazing.

That’s wonderful to hear and thank you! It is beautiful in AZ for sure.
you got beautiful peaceful place nice dude
Thank you so much for the tour. I’m jealous. 😊
Beautiful property 👍🏾. Oh yeah, thanks for the audio review 🤣🤣
Thanks for the tour. Y'all have a lovely place.
Thank you mark.
Love the property! I suspect that audio room becomes "heaven" in the winter time or during a summer rain event.

Awesome property , well done, no worries about neighbours complaining when ya crank up the Devilles either
Congrats on the beautiful property. Without you knowing you just expanded immensely you life span, your zip code is the most important metric for health, few know this but its backed by studys.

A little piece of heaven i would say
Thank you.
Amazing property, thanks for sharing
I'm in San Diego, paradise? Sure, if you like a corrupt totalitarian government run by incompitant narcissist's. Life is a series of compromises, We make plans & God laughs. Your place is beautiful my friend, all the best!

I lived in Tempe for 18 years, but just couldn’t handle another summer. I moved North of San Diego and it’s nice, but I’m gonna move to a rural Midwest state and get back to farm life.
San Diego is gorgeous so I’m sure wherever you are it is beautiful!
Very beautiful piece of property, Steve. I almost want the property more than the 23-R.... almost.
Thanks Paul! It's peaceful and we grew to enjoy the work. Have a great day.
The thick blinds also help when you're dancing nude to your favourite tracks.
Beautiful property!
You're truly living the American Dream
A fascinating product. Funny, I thought until now you simply preferred a warm tilted system. :)
I prefer suburban living over rural or city living. Close to services while still being away from the noisiness of cities.
Definitely get some solar too to bring down those bills!
Not sure we get enough sun through the year. It’s cloudy mostly all winter and summer has mixed sun and rainy days. Lots of rain.
Absolutely stunning! You and Debbie have found paradise. Get a gardener to do the trimming and mowing. Now, in which State is this? Intrigued!
We’re the gardeners and will always have to be. We are near no one, and even if there were a gardener willing to drive and hour they would charge much more than I would ever pay. We enjoy it. For similar sound, but higher power, one might want to check out Crayon amps.
watching this video with headphones connected to my Enleum :)
Very intriguing amp. I like the size, simplicity, and the headphone amp. I'm curious if it is enough to drive my Devore o/93s in a 17x23 room. Any thoughts?

Oh yea, you can add a turntable to the AMP23. You would need a phono preamp as well.
Nice place. Welcome to my world:)
Kind of reminds me of the Chord Electronics Ttoby, but without the annoying fan.
I can see some of the reasons to leave the Valley. Would love to hear the reasons for not rural Arizona.
Steve - Very jealous - We are here in Anthem and my wife would love to move and get that kind of land, no neighbors, peace and quiet! Unfortunately, cannot do such now since I own my own business here in Phoenix............... Btw, Glen and boys miss you at the shop!

Have either of you ever hear strange noises at night? I would have IR cameras around the house, and movement spot lights.
You should get a mtn bike for that property if you don't already have one.
Enleum vs Topping LA90 would be interesting
Steve that is a gorgeous place I would do it in a heartbeat but my wife would be very scared to leave the city it’s too quiet for her she is scared of intruders that you can’t see at Night Bolt the ones that are living and the ones that have moved on.

I have a question would that Amp run my cerwin vega sl15 I would belive it doesn't have enough headroom but it sounds like a great amp

Some solar or your garage are you might get rid of the electric bill

Would this be able to drive the (relatively low sensitivity) heritage specials?
I would not recommend it for the Heritage Specials unless you are in a very small room and listen near field.
18:23 and you have an abandoned cemetey nearby right??
Wow
Very expensive in our country at least
Wow, you can't get an apartment 2 bed for less the £250k in UK !!
“ don’t go near that road”
That amp is Just A Little Guy
Where is your house?
Deep in the woods :)
6k dollars,,,sigh,, for those parts
Humans are social animals and everything about life revolves around it. Living alone is like bypassing life
